Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, the PTN is recruiting a Partnerships Manager who will provide management and oversight of key partnerships essential to the delivery of the Network’s Strategic Plan, with a specific focus on the development and delivery of Regional Hubs.

You will have experience of establishing and delivering partnerships; dedicated to social justice; a commitment to collaborative working; and proven management experience.

Key Tasks

• To form part of the Core Leadership Team, providing overall strategic leadership across the Network 
• To manage the Partnership team, setting clear goals and objectives linked to the Strategic Plan 
• To lead on the development and support of Regional Hubs, including support with grant funding and income generation
• To act as the primary point of contact with Regional Hubs, for initial enquiries and ongoing relationships, including with staff and trustees
• To provide oversight of the Network’s Parliamentary work in Westminster and across the devolved administrations
• To oversee the Network’s Learning & Evaluation framework, offering insight and advice as appropriate, ensuring that agreed activities are delivered on time and in budget 
• To be the primary point of contact for partners working alongside the Network to deliver change in line with its Strategic Plan
• To recruit external partners to participate in the Mutual Mentoring programme
• To liaise closely with members of the Amplify Team in the development of national partnerships
• To develop and support work with creative partners to highlight the resilience of those struggling to overcome poverty
• To deputise for the Director as and when required
• To undertake other activities as needed dependent on jobholder’s knowledge, skills and experience

This role involves working from home with some travel.

Living Paintings is the national charity on a mission to ensure every blind child in the UK has equal access to the visual world of pictures, books and learning. From adapting bestselling picture books into accessible, tactile-audio formats for blind children to developing resources designed to inspire, educate and entertain – our free postal library gives thousands of blind children and young people the world at their fingertips.

We are looking for a strategic, organised and creative Communications and Marketing Lead to join us at an exciting time for the charity. In the last two years, we have doubled the number of beneficiaries using our service thanks to innovative campaigning and strong storytelling. We are working to an ambitious 10 year strategy that will further raise awareness of Living Paintings and our work, increase income and maximise our impact.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

In this role you will lead on maintaining, developing, and delivering all aspects of our charity’s communications strategy and its associated activities, working closely with the Communications Assistant as well as the CEO, Fundraising Lead, Library Manager and Publishing Manager. Primarily an outward facing role, the postholder will ensure that the charity has the broadest possible positive exposure to stakeholders – both current and future – and continue to build Living Paintings into a credible, recognisable and positive brand.

Hours: 28-35 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £48,500 FTE

Place of work: Hybrid between home and office in Kingsclere, Newbury (at least 2 days per week in the office preferred).

Qualifications:  Educated to degree level of equivalent professional experience.  We would prefer that the successful candidate also have a Fundraising or Marketing qualification.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the organisations overarching Communications and Marketing Strategy to enable Living Paintings to reach its ambitions and targets.
• Lead on the development and management of all planned proactive and reactive PR and media activities.
• Lead on all aspects of brand development, management and communications to create a consistent, coherent, credible and recognisable brand.
• Develop, implement and manage processes to ensure campaigns from all departments are integrated, run effectively, efficiently and are impactful.
• Lead on the development of all the charity’s on and offline content.
• Lead on the charity’s social media presence and brand, growing following, engagement and conversions.
• Manage, develop and optimise the charity’s website, email communications and digital offering – championing innovation, implementing effective, conversion-focussed user-journeys.
• Lead on all on and offline marketing activities – including but not limited to SEO, digital/social advertising, print.
• Manage budgets for communications and campaigning activities.
• Maintain positive contact with stakeholders – beneficiaries, families, friends, Trustees.
• Continually develop and monitor KPIs, taking an agile approach to activities to ensure these can be met effectively.
• Regular reporting and presenting on all aspects of communications and marketing.
• Lead on fostering positive relationships with our VIP and Celebrity supporters.
• Work closely with the Library Team to proactively source quality stories from beneficiary groups to feed in to our marketing, communications, PR and fundraising activities.
• Act as a representative and ambassador for Living Paintings at media appearances and events.
• Manage the procurement of and the relationships with freelancers and suppliers employed to support Living Paintings in their campaigns, communications and marketing activities.
• Continually seek out new opportunities to promote the work of Living Paintings.
• Support other members of the Living Paintings team in their personal development and understanding of communications processes.

About Us

Safer Waves was set up in 2019 to provide support to merchant seafarers who have experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment or gender discrimination on board.

Safer Waves provides an anonymous email support service, run by volunteers who are trained in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and who understand the specific challenges experienced when these events happen onboard a vessel.

We work with shipping companies, industry leaders, law enforcement and maritime training providers to raise awareness of sexual violence within the maritime industry, and to improve the support that is available to seafarers who experience it.

Job Purpose

For the first 5 years, Safer Waves has been a volunteer-led organisation. We are now in the exciting position of being able to recruit a CEO, and we are looking for an individual who has the passion to see this new organisation thrive in the maritime welfare sector.

As the head of a small and rapidly developing organisation, the CEO role will be extremely varied, with the opportunity to shape the organisational structure as needed. The CEO will work closely with the trustee board and Operations Manager to deliver the strategy, improve sustainability and financial resilience, manage risk and deliver high-quality services to our beneficiaries.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the heart of a truly exciting heritage restoration project to restore,  renew and open up to new audiences, a nationally-important building in a thriving but economically and socially challenged central London neighbourhood.

In November 2024, St Peter’s Walworth submitted a First-Round application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for Development Phase funding for the “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” project. The request was for a First Round Pass of £3.1m and a Development Grant of £438,000.  A decision was received by NLHF on 13th March 2025 and pending Permission to Start, the Development Phase is set to run for 18 months, at which point a Delivery Round application will be submitted to activate a Delivery Phase.  Staff, a Design Team, a QS and specialist consultants will need to be competitively appointed to complete a list of required documents/studies for the Delivery application. Design development needs to be completed to RIBA Stage 3, planning, Faculty and consents need to be in place and all partnership funding raised or pledged.

Capital works are proposed to the exterior of the Church, respecting its heritage integrity, making it more sustainable and putting it in good order throughout. Similarly inside, where improvements will make the Church more welcoming, improving infrastructure and circulation and accommodating planned activities. Works will take place over the three floors: Crypt Basement, the Ground Floor and the Gallery/First Floor.

A full time Heritage Manager will need to be appointed at the beginning of the 18-month Development Phase. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the Project reporting to Claire Maugham (Chair of the Steering Group Committee) involved in strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.  In order to achieve the goals of St Peter’s Walworth,  they will oversee design development to RIBA Stage 3 of “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” and oversee the preparation of key NLHF checklist documents, supporting on the roll out of a successful fundraising campaign - with a target to raise just over £1m working with a Fundraising Appeal Board, and a F/T Trusts and Foundations Manager.

The Heritage Manager will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of the planning and delivery of major projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). We are also looking for a candidate that will successfully integrate partnerships that are being forged in the local area. They should have a strong background in project management and possess the ability to move adeptly between big picture thinking and day-to-day operations, where it will be necessary, for example, to process their own admin.

The Heritage Manager will have some experience of fundraising, networking and financial management and be comfortable working in a start-up environment, being able to demonstrate experience of extensive community engagement, as well as an understanding of and empathy with the ambitions and vision of the St Peter’s Walworth PCC (Parochial Church Council) and the needs of a Grade 1 listed building. 

They will bring an inclusive approach to their work, able to centre and involve the church and local community in the project while integrating the experience of a wide range of volunteer professionals

Their task will be ensure that the project is delivered within time and to budget in accordance with an agreed programme, budget and checklist of deliverables, as well as working closely with all project stakeholders and partners.

We are looking for an exceptional Grants Commissioning Manager (Scotland), with a focus on Faslane. This is a senior management role working as part of the Grants team within the RNRMC at a time when the Charity’s strategy has a real focus on beneficiary need and impact, managing RNRMC commissioned grants in Scotland, ensuring that the funds are awarded in accordance with the Charities Values and Outcomes Framework.    

The role will work strategically with The Director of Relationships and Funding to support and deliver the charities funding plans for Scotland and support the Head of Commissioned Grants with all elements of the commissioning cycle including understanding need, designing projects, performance management of delivery and reporting of impact.  Working with internal and external stakeholders, the role will involve the oversight and good governance of grants programmes to ensure quality, evidenced outputs, and value for money of projects.      

In addition, you will lead and manage the Grants Administrator (Scotland, taking responsibility for actively and proactively supporting them to achieve in their post.

PINF is the first charity in the UK that exists to support high-quality journalism. We exist at the cutting edge of charity law and need an experienced charity professional to make sure we do things properly. 

As Head of Operations & Governance, you will be responsible for overseeing the back-office operations of the charity. You will be a key point of contact for the team and support the Executive Director to ensure smooth, efficient and compliant operations.

You will be a senior member of the team, responsible for ensuring that PINF operates within its legal and regulatory framework, including in relation to charity, corporate, tax, employment and data protection regulations. The role involves liaising with the Chair, Board of Trustees, Executive Director, legal advisors and regulators to support best practice in financial management, governance, risk management and compliance.  

Duties and responsibilities 

• Financial Management 

• Ensure consistent delivery and quality of finance operations, including transactions processing, which will involve managing a bookkeeping service.

• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, management accounts and project budgets.

• Lead on the financial aspects of fundraising, contract management, and funder reporting. Including managing restricted and unrestricted funding. 

• Oversee the process of preparing statutory accounts, including liaising with accountants and auditors.

• Maintain internal controls and policies to protect assets, prevent fraud, and ensure business continuity. 

• Participate in the Finance & Fundraising Committee and support the Treasurer to plan and deliver meetings. 

• Prepare financial reports for board meetings and engage in board discussions.

• Manage our annual governance cycle, working closely with the Chair, Treasurer and Executive Director to ensure legal compliance and to plan and prepare for Board meetings including taking appropriate minutes.

• Develop and maintain a suite of policy to ensure PINF meets its obligations as a charity and an employer.

• A professional qualification in finance, management, law, or a related field and at least five years’ experience relevant to this role.

About Spotlight

Spotlight on Corruption is a small team with outsized impact that shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad. 

We build the evidence base for reform through investigative research and extensive engagement with experts and frontline staff, and act as policy entrepreneurs, developing innovative and pragmatic solutions. We disseminate our work through hard-hitting reports and briefings for decision-makers and the general public and follow through with dogged advocacy to shape the narrative, as well as working in a highly collaborative manner to build consensus for reform.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to lead our strategic engagement with Westminster and external stakeholders. You will be an energetic and creative individual with a flair for building common ground, making connections as well as identifying and maximising political opportunities. You will be able to grasp complex details quickly and communicate them to a wide range of audiences. And you will have strong strategic nous, excellent networking skills, and an ability to keep your ear to the ground.

This role will work across our two thematic areas of ending impunity for corruption and defending democracy, liaising closely with the policy leads for those areas. You will be Spotlight’s organisational lead on developing our networks in Parliament, maintaining our relationships with Coalitions, and creating opportunities to get Spotlight messages across to policy and decision makers.

Key responsibilities:

• Growing and maintaining Spotlight’s relationships and networks with parliamentarians, policy makers and external partners, including by attending events, receptions and proactively setting up meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers. 

• Developing strategies to enhance Spotlight’s profile and influence with policy makers including organising policy briefings and events in person and online.

• Monitoring developments related to Spotlight’s priorities in political, policy and legislative processes and identifying opportunities to highlight and promote Spotlight’s work and reform agenda.

• Developing and writing compelling briefings, statements and other communications including social media posts tailored to diverse audiences.

• Supporting research and helping brief staff members ahead of public appearances where appropriate.

• Representing Spotlight in NGO coalitions where appropriate and building our relationships with other NGO stakeholders.

• Supporting fundraising initiatives for Spotlight.

Person specification - Essential:

• Experience of engaging with UK parliamentary procedures, and legislative processes and influencing parliamentarians in support of advocacy objectives.

• An interest in strategic influence and policy development and the ability to navigate complex political environments.

• Excellent and persuasive communication skills and messaging abilities to get across complex legal and technical issues in an engaging way for a wide range of audiences.

• Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, and the ability to forge and nurture constructive dialogues and working relationships across the political spectrum and within civil society.

• High levels of organisation, an ability to prioritise a busy workload and a willingness to chip in with administrative tasks where necessary as part of a small team. 

• A track record of using initiative and seeking opportunities to secure policy impact. 

• A track record of operating to high standards as a strong team player in a collaborative manner.

• Strong understanding of the UK political and anti-corruption landscape and a passion for fighting corruption.

• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

Person specification - Desirable:

• Direct experience of working in Parliament.

• Ability to undertake research and data analysis, including using the FOI regime.

• Experience of working with campaigning organisations.

• Experience of stakeholder management and convening.

Working arrangements:

Full-time, 35 hours per week. 30 days of annual leave (plus public holidays). Remote working from home required, with one day a week in the office, and regular meetings - sometimes at short notice - in London. Flexible working, including nine-day fortnight.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering both one-to-one emotional support and the chance to help shape an inspiring programme of workshops, peer-led groups, and social events for adult carers supporting loved ones with complex mental health needs.

The Philanthropy and Major Giving team is responsible for an annual budget of around £3.5m with an ambition to grow this to £5m by the end of our current strategic period in 2026. In 2021, the team doubled their income after the passing of HRH the late Duke of Edinburgh provided a significant opportunity to raise awareness and the profile of the charity. 

The Philanthropy and Major Giving team looks after a variety of relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family trusts and foundations, many of whom are long-term supporters of the charity committed to supporting young people to fulfil their potential. The team is proactive when it comes to new business, seeking opportunities from our current networks and events. We collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders including our CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Trustees, Strategy & Engagement and Operations teams. 

You will be joining a successful and ambitious team at a pivotal moment for the charity as we prepare to celebrate our 70th Anniversary in 2026 and launch a new five-year strategy.

The successful candidate will play an active and integral role in the Philanthropy team, feeding into team plans and working collaboratively to reach new donors and increase income raised.

We are looking for someone who is ambitious with the drive and tenacity to engage new high-level donors, as well as develop existing relationships with our network of generous and long-standing supporters.

• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable success in fundraising, networking and relationship building, which has led to significant financial support.
• Can demonstrate a proven experience in generating new business of six figures and above, including multi-year gifts, and managing and growing a diverse portfolio.

Working directly with your team and the wider income generation team, you will be responsible for setting and implementing our strategic plan aligned to securing income through Trusts, Foundations and Lotteries - working with your team you will identify and develop funding proposals to those partners and stakeholders which sit outside our corporate partnership team.

With your team, you will look to develop innovative ideas and compelling proposals which enable TCV to connect even more people to the green spaces around them, across:

- Health and Wellbeing
- Learning and Skills

You will be responsible for developing and bringing to life this new approach for TCV - with an ambition to secure national and or multi-regional funding, enabling us to connect even more people to green spaces.

Ideally you will have already worked in the charity sector and are able to demonstrate experience in leading a team to secure an annual income in excess of £1m across various funding streams.

You should be confident in your ability to set ambitious goals and high standards - and be capable and experienced in leading and supporting a team to achieve both the goals and the standards. You will have ultimate responsibility for leading on both identifying and creating a pipeline of TFL funding streams to meet our annual income target.

As the lead for the TFL team, you must be confident in your ability to communicate our case for support to your team, and to both our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our proposals are compelling, well thought out and deliver value and impact for both our funding partners and TCV.

We would expect you to be skilled and experienced in writing compelling funding applications and be able to critique and act as a sounding board for your teams own individual applications.
