Job description

About LMK

Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK (Let Me Know) is on a mission to change that. We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. We work in schools, community organisations and workplaces across London.

LMK is growing at pace and we are ambitious in our plans for the future. We’ve already engaged 21,000 young people and professionals in our workshops in our first 5 years and we want to reach a further 18,000 young people over the next two years.

We will achieve this by engaging new schools, community groups and workplaces in our offer, whilst also continuing to provide a high-quality service to those who have already experienced LMK workshops, embedding our programme into their annual delivery plans. Further information about our programmes can be found here.

We have:

✔ A clear plan of who we want to target for our workshops over the next 3 years

✔ An engaged leadership team and Board of Trustees

✔ A talented group of freelance LMK Leaders (trainers) leading our workshops

✔ A diverse and talented Youth Advisory Board, helping shape our programmes

✔ Diversity and strong social purpose

✔ An organisational strategy that sets our vision from 2024-2027

✔ A new CRM system that has been built to support our ambitions

Job Description

LMK’s Head of Programmes leads the development and delivery of our range of relationship education programmes for young people and the adults that support them. As we move into the next phase of our development, the role includes expanding the delivery of high quality education workshops for young people outside London and supporting ongoing conversations to embed learning through the provision of digital resources for young people and the trusted adults around them.

Leading a passionate and talented team of employees and freelance youth workers (LMK Leaders), and working closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager and Community Engagement Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our programmes.

This role is an important ambassadorial role for LMK, bringing gravitas and insight from your experience of education provision to evidence LMK’s impact to fellow education professionals, youth workers, funders and the media.

The Head of Programmes acts as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) collaborating with the CEO (Deputy DSL) and two Designated Safeguarding Officers (DSOs) to ensure our practice is safe.

Working with the CEO, and with insight from our Youth Advisory Board, this role helps shape the strategic direction for LMK. You will work closely with the Fundraising team to identify funding opportunities, and project manage the delivery of secured projects.

In return for your dedication, we will offer you

✔ The opportunity to help prevent relationship abuse and domestic violence in young people

✔ A diverse, bold and collaborative culture

✔ A commitment to supporting continuous professional development

✔ Working from home

✔ A genuinely flexible working environment based on a 35 hour work-week for full time staff

✔ Pension of 6%

✔ 32 Days of annual leave, (including bank holidays) – pro-rated for this role

✔ Employee Assistance Programme

✔Cycle to work scheme

✔Wellbeing days

We’re a bold, collaborative, and receptive team who live the 10 signs of healthy relationships we teach. You’ll join a culture that values honesty, fun, kindness, and trust as much as impact
