About the Role:

As Fundraising Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and supporter care support to the fundraising team, ensuring accurate records, smooth processes and timely responses. You will help coordinate event logistics, maintain up-to-date fundraising data, and play a key role in delivering a professional and positive journey for all supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day supporter enquiries via phone, email and post, ensuring prompt, courteous and accurate responses.
  • Process donations, direct debits and gift acknowledgements, following agreed procedures and timelines.
  • Maintain and update fundraising databases and CRM records, including contact details, communication preferences and activity logs.
  • Support the planning and administration of fundraising events, including invitations, registrations and attendee communications.
  • Prepare and distribute standard supporter communications, thank-you letters and receipts.
  • Assist with data entry and basic reporting to support fundraising campaigns and appeals.
  • Coordinate the collation and organisation of event materials, packs and resources.
  • Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team, including filing, scanning and document management.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in supporter care, customer service or a similar people-facing administrative role.
  • Proven background in fundraising administration or charity administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Confident using databases or CRM systems to update and retrieve supporter information.
  • Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, managing tasks independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience supporting fundraising events or community campaigns.
  • Familiarity with charity fundraising regulations and best practice.
  • Previous use of a fundraising-specific CRM or donor management system.
  • Experience producing basic reports or lists from databases.
  • Background in a charity, non-profit or membership organisation.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Further education in administration, business, communications or related field preferred.
  • Any training or certification in fundraising, supporter care or customer service advantageous.

If you are a detail-focused administrator with a passion for supporter care and fundraising, this temporary role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute—apply now to be considered.
