Main duties and responsibilities:
· Directly assist the Chief Executive and the Board on all strategic and tactical financial matters

· Accountability for the SIRO, SORP and Charity Commission Guidance and corporate governance with specific reference to financial company secretary functions
· Accountability for the collection and processing of financial data to ensure decisions and strategy are informed by accurate integrated information and analysis
· Ensure accrual accounting is central to the Trust’s finance systems to provide an accurate financial picture
· Oversee the financial management and accounting systems and be accountable for all finance and finance-related administration systems

Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities & Tasks
Departmental & Role Specifics
· Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk, cyber security breach and fraud
· Support the Board of Trustees in the discharge of their responsibilities for reserves
· Accountability for the three year rolling financial plan of the Charity
· Manage the cash flow of the Charity, ensuring the Charity meets its liabilities as they fall due and implement the Trust’s Savings and Investment Policy and Financial Free Reserves policy.
· Co-ordinate the Charity’s insurance requirements, liaising with insurance brokers to ensure adequate insurance cover is maintained and ensure claims are dealt with
· Accountability for performance to contract and contract review with our external ICT providers
· Overall accountability for the hard and soft facilities annual plan and health and safety compliance supported by the Head of Operations
· Support the implementation of EPOS and accurate and timely financial information on trading
· Undertake benchmarking exercises from time to time to assess value for money.
· Disaster prevention planning, review and implement the Charity Business Continuity Plan
· Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with accuracy and consistency
· Skilled in evaluating performance to contract, constructing tender processes and executing them effectively
· Strategic and operational risk management
· Prepare and monitor financial reports with explanation of variances, including management accounts and cash flow forecasts
· Develop our commercial portfolio, including competitor analysis for market entry
· Train and supervise staff to support assurance of adherence to the charity finance policy and procedure
· Complete the statutory year-end accounts; manage the audit for the Charity and its trading subsidiary
· Reconcile and submit the Charity’s Annual Partial Exemption Special Method for VAT recovery
· Report to the Trust’s Leadership Team and Board on financial matters including explanation of variances, and the financial position of the Trust and its subsidiary and on any issues requiring action.
· Ensure rapid counting, receipt and banking of donations to minimise the differences in reporting between two different systems (access dimensions and donorflex) ensuring the Joint Directors of Fundraising and Income Generation Committee have timely and accurate information
· Co-ordinate the Board’s Finance & Resources committee; agenda, meeting dates, and review of relevant financial policies and the annual audit of accounts
· Lead budget and forecasting processes, develop, maintain and update effective procedures and standards on budget, financial control and productivity.
· Advise and assist Department Heads and budget holders
· Bank reconciliation, Quarterly VAT Submission (Making Tax Digital),
· Month-End and Year-End Process
· Model the impact of planned pay awards with accountability for annual adjustments

Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Approach
· Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
· 10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting/finance for medium sized organisations
· Excellent current knowledge of PAYE and VAT
· Management responsibility for a finance team
· Oversight of IT functions
· Completion of accounts and audit information packs and resolution of issues as specified by the Auditors
· Presenting and interpreting financial information to a range of stakeholders
· Effective financial management and control through delegated budget holders
· Leadership of productivity &/or efficiency programmes

What does The Animal Law Foundation do?
The Animal Law Foundation was registered with the Charity Commission in August 2022. It is primarily a legal research charity that looks into neglected areas of animal law and where appropriate will instruct lawyers to bring legal challenges to secure any systems in place to protect animals function as they should.
Groups like this exist in the environmental and the human rights space in the UK and in the animal protection space in other countries. There is a desperate need for such work to exist for animals in the UK.
The UK still has some of the best animal welfare laws in the world, yet the opportunity for vast change contained within these laws is rarely explored. Through exploring these opportunities the whole system for animals can be improved and set global examples.
It is of vital importance that laws that exist to protect animals are understood and applied. The Animal Law Foundation will work alongside stakeholders to ensure that this happens.

The organisation is part of a global charity that uses hospital ships to deliver free healthcare to people in some of the poorest countries in the world. Their volunteers work with host nations to improve healthcare systems by training local medical staff and renovating facilities to leave a lasting legacy. Since 1978, They have visited 55 countries, providing services worth more than £1.2 billion.
The UK currently raises £9 million a year to support the charity's operations, benefiting from a diverse base of committed funders and partners. As well as providing financial resources for surgeries, healthcare, education and local partnerships, the UK identifies over 400 professional volunteers with medical, maritime and many other skills to crew the world’s largest charitable hospital ships.
This role is offered on a permanent full-time contract basis paying a salary between £68,000 to £75,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their Stevenage office.
The Director of Philanthropy Partnerships will be a member of the executive leadership team, and they will lead the ambitious Philanthropy team to fundraise from corporate partners, Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations. They will operationalise the three-year strategy, with realistic stretch targets and develop a prospect pipeline, mapping stakeholder and donor relationships. They will develop a personal caseload of donors capable of giving +£100K, over the next three years, building relationships with them and co-ordinating their solicitation and stewardship. The post holder will work closely with the Executive Director to identify key influencers and supporters, to build a strong group of high-calibre ambassadors.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in securing six & seven-figure gifts and providing excellent relationship management. St Albans Cathedral is a centre of musical excellence with some of the finest choirs in the country, a magnificent Harrison & Harrison organ and a busy programme of musical events and concerts.
Unlike many cathedrals, St Albans had no historical endowment to support its music. The Music Trust was established in 1995 to ensure a thriving and financially stable musical life at the Cathedral. Harris Hill is proud to be working with a leading national charity dedicated to advancing research into neurological conditions. We're supporting them in the search for a talented Individual Giving and Legacy Marketing Manager to join their passionate team.
In this vital role, you will lead the development and delivery of the charity's cash giving programme, including two key postal campaigns and segmented e-newsletters designed to enhance supporter engagement and retention. You will focus on building meaningful, long-term relationships with donors-boosting lifetime value through reactivation, cross-sell opportunities, and uplift strategies. You will also play a central role in a major new acquisition programme, working alongside the Director of Fundraising to recruit around 4,000 new regular givers through private site face-to-face fundraising. Additionally, you'll take the lead on the marketing and stewardship of the in-memory giving programme, ensuring a sensitive and impactful supporter journey.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience of working in individual giving in a charity including some experience of acquisition campaigns.
- Some experience of having worked on legacy marketing or collaborated with legacy marketing colleagues
- Familiarity with developing stewardship approaches and supporter journeys that maximise supporter loyalty
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and excellent written skills including strong copy writing

This role will manage the delivery of our legacy marketing strategy across our priority markets reporting into the Global Legacy Director, and working closely with the Legacy Officers, the Direct Marketing and Digital Teams. Reporting and analyzing results to inform future learnings and strategies to drive awareness and consideration of legacy giving to IFAW.
Role and Responsibilities
The Legacy Marketing Specialist will have a global role, managing the marketing in each of our priority countries, Canada, US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and Australia.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all legacy campaigns across stewardship and acquisition including multi channel activity including digital, print, and events. Ensuring high-quality delivery and maximum impact.
- Work closely with and collaborate with internal teams including Direct Marketing, Design, Production and Digital as well as external agencies to develop compelling content and messaging aligned with the organisation’s brand and communication strategies.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, analysing results and recommending new channels or strategies to grow legacy donor acquisition and retention.
- Manage the expenditure and across all legacy marketing activity and working closely with the Production team ensure cost-effective campaign delivery and adherence to financial processes.
- Deputise for the Global Legacy Director as needed and contribute to cross-team initiatives to support integrated fundraising goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proven experience in UK charity of legacy marketing or fundraising across acquisition and stewardship.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation of multi-channel marketing activities across traditional and digital platforms.
- Demonstrable ability to collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, providing clear briefs and constructive feedback to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling content and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, measure campaign performance, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

About the role
Individual giving is a fantastic, high performing team, generating over £20 million fundraised income per year. Your role will be pivotal in helping to support the delivery of our fundraising strategy, budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns to generate income both now and for the future.
If successful, you will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.
With a large range of activity coming up, individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the future, this is an exciting time to join and contribute to a passionate, experienced and effective team.
About you
You’ll either already have some experience of working in a marketing/fundraising environment, or demonstrate a strong desire and attitude to learn quickly about running direct marketing campaigns, working closely with suppliers, to generate income and develop lasting engagement with tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and ensuring they are delivered to budget. You’ll have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.
Working across a range of channels that can include email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement, testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that the Breast Cancer Now brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

This new role will focus on driving business development and fundraising opportunities, and ensuring robust contract administration across METRO's HIV services. Reporting to the Head of HIV or Director of Services, the Senior Manager (HIV Services): Business Development and Team Coordination plays a vital role in strengthening the sustainability and effectiveness of METRO's HIV services.
The post holder will support the development of funding proposals and bids, build and maintain relationships with funders, commissioners, and partners, and contribute to fundraising activity to secure the future of HIV services. Alongside this, the post holder will provide hands-on support to the team with contract management, producing high-quality data-led reports, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
This role acts as a bridge between delivery teams and METRO's leadership, being part of its Senior Management Team (SMT), and enabling services to thrive by ensuring contracts are well-managed, reports are accurate and timely, and opportunities for growth and sustainability are actively pursued.
Programme
METRO runs various HIV prevention and support services across London and the Southeast. These services include pan London and local HIV prevention services, HIV support services including advice and advocacy and family support, HIV peer mentoring and counselling services. Many of these services are delivered in partnership with agencies such as the GMIPartnership consisting of Spectra, Positive East, and our collaborations with THT, Positively UK and Africa Advocacy Foundation. Our services are also embedded in other sexual health partnerships, such as the SASH programme, which consists of our partnerships with Turning Point, London Friend and Naz. We also work with several NHS Trusts as part of our work with the London HIV Fast Track Cities programme and wider programmes.
