As Supporter Care Officer you’ll help to build our fundraising activities by working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to grow, diversify and sustain our income generation. You’ll provide excellent care and guidance to our supporters and create plans to grow our activities across individual giving, challenge and community fundraising. We’re in the early stages of growth and this new role offers an exciting opportunity to help build a fundraising department from the ground up.
You’ll have some experience in fundraising and/or the charity sector and will be keen to develop your skills and work across multiple functions in a small, fast-moving team. Alternatively, you might be looking for an entry route into fundraising as a career path and have suitable transferable skills and a growth mind-set.

Job Purpose
As Director of Partnerships, you will:

Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Leadership
- Leads strategy, planning and operation of the major gift, trusts & foundations and corporate giving channels.
- Develops annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and Executive Team.
- Strategically identifies and qualifies potential new donors to grow the prospect pipeline.
- Prepares development communications: solicitation and acknowledgement letters; case statements and proposals; stewardship reports; briefing notes; gift agreements.
- Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gift commitments from high-net-worth individuals
- Monitors activity of the team, ensuring that benchmarks are achieved, including submission of solicitations, donor contacts and meetings, confirmations of donations, and other performance indicators as related to the team checking their portfolio.
- Provides the organisation with the interpretation of market trends and emerging issues that could impact the organisation’s partnerships fundraising stream.
- Ensures the effective collection of donor information and tracking of points of contact in accordance with best practices; provides and presents statistical analysis to senior leaders.
- Leads on data mining, prospect research, and ensuring the quality of data as it relates to the donors they work with.
- Develops and manages relationships within their own portfolio, personally conducting cultivation visits, solicitation calls and stewardship activities as required.
- Effectively manages fundraising resources and practices ethical fundraising.
HR Management
- Leads, mentors, and manages a team; regular meetings to provide direction, coaching and delegation to the partnerships team.
Financial Management
- Manages and implements approved business plans, ensuring that the annual revenue objectives and budget are met or exceeded, and oversight of the partnership’s departmental budgets.
- Provides leadership in the delivery of statistical analysis, projections, and detailed reports on partnerships fundraising goals and performance that may be used to contribute to the development of internal budgets.
Partnership Sustainability
- Develops donor relationships by researching, sourcing, cultivating, and stewarding existing and potential partners.
- Works to broaden sources of revenue, including working with corporate partners in various industries.
- Develops and implements a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors and corporate partners.
- Contributes innovative ideas to the development of new strategic partnerships and alternative revenue streams.
Other
- Other duties as assigned by the ED.
- Meetings with OSI and partner countries.

The Role:
The Fundraising & Events Officer will provide administrative assistance with grants and donor fundraising and the logistics for events. Working alongside the Development Manager and the Founding Director you will support identifying and managing donor opportunities, and the research and support of applications to Trusts and Foundations. Principal Accountabilities for the Core Job:
- Ensure all the necessary administration to support fundraising including recording all donations and potential contact information on Salesforce, thanking and reporting to all event attendees and donors.
- Assistance in the planning, setting up and logistics of all events including attending events as required (includes occasional out of office and out of hours commitments).
- Establish and maintain donor contacts on the database, and, with the Development Manager, coordinate donor communication and planning.
- Prepare donation quarterly reports and report post event on financial and potential contact outcomes and lessons learnt.
- Build and support our individual giving Champions programme through events and regular communications.
- Work with the Founding Director in research to support grant applications and assistance in making applications to small grant–making organisations.
- Prepare information for reports to Trusts and Foundations and major donors, creating a fundraising dashboard to include uploading and managing reporting and grant deadline dates on Salesforce including the establishment of a reporting procedure for existing grants makers.
- Working with the Development Manager, ensure there is sufficient and appropriate fundraising events to meet the annual donations targets through events.
- With the Executive Director and the Development Manager, support the logistics for event committees including assisting in identifying potential Chairs and committee members and working with the event hosts.
- Support the Development Manager to expand FCW’s fundraised revenue through developing event sponsorship opportunities and other forms of event revenue (ticket sales, raffles etc).
- Supported by the Finance Director, set up and manage the annual budget for expenditure and income from events.
- Any other duties as required from time to time to support the work of the charity.

The Role Responsibilities

Essential
•Five years’ experience working on a charity corporate partnerships team
•Experience managing five or six figure partnerships at a national level
•Experience of excellent donor stewardship
•Good writing and communication skills
•Good organisational skills and multi-tasking during busy periods
•Enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated and passionate about the Third Sector

MAIN BENEFITS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
25 days holiday (we also normally give between Christmas and New Year off, but this is not contractual). In addition, after one year's continuous service, there will be an extra 2 days annual holiday for every complete year of service, up to a maximum of five days' extra holiday.
