JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR (UK4U), the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for a Prospect Research Manager to join its Partnerships and Philanthropy Team (PPH). This role will play a key part in continuing to build our UHNWI, HNWI, Trust and Foundation and Corporate pipelines, by working closely with fundraising colleagues as well as UNHCR internationally.
This role reports to the Head of Philanthropy and manages the Prospect Research Officer. The post holder will identify research, organise and evaluate a prospect’s financial capacity, ability to give, willingness to give, charitable interests, and connection to the organisation, operating within the organisation’s due diligence process. The post holder will work closely with senior stakeholders within PPH to help drive each area’s strategy and the overall team objectives.
The role manages UK for UNHCR’s due diligence process from renewing due diligence on existing pipelines, to completing new due diligence profiles utilising key due diligence tools and platforms, working with the PPH team, SMT and UNHCR’s global due diligence team.
Passionate about the refugee cause and UNHCR’s contribution, you will have demonstrable experience of successfully identifying prospects as well as preparing and presenting in depth prospect briefs for across the high value fundraising pipeline from UHNW and HNW individuals, Trusts & Foundations and corporates. You will be familiar with using a variety of information sources, of complying with GDPR and other regulations and working with a CRM database. Donor focussed and a problem solver, you will with have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be someone who enjoys working as part of a team.

Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Stakeholders within PPH, to build upon the overarching strategy for the prospect research function, to deliver a strong and sustainable prospect pipeline
- Using a broad spectrum of sources, identify, research, organise and evaluate a prospect’s financial capacity, ability to give, willingness to give, charitable interests, and connection to the organisation. Support fundraising staff in prioritising prospects and building pipelines.
- Lead meetings with senior stakeholders (CEO and Fundraising Heads) to discuss new prospects and the current HNWI portfolio and Corporate pipeline.
- Keep up to date on research and due diligence trends including identifying ways to improve risk research, due diligence and market insight.
- Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and processes, maintaining a system to enable the organisation to track due diligence carried out, ensuring compliance with all regulatory best practice standards.
- Track and manage prospect research KPIS using power BI.
- Produce in-depth, well-written reports on prospects based on a combination of data from the donor database, open access records and other markers of high-quality donors.
- Managing and coaching an officer level prospect research role, overseeing their work on key projects and developing their skills.
- Embed best practice use of the database within the team, developing tools to analyse and review our prospect pool and how prospects are moved through the pipeline.
- Implement new research techniques as they arise, striving to design a high quality and efficient prospect research methodology.
- Carry regular pipeline reviews to ensure pipelines remain dynamic and fit for purpose.

Personal Attributes and Experience
Essential Experience
- Experience of providing strategically aligned research to help identify and prioritise prospects capable of offering significant financial and/or other support.
- Experience of profiling, network mapping, prospect qualification and other intelligence gathering activities.
- Experience of working with colleagues in Individual Giving as well as with major donor and corporate fundraisers to optimise use of a CRM database to identify potential prospects.
- Experience managing, coaching, motivating and supporting more junior members of the team.
- Experience carrying out due diligence.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and working within GDPR policies.
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders (CEO and Trustees and fundraising board members) to identify key prospects within their networks and offering recommendations on next steps and areas of UNHCR’s work that may be of interest to prospects.
- Experience of working on fundraising databases.

The role
This role requires translation of quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights and stories that can be communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the charity. The role also includes supporting the Evidence & Insight (E&I) team with the collation of existing evidence, working with external agencies and partners to support the delivery of targeted E&I projects, developing networks, and horizon scanning across the sector to keep up to date on E&I programmes. About you
We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, who has a creative approach to exploring data.Ideally you will have already had experience of working in the charity or non-profit sectors and have strong analytical and technical skills including an understanding of CRM systems, conducting statistical analysis such as regression and hypothesis testing and be proficient in data management and manipulation using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, SPSS, R or similar. Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Leadership
- Leads strategy, planning and operation of the major gift, trusts & foundations and corporate giving channels.
- Develops annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and Executive Team.
- Strategically identifies and qualifies potential new donors to grow the prospect pipeline.
- Prepares development communications: solicitation and acknowledgement letters; case statements and proposals; stewardship reports; briefing notes; gift agreements.
- Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gift commitments from high-net-worth individuals
- Monitors activity of the team, ensuring that benchmarks are achieved, including submission of solicitations, donor contacts and meetings, confirmations of donations, and other performance indicators as related to the team checking their portfolio.

Prospect Research Manager

The Prospect Research Manager will be instrumental in identifying and unlocking the potential of these supporters.
This strategic role sits at the heart of our development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.
Following the implementation of a new CRM system, the Prospect Research Manager will also play a key role in embedding best practices in data management and prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.
This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week. We are happy to offer flexibility across the working week, and the specific days and schedule can be agreed with the successful candidate to ensure a good fit for both the individual and the team.
There is an expectation to attend the office once per week as well as any required in person meetings.
The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is £36,750, which equates to a pro-rata salary of:
£14,700 for 15 hours per week

Key responsibilities:
Prospect Research & Pipeline Development: Conduct high-quality, targeted prospect research to identify and support new fundraising opportunities across ZSL’s priority income streams: institutional fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.
Strategic Prospect Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and implement a robust prospect development strategy that aligns with ZSL’s organisational goals and long-term fundraising ambitions.
Insightful Donor Intelligence: Create detailed research briefings, biographies, and insight reports to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and strategic engagement planning.
Tools, Processes & Compliance: Support the continuous improvement of prospect management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to relevant codes of practice.
About You
- Experience in wealth screening, capacity assessment and affinity analysis to provide propensity scoring.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and how it applies to prospect research and development (e.g. GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice).
- Experience of successfully implementing a prospect development strategy to support increasing and diversifying income.
- Proven experience in identifying and conducting detailed research on high-net-worth individuals, trusts and corporates for the higher education / charity sector.
- Evidenced track record of supporting fundraisers with insights in fundraising to achieve six or seven figure donations.
- Experience of using databases within fundraising for prospect management and reporting and making appropriate data management recommendations (Tessitura would be an advantage).
- Knowledge of the principles of philanthropic analysis, relationship mapping and connections, and what makes a good fundraising prospect.
- Demonstrable ability to engage, share expertise, and appropriately challenge senior stakeholders, including CEO with strong interpersonal skills and discretion.

Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other enterprise CRM platforms, and a clear understanding of how CRM drives fundraising strategy.

As our Senior Manager for Philanthropy Products, you will engage and inspire philanthropists through a new high-value proposition. This proposition will create transformational change whilst also delivering sector leading stewardship, piloting new channels and formats for reporting and engagement.
In this role, you will:
- Lead this initiative - driving progress, ensuring global coordination and overseeing the global funding pipeline.
- Develop innovative, sector leading communications for donors and prospects
- Represent the proposition externally

Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and creating tailored, impactful content.
- Proven ability to develop innovative stewardship and reporting products.
- Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and driving collaboration across teams.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivery and results.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience engaging ultra-high net worth individuals, particularly in the UK and US.
- Experience developing and managing digital donor reporting tools, such as private portals.
- Understanding of international development issues.
- Experience working in large, complex international organisations.

The role
Are you passionate about creating impact for young entrepreneurs around the world? Youth Business International (YBI) is looking for a highly motivated Senior Programme Officer join our Development & Programmes team and play a key role supporting the coordination, delivery, and quality of global programmes.
You will support a range of projects—from programme implementation and grant reporting to MEL and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the implementation and delivery of a portfolio of programmes
- Support MEL colleagues to monitor delivery of project outputs and outcomes against targets
- Assisting with funder engagement, reporting and proposal development
You’ll be working in a dynamic, collaborative environment with an international scope. If you are highly organised, proactive, with a strong eye for detail and experience in programme coordination or management this role is for you.
