Special events play a vital role in engaging our supporters, inspiring their support, and raising vital income for the charity. Throughout 2026 we have a range of events planned, including private dinners, receptions and large fundraisers in London and Edinburgh.

Special Events is an area of growth for the charity, and this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our major donor team and senior volunteers and supporters to develop and deliver an engaging fundraising events programme.  

Experience in Special Events is essential, ideally in a charity environment. The successful candidate will have excellent event management skills, experience of working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging events to inspire donor support.

Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to double our income by 2030.

The post holder will lead the planning and delivery of a programme of high-quality events. You will work with colleagues from across the charity to develop programmes that will engage our audiences and communicate the impact we deliver as a charity. Job Summary 

The Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, a newly established role within the Income Department, will be responsible for delivering our expanding portfolio of Corporate Partnerships while actively seeking out and securing new partnership opportunities.
MHI is at a pivotal point in its development, having experienced significant growth since launching in 2017. Over the past 18 months, a primary focus has been on cultivating strategic partnerships that not only support fundraising efforts but also align with broader organisational goals such as volunteering, volunteer recruitment, stewardship, and enhancing brand recognition.
Having secured three large longer term partnerships, we are now seeking a creative, passionate and knowledgeable Corporate Partnership specialist to lead on launching, relationship management, stewardship and growth and ensure all opportunities are maximised.
Working closely with the Director of Income, Head of Communications and Marketing and Senior Trust and Foundation Manager. You will work across income streams (major donors, trusts and foundations and commissioned partners) to spot opportunities for enhancing existing or developing new long-term, strategic corporate partnerships.  You will also undertake regular horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify opportunities to develop new and innovative partnerships. This will include optimising the expertise and contacts of the Board, volunteer-base and other senior stakeholders.  
We believe there is much more we can do, to work across income streams to develop multi-dimensional and long-term partnerships and the Senior Partnerships Manager will play a key role in delivering this. 
There will also be the opportunity to recruit a corporate partnership manager to manage and work alongside, to really ensure high quality stewardship, whilst working on new business potential and brand alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture current high value corporate partnerships with a focus on maximising all opportunities, delivering first class stewardships and partnership retention. 
• Ensure cultivation events, stewardship activities and partner communications are effective and appropriate for both prospective and current supporter audiences.
• Maintain excellent stakeholder relationships and a robust stakeholder management framework.
• Work closely with public fundraising to ensure a suitable suite of products and events are in place to effectively deliver partnerships with a high level of employee fundraising.

• Work with MHI legal counsel and Director of IT and Security  to ensure that all fundraising activity complies with current charity and data protection legislation (UK GDPR) and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.
• Maximise the benefits from the Salesforce CRM to achieve ‘best in class’ stewardship, across partner and supporter segments, ensuring seamless supporter journeys, and that every supporter of MHI receives timely and appropriate levels of information.
• Provide leadership and line management of the Partnerships Manager, overseeing their portfolio and supporting in their development

Person Specification

Essential

• 7+ years fundraising or relationship management experience
• Experience of managing six-figure, multifaceted partnerships in a charity setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with varying audiences
• Experience in securing new business and/or forming partnerships with companies/brands, including bid-writing and applications
• Experience of managing, influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders, including encouraging participation and involvement
• Managing, forecasting and monitoring budgets to deliver against income and expenditure targets.

Our client, a well-known anti-poverty charity is looking to recruit a Director of Policy & Engagement on a maternity contract of up to 12 months. This great charity provides front-line advice, advocacy and campaigning and policy work on behalf of people in London beneath pension age, who are experiencing issues around benefit payments, disability and housing or who are at risk of homelessness. The services they provide have become even more essential during the current cost of living crisis.

The role:
As Director of Policy & Engagement, you will lead the organisation’s policy, public affairs, and campaigns function, shaping and delivering local and national influencing to drive change on social security and housing issues. You will ensure the voices of people with lived experience are central to all of the organisation’s work, embedding meaningful participation across the organisation, in governance, services, policy and campaigns.

The person:
The successful candidate will be a strategic, politically astute leader with experience of leading policy, public affairs and campaigns at a senior level. They will have experience of integrating research campaigns, participation, external communications and fundraising to deliver impact locally and nationally. They will have excellent media stakeholder and political engagement skills, with experience of acting as a spokesperson for an organisation. This person will value and embed lived experience in all aspects of their work and will have a strong understanding of social security and housing policy. 

This person will also have substantial experience of leading on research for social policy influencing purposes in addition to having developed and shaped policy  for an organisation in a charity which works towards combatting poverty and other social justice issues. Having managed political and media engagement and external influencing activities in the past, this person will be an effective relationship manager both internally and externally, in addition to having provided knowledge based leadership to small teams in the charity sector. In addition to being a highly effective project manager, this person will be a very strong communicator both verbally and in writing, and will be fully committed to the aims and objectives of this anti-poverty charity.

• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail, with excellent customer care

Turner’s House is a small independent museum in Twickenham housed in a Grade II* listed building, open to the public since 2017. This is a key role in helping secure its long-term sustainability. The Partnerships Director will be responsible for leading all income-generating and related partnership activity (fundraising, commercial hires, marketing/PR, retail, commercial events, donor cultivation etc.), as well as being hands-on in ensuring the House is open and running smoothly, including keyholder responsibilities (opening/closing, occasional weekend or evening work). This is an exciting opportunity to shape income streams, build capacity, and work on site in a close-knit team.

• Lead and deliver a portfolio income strategy: trusts & foundations grants, individuals (Circles and Patrons), corporates/sponsorship, commercial events, commercial hires.
• Write, prepare, submit and manage grant applications and funding bids; manage relationships with funders (reporting, stewardship).
• Identify new revenue streams (e.g. venue hire for private/events, retail opportunities, location hires etc).
• Set and monitor income targets in conjunction with the Board of Trustees; evaluate performance and report regularly.
•  Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations, heritage bodies, tourism, community groups and set a strategy for our Patrons and benefactors.
• Lead marketing and promotional activity to raise awareness, increase visitor numbers and attendance at events, promote venue hires, attract hires and donors.
• Oversee creation of promotional materials (print, digital), social media content, website updates.
• Use PR opportunities to profile Turner’s House in local/national media.
• Act as keyholder: opening & closing the building, ensuring security & visitor readiness once or twice a week as needed.
• Work on-site regularly to support visitor experience during public opening hours (Wed-Sun, plus special / evening events).
• Help ensure events and hires run smoothly, coordinating with House Director and volunteers.

About the role ofHead of Principal Donors

As Head of Principal Donors, you will lead and manage the Foundation’s philanthropy programme, working closely with our senior leadership team and our founder to personally cultivate and steward the Foundation’s principal donors. This includes overseeing our recently formed Accelerate Circle – a select group of visionary philanthropists who help drive the Foundation’s fundraising through their networks.

In this role you will:

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s philanthropy strategy, playing an active
  leadership role in the successful delivery of income growth from UHNWI and
  HNWIs
• Develop the Accelerate Circle of patrons and deliver a solicitation strategy to
  expand membership and grow our community of donors and supporters
• Provide exceptional stewardship to existing donors and cultivate new donors
• Work closely with our founder and their office to design, plan and deliver highROI engagement such as income-generating dinners or paid speeches
• With the Director Fundraising and Communications, develop annual plans and
  budgets, along with longer term forecasts for income from individuals
• Work proactively with our Communications and Programmes teams to identify
  and create funded or high-return opportunities to gain visibility in key markets
• Support staff to deliver and, where appropriate, lead on fundraising and
  cultivation events and donor trips
• In consultation with the Director, lead on financial reporting for philanthropy
  income, advising on risks and opportunities, producing regular reports of
  income against plans and forecasts, and monitoring day to day income tracking

Our ideal candidate is: 

• Experienced in cultivating and stewarding high-net-worth individual donors – with a proven track record of securing six or seven figure donations
• Capable of developing and delivering a successful philanthropy strategy
• Comfortable and experienced working with high profile individuals and senior volunteers including managing development boards, giving circles or other forms of peer-to-peer fundraising approaches
• Excellent at managing relationships and able to successfully influence people at all levels with clear and persuasive communication

Head of Programmes is a key role with significant scope to grow as the charity evolves. You’ll lead on the day-to-day delivery of our programmes, including our largest single programme, Maths Circles: a small-group-based maths enrichment programme engaging talented young mathematicians nationwide. You will coordinate a large community of volunteers as well as our in-house team of part-time and freelance staff to deliver an excellent experience for students, parents, tutors and partners.

You will need to be genuinely enthusiastic about using our CRM and Google Sheets to track progress and excited about martialling the charity’s data to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners and trustees. You will take ownership of programme reporting and KPIs, using insights to identify and implement delivery improvements and demonstrate impact.

You will communicate regularly with our diverse community – including speaking directly to young people and parents to resolve issues, recruiting and training education professionals and meeting with partners to organise and manage projects. Beyond programme delivery, you’ll play a crucial part in fundraising, communications, recruitment and planning and will occasionally deputise for the Foundation Director in representing the charity externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of programme operations
• Drive impact by setting, monitoring and reporting on KPIs (e.g. attendance, retention, satisfaction) whilst sharing insights with partners and funders
• Coordinate and support a team of part-time staff, freelancers and delivery contractors
• Lead communications with parents, students, tutors and external partners
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (training provided)
• Support fundraising, charity development and strategic planning
• Support recruitment and onboarding of staff, volunteers and collaborators
• Contribute to newsletters, social media, and other communications content

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Work with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver the charity’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Board, ensuring effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Position the charity as a recognised leader in tackling inequality and poverty in the borough, particularly the North Kensington area.
• Maintain financial oversight taking a strategic approach to managing Dalgarno Trust’s finances in a sustainable way – ensuring adequate reserves are maintained.
• Ensure effective short, medium, and long-term financial planning is in place throughout the different levels of the organisation. Provide effective scrutiny by working with Dalgarno Trust’s accountants and finance personnel.

Income Generation & Fundraising

• Lead a sustainable income generation strategy, including accessing trust and foundation fundraising, corporate sponsorships, statutory grants, and social enterprise opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
• Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.

Partnerships & Place-Leadership

• Develop and maintain partnerships with voluntary, public, and private sector organisations to aid joint delivery of services.
• Represent the Dalgarno Trust in local strategic forums, influencing public policy and service design to reflect community needs.
• Strengthen the charity’s role as an anchor organisation and hub for community activity and leadership.
