DOTWUK have a fun and friendly finance team in a small, but high-performing function and are looking for a collaborative, experienced and energetic leader for the role of Head of Finance.
In this exciting role, the successful candidate will provide the organisation with a timely, accurate and relevant financial management service by assuming day-to-day responsibility for the organisation’s accounting function, to enable the senior management team and the Board of Trustees to assess results and performance and make informed, strategic decisions, and ensure the organisation complies with statutory and corporate regulation and requirements.
You will work closely with the treasurer, directors and managers to enable them to manage their programme finances and support them to report to donors and to devise sound plans for growth and sustainability.
The UK chapter expects to grow income across all sources, including from institutions and foundations. You will play a critical role in maintaining and building on this success.
You will also be responsible for and provide input from a financial and management perspective on strategic development and the general organisation-wide structure and management as part of the Senior Management Team.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. Essential to this role will be data selections and donation processing. This will involve selecting data for appeals, appeal emails and Investigator and Year in Review mailings. You will manage data received from acquisition activity, including lead generation, cash, regular gift and new weekly lottery players and add them to the supporter database.
The Candidate
We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a positive attitude who has strong analytical and excel skills. You should have previous experience of working with a supporter database or CRM (Access Charity CRM would be an advantage but not essential) Furthermore, you should have knowledge of selecting and importing supporter data through bulk imports and exports. Ideally, you will have worked within the Charity or non-for-profit sector, but we do welcome applications from other sectors.
In addition to this, you should be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365.

The project
Landscape Recovery is one of Defra’s three environmental land management schemes. Avon Needs Trees has been awarded development phase funding for Landscape Recovery in the Lower Chew. This is a unique opportunity to help co-design nature’s recovery and social impact at a landscape scale. The project will engage existing landowners and managers across over 867 hectares of land in the Lower Chew, an area where good quality but fragmented woodland provides a basis for woodland connectivity and large-scale woodland creation, as part of a mosaic of grassland and woodland habitat. This locally-cherished landscape of rolling farmland on the edge of Bristol is the strategic setting for delivering local environmental and social priorities. Avon Needs Trees woodland projects include two Wiltshire Woodlands, the Great Avon Wood, Ed Woods, and the upcoming Lower Chew Forest.
Main responsibilities
● Join and help to lead our journey to discover the increased impact that private finance can bring to nature’s recovery
● Become our in-house expert on the local natural capital market and other forms of bringing private finance into nature’s recovery, including identifying and building relationships with potential future partners
● Being a strong advocate, internally and externally, for the landscape recovery project and the benefits it will deliver

Your Role

Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.

Currently, we have two permanent Centre Leader vacancies in our network, one based in Leeds and one based in Nottingham.
As a Centre Leader, you will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

About the role
As Operations Administrator, you will be an office superstar performing a range of support tasks to equip and enable the team to fulfil its mission of seeing the lives of offenders and their communities visibly transformed.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Being the first point of contact for all staff, clients and visitors, meeting and greeting visitors to the office at all levels of seniority.
- Screening enquiries and requests via phone, email and post, handling them when appropriate.
- Taking telephone referrals and responding to referral agencies’ queries, typically regarding client eligibility, course dates and current client attendance
- Building and managing relationships with service contract providers including phone, internet and printers
- Maintaining office systems, including filing, data management, shredding of sensitive information and managing stock.
- Maintaining the Newcastle office environment to a high standard, ensuring they are equipped and resourced, and ensuring the smooth-running of life in the office through the management of room bookings, parking rotas and diaries.
- Providing administrative support to the Operations team.
- Providing virtual support to staff based in Edinburgh and Teesside.
- Supporting our Outreach teams to thrive by removing barriers, helping solve any operational problems and ensuring they’re equipped and resourced to do their job effectively.
- Support the planning and participate in raising funds for the organisation, for example an annual fundraising event.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Operations Administrator who is a problem solver and has a can-do attitude.
To succeed in the role of Operations Administrator, your key skills will include:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent IT skills and ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Experience in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A good eye for detail
- The ability to work and contribute as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- The ability to manage self, including balancing conflicting priorities
