About the role:

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity to support local people who are fundraising for an incredible cause. As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll be working with individuals, schools, community groups, and challenge fundraisers across the East of England to raise vital funds for the hospitals.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships, supporting and inspiring fundraisers, and helping to deliver a calendar of community fundraising activities and events. You'll also have the chance to get creative with communications and storytelling and gain valuable experience as part of a supportive and ambitious team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals and groups in their fundraising efforts
• Attending and representing the organsation at community events (some evenings and weekends required)
• Planning and delivering engaging fundraising activities
• Producing communications for campaigns, social media, and supporter updates

Radley College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and forward-thinking Radleian Society Manager to lead and develop the College’s alumni relations programme. This is a key strategic role, focused on fostering strong, lasting relationships with Old Radleians (“OR”s), current and former parents, and former staff.

Reporting to the Development Director, the post holder will be responsible for delivering an ambitious and wide-ranging engagement programme that reflects the values and vision of Radley College. The successful applicant will

Lead a dynamic calendar of alumni and parent engagement events, including reunions, networking forums, and social gatherings

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

LSESU is looking for a proactive and driven Facility Coordinator to oversee the daily supervision and operation of our sports facilities. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the spaces, from health and safety compliance to customer service excellence. You’ll also manage internal and external bookings, including LSE Sports Clubs, and coordinate weekly sports events such as BUCS, Club and Society events and private hires from external companies.

Sitting within the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) department, the Sporting Events Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing over £3.5m income from individuals and groups fundraising through mass participation events including The London Marathon, International Marathons, The Great North Run, Threshold Events and more!

As one of two Sporting Event Managers, you will join a busy and successful team of 10 responsible for the delivery and optimisation of our events portfolio. We are looking for an exceptional individual, who will lead on the planning, project management and delivery of ARUK’s flagship third-party events, including London Landmarks, Own Place in Event Fundraising and challenge events.

This is a line management role, currently responsible for 4 direct reports and the strategic oversight of the events they manage. You will work closely with the other Sporting Event Manager to ensure consistency with supporter stewardship, manage budgets and support in financial planning, review team capacity and identify and manage priorities throughout the event calendar year, ensuring efficiency and a first-class supporter experience, with an overall goal of maximising income for dementia research.

You will be an integral part of the SLF Managers Team, helping drive our ambitious organisation growth and ultimately helping us find a cure. The role is managed by the Head of Sporting Events & Volunteering (HoSV).

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Line Management

· Line management of the high performing 2x Sporting Events Officers and 2x Sporting Events Executives; inspiring and driving their success to ensure they remain highly motivated in their roles, achieve their targets and play a key part in the performance of the wider Sporting Events Team, and Alzheimer’s Research UK.

· Monitor, review, and empower direct reports to ensure effective communication across the wider team and with key stakeholders e.g. volunteering, RFO’s and wider SLF.

· Support your direct line reports in their development, helping them to spot opportunities for growth.

 

Monitoring and Reporting

· Manage the Sporting team’s income and expenditure budget, including monthly reporting, and supporting HoSV with monthly reforecasts, and annual budget and operational plan setting.

· Review participation and income against event targets to track impact, ROI and cost income ratio and report back to HoSV regularly.

· Ensure the fundraising CRM (salesforce) is being used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting.

· Use data insights and trends to support the HoSV in budgeting, forecasting and event portfolio reviews.

· Continue to review and be willing to change Sporting Event Team processes and contribute to wider organisational process changes where necessary.

· Support the embedding of our CRM system: Salesforce, including writing processes and ensuring CRM best practice across the team.

 

Relationship Management

· Build and maintain excellent working relationships with our third-party event providers and identify new opportunities and ensure all avenues are being optimised for ARUK.

· Identify and steward alongside the Regional Fundraising Officers’ high-value supporters to ensure we are spotting opportunities beyond their current event.

· Work collaboratively within SLF, to ensure all fundraising opportunities are shared and communicated and resources are available.

· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to brief in marketing requirements, share trends, learnings, and results to optimise future activities.

· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments and work together as a management team to support on the strategic direction of ARUK, as well as deliver any tactical projects.

· Support and consult with any cross functional teams to deliver our third-party events portfolio.

 

Strategy & Operational Planning

· Work in consultation with the HoSV to develop the sporting events strategy and annual tactical plan for ARUK to continue to build income in this area.

· Work with HoSV to further develop our events strategy for 2026 onwards.

· Stay abreast of sector sporting events activity to ensure effective positioning and marketing of events.

Stewardship and Supporter experience:

· Plan and deliver an excellent communications journey for sporting event participants including exploring new technologies and how we can talk to our supporters in the way most effective and relevant to them- whether that be email, phone, face to face or SMS. Whilst also ensuring it aligns with wider stewardship goals with the charity and future cross-sell asks.

· Attend third-party events and oversee appropriate staff and volunteer representation to give the maximum brand presence and give the supporters the best possible event day experience e.g. Cambridge Half, London Marathon, London Landmarks, Great North Run and any other events where we need staff.

· Work with the wider SLF team to share best practise, ‘surprise and delight’ success and re-engagement activity to help drive long-term loyalty.

· Work with Regional Fundraising Officers, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships teams to pass over warm and relevant supporters at the best points in their individual stewardship journeys.

· Work alongside Data and Insights Teams to understand the potential lifetime value of our sporting events participants and ensure opportunities are developed for supporters to hold a long-term fundraising relationship with ARUK.

 

What we are looking for:

· Experience of delivering mass participation fundraising, in particular managing high-profile/ large third-party event partnerships

· Great knowledge and passion for building excellent supporter relationships and ensuring supporters feel valued and thanked appropriately.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to lead the high value function, including income from major donors, corporate partners, and trusts and grants. The P&P team also encompasses volunteering and relationships held with the family of member charities.  

There is currently an interim Head of P&P in place until August to ensure progress continues towards the income ambition, and to support the team.  

The P&P function is on a journey, much work has been done to embed effective processes and a consistent approach to pipelining. There has been much improvement so far, but there remains a lot of scope for the incoming Head to shape the team, define areas of focus and ways of working.  

The team have had significant success this year, especially in the corporate partnerships space, so there is energy and enthusiasm to harness. There are exciting opportunities for high value fundraising connected to the launch of new Centres of Excellence across the UK, and some key events in the calendar such as a major donor dinner in September.  

This role would suit an experienced fundraiser across major donor or corporate income streams. You will have led a team before, and have experience of designing and delivering fundraising strategies.

African Adventures Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013 to provide support to 29 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar.

These schools provide education, health and food security, and social support to young people whose access to these basic services would otherwise be very limited. African Adventures Foundation helps by funding food security programmes, the construction of important school facilities, and hygiene projects that will benefit children’s health and education. The role is centred around three core elements: charity management, programme delivery, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

1. Charity management (with support from the COO & Trustees)

• Line management of the Programme Officer in all respects including recruitment, conduct, capability, welfare, personal development.
• Indirect (matrix) management of the in-country Foundation Coordinators.
• Key member of the broader UK Management team.
• Support the COO and Chair of Trustees with the overall Governance framework of the charity including standards, processes and reporting.
• Primary point of contact for the board of Trustees day-to-day, supporting the Chair of the Trustees in the coordination and administration of Board activity.
• Lead on development, oversight and operation of charity standards, processes and systems.
• Work alongside the charities dedicated Finance Officer in ensuring good financial management of income and expenditure through planning, approvals, and processes.
• Attend a variety of external charitable, donor, and operational events or locations as required from time to time.
• Work closely with supporting departments like Finance, Marketing, and Travel Operations on all charity related matters.
• Handle day-to-day enquiries, questions, and issues related to the Foundation.

2. Programme Delivery (delivered by the Programme Officer)

• Ensure that a clear, documented process is in place for receiving, triaging, and managing requests related to volunteer projects and charity support.
• Lead the prioritisation process for articulated charitable requests, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and properly documented.
• Support strong project management throughout the planning and delivery of approved charitable projects.
• Ensure a robust MEAL [Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning] process is in place for measuring and reporting on the impact of the charity’s work with its beneficiaries, donors, and trustees.

3. Fundraising (with support from the COO & Trustees)

• Responsible for the developing and managing the Fundraising Opportunities Portfolio ensuring all stakeholders have clear visibility of funding gaps and opportunities for current and prospective donors.
• Responsible for leading on developing fundraising activities as informed by the Fundraising Strategy to drive income and cover operational expenditure.
• Maintain strong Donor relationships and develop grant applications adding to support a healthy funding pipeline to ensure we meet the charities fundraising targets.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure effective marketing and social media strategies in are in place and to maximise the opportunities they provide.

What We’re Looking For:

Due to the breadth of this role, we would only expect an incumbent to have relevant experience in 2 of the 3 core elements of the role as a minimum, but with a strong desire to develop and learn in the 3rd with dedicated support.

Essential:

• Excellent Written & Communication skillset. A true collaborator.
• Experience in the Charity sector in a Management/Leadership capacity.
• Experience in Project Management and/or Delivery.
• A passion for driving improvement and change, to the betterment of children in Africa.

Ideally two of the following:

• Experience in charity management, governance, and compliance.
• Experience of delivering impactful charity projects.
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and/or campaign management.

Desirable:

• Experience of operating in an International Charity/NGO sector.
