Overview of the Chief Outreach Officer
The Chief Outreach Officer will assume responsibility for all international communications, outreach and emerging countries and reports to the International Chief Executive Officer
This position will ensure that the organisation’s distinct Christian identity, operational excellence, resource efficiency, and effective programme delivery are maintained globally.
Main duties and responsibilities
i. Protect, maintain and enforce Barnabas Aid’s distinct Christian identity

Operational Leadership and Strategy
· Assist in the development and execution of the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and global objectives.
· Lead the development and execution of the global communications strategy to raise awareness, prayers and donations [outreach]
· Oversee the development of robust supporter acquisition and retention programmes that align with organisational needs [outreach]
· Ensure smooth collaboration and operational coordination between headquarters and country offices to achieve consistent performance and efficiency.
People and Leadership Development
· Foster a high-performance culture that aligns with the organisation’s Christian values, ensuring collaboration and commitment across teams.
· Lead, mentor, and develop the Outreach function, ensuring its effectiveness and capacity to deliver operational success.
Risk and Compliance Management
· Work with the International CEO and senior leadership team to assess and address emerging risks, especially in high-risk environments.
· Ensure operational compliance with industry standards, supporter requirements, and local regulations.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
· Ensure effective internal communication regarding organisational updates and progress, particularly concerning project functions.
· Work with the Deputy International Projects Officer and senior leadership team to maintain clear communication with external stakeholders regarding operational matters.
· Collaborate with the International Chief Executive Officer to ensure the alignment of external communications with the organisation’s mission and global objectives.
Person profile
· Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams across multiple international locations. Demonstrated ability to lead through change and effectively manage organisational transformation.
· Risk and Compliance: Experience managing risk, including safety, security, and legal compliance, in international and potentially high-risk environments.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and represent the organisation both internally and externally.
· Project Management: While not directly responsible for projects, experience in supporting project operations and working closely with project teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects within the broader operational framework.
· Cultural Competence: Ability to lead and work effectively with diverse teams from different cultural and geographic backgrounds.
· Technology Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital systems, technology, and data management for international operations.
Educational Requirements:
· A degree in International Development, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
· Advanced qualifications (Master’s level or higher) in international development, business management, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
Work Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in international operations, ideally within the NGO, humanitarian, or development sectors.
· Experience working in crisis, conflict, or resource-constrained environments with an understanding of the challenges of global operations.
· Demonstrated success in managing teams and ensuring organisational growth and stability in complex international settings.
· Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with donor and legal requirements.
· Previous experience in working with or managing senior leadership teams in a global, multi-office structure is highly desirable.

WaterAid is exclusively partnering with Robertson Bell in their search for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis, in this newly revamped role. WaterAid is the largest international not-for-profit organisation, focussed solely on making sustainable clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere.
This role will be a key strategic advisor and responsible for high-level planning conversations to WaterAid UKs largest income generating Directorate: Communications and Fundraising. As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of fundraising team. This is a high-profile role, enabling Water Aid UK’s senior leadership to deliver and support the delivery of WaterAid’s ambitious programmatic activity.

The key duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:
- Owning relationships with key senior stakeholders within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate.
- Regularly engaging on strategic long-term decision making and providing relevant financial data to key decision makers.
- Work with the directorate to build realistic and detailed financial plans.
- Own directorate specific timelines for delivering financial forecasts and budgets.
- Work with Head of Management Accounting to build a consolidated picture for WaterAid UKs performance for the Executive Director Team.
- Collaborate on the building and maintenance of automated reporting for directorate on PowerBI.
- Regularly engage with budget holders to ensure that spending and income is on track against plans.
- Ensure CRM data is complete and accurately reflected in the month end close position.
- Oversee the monthly recording of both unrestricted and restricted income streams.
The successful candidate will have:
- Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.
- Experience of strategic partnering senior stakeholders (ideally at Executive Director level) along with senior leadership teams.
- Ability to analyse large quantities of data with a view to identifying trends and key drivers.
- Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience of managing finances within a fundraising directorate (Desirable).
- Knowledge of international development issues and the sector (Desirable).

This post is offered as Full Time (37.5 hours per week) which can be completed over 5 days, or as condensed hours over 4 days per week.
We are looking for a Senior Trust and Grants Fundraiser to join the St Mungo’s Trusts and Grants fundraising team, playing a key role in helping raise vital funds for services that support people experiencing and recovering from homelessness to rebuild their lives.
In the role of Senior Trust and Grants Fundraiser you will work closely with a team of four other trust fundraisers. You will play a key role in helping to meet our income target of circa £1.5m in 2025-26 and producing high quality written proposals and reports that reflect the impact of philanthropic support on the people we work with. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, building and nurturing relationships with prospective charitable trusts and foundations, as well as cultivating relationships with an existing portfolio of funders, securing high-value 5-6 figure gifts from trusts.
- Crafting compelling, tailored funding applications that are aligned with trust interests and giving potential, as well as St Mungo’s mission.
- Reporting on donation impact through written updates and service visits, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Providing line management and support to a Trust Fundraising Officer.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This will include Tuesdays and one other day per week of your choosing. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.
About you
We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser with excellent communication skills, who can build relationships with funders and with colleagues from across the organisation.
- Your strong writing skills will enable you to craft compelling, effective funding proposals and reports that convey the incredible impact that philanthropic support has on the people St Mungo’s supports.
- You will have a proactive approach and demonstrate your organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to think and work strategically, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous line management experience is not necessary, but you will ideally have experience of informally supporting and motivating others and willingness to develop line management skills.

We are looking for a Community Support Administrator to enhance our offer to people diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, and their friends and families . You’ll help our successful fundraising and support teams to do more.
Reporting to our Community Fundraising and Events Manager
We are passionate about creating opportunities for our community to support us in ways that create joy in their own lives and help them feel empowered in the face of serious illness. Our fundraising activities are designed to help tackle the isolation and other difficulties that are faced by those living with a rare and serious condition. You’ll help us make sure that fundraising for The AAT is a life-affirming and joyful experience.
Our small team are fully remote across the country. You’ll be based on your own in our small office/post room in Birmingham with regular face-to-face meetings with your manager (who lives locally). You’ll keep in touch with the rest of the team via Microsoft Teams.
The first line of support
As a small charity representing an ultra rare condition, the people we support and the people who support us through fundraising are often one and the same.
You’ll sit within the fundraising team, but your role spans the organisation, and you’ll also deliver essential administration support for our Support Team.
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only charity who publish information about aplastic anaemia for patients and families. You will post booklets to patients and to hospitals, heading to the post office twice a week to fulfil orders. You’ll also support our volunteer moderators to administer the Patient Support Facebook Group.

In people with aplastic anaemia, the bone marrow fails to produce enough of all three types of blood cells – red, white and platelets.
Aplastic anaemia treatment is very similar to the treatment someone might have for leukaemia - but because it's so rare, families often don't have access to the same information and support.

Purpose of the job
The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to break the silence and create systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside national social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.
The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.
This is an exciting time to join the Green House VOICE Project, we have just secured national funding for the first time and are looking for a Senior VOICE Practitioner to lead development and expansion of the programme.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Lead on delivery of the Young People’s VOICE Groups (6 weekly), working with the VOICE Practitioner to support young people to develop group/individual projects and campaigns within each group cycle.
2. Lead on the development of the Parent/Carer VOICE group, co-producing with Parents/Carers and the Senior Leadership Team a new approach to the (currently) monthly programme.
3. Collaborate with the Family Support Team and Therapy Team to deliver regular drop-in spaces for Parents/Carers (“Turn-Up Tuesdays”) and Nature-Based Therapy drop-in spaces (“NBT Drop In”).
4. Lead on the delivery and expansion of CSA Practitioner network for wider professionals, creating opportunities to connect young people’s groups together nationally.
5. Work with the Head of Fundraising and Trustee Board to develop and deliver a quarterly co-production group of young people and parents who can support operational delivery/development of the Green House.
6. Lead on the development of a theory of change for the VOICE Project, working with the VOICE Practitioner, young people, parents/carers and SLT.
7. Work with the Research Manager and VOICE Practitioner to develop our approach to outcome monitoring and evaluation of the VOICE Project.
8. Lead on project management of the VOICE Project, including weekly team meetings, project plans, annual revision of associated documentation e.g., manuals, session plans. Working collaboratively with and taking responsibility for line management of the VOICE Practitioner.
9. Coordinate on VOICE young people led activism campaigns, working with the Communications Officer and Head of Fundraising and Communications towards the delivery of two campaigns per year.
10. Conduct Initial Meetings for young people and parent/carer’s looking to join the VOICE Project – supporting the wider TGH team with recruitment reminders/approaches e.g., attending Family Support/Therapy Team meetings (where appropriate).
11. Develop relationships with our local and national partners to enable effective changemaking for young people and parents/carers.
12. Assess risk and report safeguarding concerns in line with the Green House Policies, main up-to-date safeguarding training, and stay informed on relevant legislation about child sexual abuse and procedures.
13. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all sessions and family contacts, ensuring timely documentation using internal systems e.g., Oasis. 14. Support wider Green House service development, participate in supervision, clinical supervision and training, adhere to Green House policies, and contribute to team communication and operational improvements.

The Bird of Prey Project is a registered charity and multiple award-winning visitor centre and zoo working to conserve birds of prey, restore habitats and make wildlife education accessible. At this exciting time for the organisation, we are looking to recruit a new Charity Manager who can manage the visitor centre whilst working alongside the Board of Trustees to develop strategy and objectives for the charity. What is the role about?
The Charity Manager works directly with the Board of Trustees to manage the charity and visitor centre.
The visitor centre receives over 10,000 visitors per year who provide the majority of the charity’s income. The senior bird team provide a high standard of ethical raptor care to over 20 species, using restraint free management and free-flight techniques, and also deliver experiences and displays to the public. The Charity manager works to ensure that the site is safe and compliant with law & best practice, the senior bird team are provided with adequate resources and that the visitor centre is meeting goals for income generation.
The charity’s mission is to Conserve birds of prey, restore habitats and make wildlife education accessible. The Charity Manager over-sees the staff team delivering the charity activities, ensuring work is recorded and reported correctly.
You would also be responsible for line managing both Deputy Centre Managers. You should be confident in making decisions and able to balance opportunity and risk. An ability to operate within and develop governance, finance and risk frameworks is also a key part of the role, and whilst a background with working with birds of prey or in wildlife conservation is not necessary, you should be passionate about The Bird of Prey Project’s mission.
Key responsibilities
- Line manage and lead personal development of the Deputy Centre Managers.
- Overseeing income generation through visitor experience, including social media and marketing
- Develop new streams of income generation – including fundraising
- Act as company secretary and ensure our compliance with our licensing requirements, Charity Commission guidance, financial regulations, the law, and other relevant regulations/guidance/best practice.
- Maintaining, updating and creating policies, procedures and risk assessments as required
- Reporting charity impact and activities
- Work with the charity finance specialist trustee to:
- accurately record finances
- ensure key payments are made and collected on time
- deliver payroll for employees
- reconcile cash payments
- review monthly forecast vs actuals reports
- forecast and budget for the charity.
- Manage any relationships with any external bodies.
- Lead the strategic development of the organisation alongside the Board of Trustees.
- Attend, contribute to, and act as Secretary for board meetings

About You
You will be a positive and solution focused fundraiser, ready to take initiative and embrace challenging targets. Ideally you will have experience in growing income from trust and foundations from both longstanding and new potential partners, or be able to demonstrate highly relevant transferable experience. You will be capable of compiling strong fundraising proposals; produce high quality reports; partner with financial colleagues in preparing complex budgets and financial reports. Lead Generation

Be responsible for account management of caseload of mid-range Trusts & Foundations.

Work collaboratively with the Engagement Manager, Engagement Support Officer and volunteers in the identification, approach and management of UK Trusts and Foundations.

Regularly research and review opportunities for building potential relationships with prospective Trusts and Foundations and progressing relationships and applications with them through compelling communications.

Communications and Management

Effectively work with internal contacts throughout the global Medair organisation in the preparation of approved proposals, reports and supporting financial and impact information

Manage Medair’s engagement plan, initiating and delivering creative touchpoints throughout the year for all of Medair’s trust and foundation partners, as well as building relationships with trustees and representatives through video, online meetings, events and face-2-face opportunities
Planning, monitoring and pipeline management

Maintain a good record of the application pipeline and CRM (salesforce), monitoring application output, income targets, fund allocations and reporting deadlines.

Ensuring all grants from trusts and foundations are correctly allocated to Medair programmes, with the appropriate grant card on Medair’s project management platform and maintaining good contact with country programmes and finance partners throughout the lifecycle of Medair UK co-funded projects.
Internal Liaison

Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. About the role
We're looking for a dynamic, relationship-focused, and highly organised individual to oversee our teaching programmes, school partnerships, and tutor network.
This role is crucial to ensuring our programmes are high-quality, well-managed, and meeting the needs of schools. You will be the first point of contact for schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and SENCOs, and ensuring that we offer the right support at the right time.
You will manage our team of tutors, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to deliver our programmes to the highest standard. Safeguarding (Designated Safeguarding Lead - DSL)

- Train tutors in best safeguarding practices and ensure incidents are properly reported and recorded.

Impact measurement & fundraising support

Person specification
Essential:
- Strong experience in account management, partnerships, or relationship management (preferably in education or the charity sector).
- Experience working in education or service delivery (e.g. as a teacher, tutor, or programme manager).
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to support tutors with teaching-related queries.
- Excellent people skills, able to build relationships with schools, tutors, and funders.

As Mass Participation Events Officer (Challenge Events Officer), you will play a key role in engaging supporters to take part in exciting fundraising Challenge Events, from the London Marathon to cycle events and adrenaline fuelled challenges like a sky-dive or abseil, raising vital funds for disabled children and young people. Alongside supporting third-party events, you will leverage your skills in marketing, social media, and event planning to maximise participation and meet ambitious fundraising targets.
Please note: this role is managing and supporting our Challenge Events program (an industry standard term for all walking/running/cycling/adrenaline challenges) and supporting individual supporters who would like to take part in these events. There will be some opportunity to organise our own Challenge Events however, the management of Challengers flagship fundraising events sits within a different role.
