What you’ll be doing
- Lead the Philanthropy strategy and drive growth across all high‑value income streams
- Identify, cultivate and solicit major supporters to secure high value donations aligned to agreed targets, including the £200m Global Cancer Appeal.
- Recruit and work with Appeal Board members, senior volunteers and trustees to progress prospects and secure transformational gifts.

About you
You bring a well‑established, highly successful career in high‑value philanthropy, with:
- A proven record of securing seven‑figure and above gifts, and developed expertise in high‑value acquisition and relationship management.
- Experience in identifying, recruiting and managing senior volunteers, and working credibly with donors, board members, VIPs and ambassadors.
- Strategic leadership of senior fundraisers and teams, driving performance, culture and process change.
- Significant budget accountability (c.£1m+), high numeracy and the ability to interpret financial reports and KPIs.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London. The role will coordinate and run steering and advisory groups, and ‘task and finish’ groups, working with cross-sector stakeholders to enable the implementation of recent recommendations generated by research commissioned by the programme, and help with monitoring and evaluating the project and funded projects under this programme. Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. Role outline and purpose
The Development Manager – Trusts & Foundations is responsible for delivering new relationships with a wide spectrum of Trusts and Foundations to grow our portfolio of high value funding partners. Responsible for developing compelling propositions and applications that drive transformational funding for our strategic programmes of work, maximising income generation, though prospecting, cultivating and securing funding to deliver against our strategic objectives and ambitious income targets.
This role is part of the Together with Trussell programme, the goal of which is to build stronger connections with our supporters, partners and donors in order to increase funding, campaigning, and other forms of support for our work. As a member of an enabling programme, this role is focused on the successful delivery of the Together with Trussell programme outcomes, which underpin and enable the outcomes of our 5 external programmes - together contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.
Role responsibilities
· Work with the Programme Funding team to deliver our income generation strategy, meeting income targets based on long term financial forecasts, by proactively developing new opportunities, propositions and relationships with a wide variety of Trusts and Foundations – including corporate foundations, family trusts and institutional trusts.
· Proactively identify, develop and nurture relationships with potential funders to maximise fundraising potential.
· Work alongside the High Value Partnerships team to ensure new funders are onboarded and handed over to account management and supporting with compelling propositions to uplift and retain their support.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, make the most of every day. The charity aspires to become a centre of clinical excellence for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
We’ve been on a major upward trajectory in recent years, with more children being supported, more major hospitals being partnered with and more supporters donating. We’ve transformed from being an enthusiastic start-up delivering care in the community, to a serious player delivering major impact both in the community and at our state-of-the-art hospice building, The Ark, opened in 2019.
Philanthropy, which covers Grants, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donor fundraising streams, is pivotal to Noah’s Ark, typically accounting for around 50% of the charity’s voluntary income. This is an area of real expertise for Noah’s Ark, with much scope for further refining. The successful candidate will therefore enjoy opportunities to manage and add to an exciting portfolio and gain further training and support, working as part of a high-performing and super supportive team, ready for its next exciting growth phase.
The Philanthropy Officer will work closely with and report to the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager and Head of Philanthropy to develop the Trust and Major Donor pipelines, along with instrumental cross-team work on applications and reporting processes for other income streams. Whilst we work towards developing a more diverse funding model and navigate changes to the external Trust and HNWI environments, sustaining and growing income from both of these income steams will remain vital.
The post-holder will be key in taking the Trust and Major Donor programmes to the next level, securing new grants, building relationships, increasing multi-year gifts and improving both quality and volume of applications. They will also support the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the wider team, to the same end with their respective portfolios.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead on the recruitment, retention, and value growth of Afghanaid’s supporter base by directing and implementing communications, fundraising and engagement strategies, aligned with broader organisation goals. PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Responsible for processing all income in SAGE from various platforms reconciling income to bank statements.
- Responsible for processing monthly/annual journal and accruals
- Responsible for sales invoicing.
- Perform monthly CRM-Accounting software reconciliation.
- Helping to improve finance processes and systems.
- Monthly claim and process monthly Internal Gift Aid claims and reconcile External Gift Aid with Fundraising Team.
- Support Finance Manager with a variety of monthly and quarterly reconciliations and ad-hoc reports
- Oversee customer invoicing and Credit Control.
- Assist the external auditors during their audit fieldwork
- Coordinate financial tasks for Major Fundraising Events (pre and post activities)
- Attend the major Fundraising events
- Acting as point of contact for income related queries
- Support with bank reconciliation,
- Support with preparation of fixed assets register
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
- Assist in the preparation of Budgets, Reforecasts and Management Accounts
- Keep financial procedures and other documents up to date.
- Provide training to budget holders
Other
- Maintain records of procedures, sharing best-practice with the rest of the team
- Provide support and cover as required to the Finance and Operations team.
- Respond to and direct general office inquiries by phone or email.

Asylum Justice is the only charity in Wales - and one of very few in the UK - providing free legal advice and representation to people seeking asylum, refugees, and other migrants who are excluded from legal aid. Every day, we help people navigate a hostile system, challenge injustice, and secure safety for themselves and their families.
Demand for our services is higher than ever. In the past year alone, our caseload increased by nearly 50%, and we've taken on more complex, urgent cases - including supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and people at immediate risk of destitution or deportation.
We’re now looking for a Funding Officer to join our small, committed team and help secure the resources we need to sustain and grow our work. This is a chance to make a tangible difference - not just in helping us meet income targets, but in strengthening access to justice for some of the most marginalised people in Wales.
The role is hybrid working (Cardiff office and remote working) but fully remote working may also be considered. We are open to compressed hours or part-time working (minimum 28 hours) for the right candidate. We also welcome applications from people interested in a job share arrangement.
About the role
This is a hands-on, varied role that combines fundraising, relationship management, and impact storytelling. You’ll work closely with our Legal Director and wider team to:
- Research and identify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources
- Write compelling funding bids and reports that reflect our impact and values
- Maintain excellent relationships with funders and support project coordination with delivery partners
- Coordinate grant reporting and keep accurate records of income, spend, and deadlines
- Support internal monitoring and evaluation to strengthen our evidence base
- Help develop our approach to individual giving, fundraising events, and donor communications
