Your role
You will be an integral part of a busy, professional and customer service focused Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team, with a strong culture of providing tools for staff to do their job well and to optimise business processes. You will develop, build and maintain internal applications for local and remote users, especially helping colleagues to make the most of the Access ThankQ CRM database and supporting the finance and HR teams. You will also work closely with fundraising and communications colleagues to develop and support the public CMS website.

What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have significant experience in web technology and in the development of secure web-based database systems using PHP – together with MSSQL Server/MySQL/MariaDB databases. You will also have recent experience of managing and developing websites using WordPress. You will be able to demonstrate your skills with a variety of web and database technologies as well as show your ability to learn new technologies as required. You will need to be patient, calm and approachable, as well as a good team worker.
It is also a requirement for this post holder to be in sympathy with the aims and values of CMS.

The person
You will have a passion for graphic design and thrive on identifying and maximising opportunities for the charity to look and feel its brilliant best. You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to manage multiple stakeholders and design briefs simultaneously.
Key accountabilities
- Developing a wide range of creative to help raise awareness of who we are and what we do, promote our services and support our fundraising efforts.
- Pitching creative concepts in response to briefs from teams across Whizz Kidz (including Services, Fundraising, Policy, Volunteering, Corporate and Trusts).
- Responding to design briefs, creating a wide range of design elements and assets – including digital campaign assets, website and social assets, branded merchandise and printed publications.
- Project managing design processes from conception through to completion, including taking into account feedback, liaising with print partners and the management of any centralised stock.
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with our print partners, ensuring that all materials created are proofed and to the desired standard.
- Offering training and support to colleagues using our new branded templates when necessary.
- Looking after our brand guidelines and developing new guidelines where required.
- Responding to design enquiries promptly and providing information and materials to colleagues in a timely manner when requested.

About the Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising Team, where you’ll help generate over £1.4 million each year to keep the Youth Zone running. You’ll lead on writing compelling bids and funding proposals that unlock both unrestricted income and targeted project support – from mental health to employability to sports and creative programmes.

The Head of Governance and Chief Executive’s Office is responsible for effective governance across The Place, compliance with regulatory frameworks and providing effective professional administrative support to the Chief Executive. Specifically, this post holder will:
- Ensure effective governance across The Place and its Board of Governors.

The Governors help us shape our overall strategy and support The Place to fulfil its artistic and educational objectives within a sustainable business model. As The Place is a company limited by guarantee (company no. 883094) and a registered charity (charity no. 250216), Governors are both charity trustees and company directors.
There are two key departments; Education (comprising Research and London Contemporary Dance School and the Centre for Advanced Training), and Public Programmes (comprising Theatre and Artist Development, Producing and Touring, Creative Learning and Classes and Courses). These departments are supported by Central Services Teams including Communications, Development, Finance and Human Resources.
Key stakeholders and partners include Arts Council England, Office for Students, the Department for Education, Research England alongside the Charity Commission. We also have a partnership with the University of the Arts London (UAL) in support of degree validation and PhD supervision.
SALARY
The salary for this position is £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience).
Salaries are reviewed in August each year when any cost-of-living increases are made. No salary changes are made until after successful completion of a probationary period.
CONTRACT TERMS
This is an open-ended, permanent contract. This is a full-time position (equivalent to 40 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager. A minimum of 50% of hours must be office-based, with the opportunity for some remote working in agreement with the line manager.
Whilst in the six-month probationary period the notice period will be two weeks. Once this period is successfully completed the post holder will be confirmed in the post and the notice period will be twelve weeks.

About the Role
As Digital Marketing Assistant, you will support the Digital Marketing and wider Digital teams in their day-to-day delivery of the digital marketing strategy across owned, paid and earned channels. You will work closely with the Social Media, Content and Fundraising Coordinators on content generation for our digital marketing channels, focusing on appealing to our target audiences and current supporters in a positive and engaging way.
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include
- Assisting with the generation of content for the Sanctuary’s digital marketing channels.
- Writing and editing social media copy for all departments.
- Creating digital content in its various forms including video and images, using photo and video editing software as required.
- Monitoring incoming social media activity including comments and direct messages, liaising with colleagues from across the organisation to provide answers to often complex questions and engaging in a timely and appropriate manner where required.
- Assisting with the delivery of fundraising and commercial activities to maximise the charity’s digital income generation and supporter stewardship opportunities.
- Helping to research and introduce new and effective digital trends to ensure the charity is using digital marketing channels in the most engaging way.
- Assisting the Digital team in monitoring and reporting on social media activity using analytical tools.
The working pattern for this role will be hybrid working, which combine onsite and home working under the guiding principles for such roles, with onsite attendance currently anticipated to be at least 2 days a month.

About You
You will have experience of creating engaging content for social media channels, social media community management and reporting.
You will also have:
- An excellent standard of written English and communication skills, including copywriting for different audiences.
- A good base knowledge of digital marketing and fundraising.
- Adept at using photo and video editing software, ideally the Adobe suite.
- Able to multi-task and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail whilst working with a number of conflicting demands and deadlines.

You’ll be key to delivering the Fragile Threads corporate development income strategy, identifying and driving vital new business as well retaining longer term support from priority sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Identifying and approaching potential corporate partners
Work closely with the Fragile Threads Project Lead and the RSN Fundraising Team to:
- Identify, research and deliver a pipeline of targeted new business that delivers maximum impact for Fragile Threads, particularly the exhibition, whilst meeting the RSN’s organisational objectives
- Work with senior external stakeholders to deliver effective stakeholder engagement plans, leveraging internal relationships where needed to increase partner commitment and visibility
- Create compelling and persuasive and audience-tailored partnership propositions / proposals

As the Supporter Engagement & Legacy Manager you will play a key role as we seek to reignite our legacy marketing programme and grow overall individual giving income to help ensure long-term support for those facing financial difficulty. The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.
The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.
