About the Role
The Retail Business Manager, North provides an exciting opportunity to be a part of the evolution of Save the Children Retail.
This role will play a pivotal part in leading and inspiring change, motivating teams, bringing the Save the Children culture and our vision to life.
Our shops exist to provide a beautiful shopping experience for all the community. They are each unique within our family of propositions but are united in creating an energy and atmosphere, with positivity and kindness, and providing a welcoming diverse environment.
This role will be vital in providing clarity and direction with regards to how we operate (see our How Our Shops Operate document attached), guiding and engaging shop teams to drive the business to optimum operational success, as well as harnessing commerciality and embracing localism in line with each shop's proposition.
The current shops you'll manage include Whitby, Chester, Derby, Glasgow, and two sites in Edinburgh, but please note that these shops/locations will change as the business evolves.
About You
Essential skills & experience:
Our successful candidate will be someone with significant retail and/or charity retail management experience.

Reporting to the Head of Development, the Development Manager will take an active role in building a robust and sustainable major donor and corporate fundraising programme to help us expand our work across the UK over the coming years. They will work closely with the Head of Development to establish new and exciting partnerships with high-net-worth individuals and companies who align with our values, to grow income sustainably and guarantee the long-term stability of the organisation. As well as these two key areas, the role will also oversee the individual giving programme as a whole, including the fan club and online digital appeals, with the support of the Communications and Operations Officer.

- Proactively research, identify, and develop support from high-net-worth individuals.

- Manage a portfolio of corporate partners of all sizes, building our income from businesses and developing a successful long-term strategy for securing financial, pro bono and in-kind support.

Individual Giving
- Oversee the Big Give Christmas campaign in December.
- Manage and develop the Choir with No Name fan club (regular giver programme), agreeing and achieving recruitment and attrition targets.
- Working with the Communications and Operations Officer, develop and promote digital giving appeals.
- Manage the Choir with No Name supporter database (eTapestry) ensuring donor data is kept up to date and is accurate.
- Work with the finance and data administrator to produce accurate and timely monthly donation reports for our bookkeeper.
General
- Contribute to the annual fundraising strategy, alongside the Head of Development and CEO.
- Develop a robust fundraising pipeline and stewardship plan to generate sustainable income in line with our targets and strategy.
- Evaluate fundraising activities, embedding a test and learn approach across all projects.
- Produce accurate and timely reports for funders and Trustees.
- Ensure donation data is accurately recorded in accordance with data protection regulations.

Specific responsibilities:

Job Description
Position: Fundraiser
Paid (OTE - uncapped) (securing funding via grant writing)
This role reports to: The CEO
Responsibilities:
- Lead research for grant opportunities from government and non-government bodies.
- Lead and project manage tenders and funding bids including bid writing and budget development on a timely basis.
- Independently manage bid submissions to deadlines, ensuring delivery of high quality tender/proposal responses.
- Create an annual grants and legacy plan for Rebuilding Lives UK.
- Prepare information about grants, trusts and foundations, advising the CEO and Trustees of the requirements of the applications, the deadlines being worked towards and the final outcomes.
- Co-ordinate fundraising events for legacy and donor programmes.
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
- Write and tailor content for grant applications; this includes contributing to a fundraising strategy.
- Take responsibility for writing proposals in detail, the work the charity does and how the charity uses grant money.
- Develop relationships with funders by expanding your network.
- Identifying funding sources.
- Share ideas for fundraising.
- Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
- Organise campaigns to attract donors.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a national Children’s Charity to find their new Corporate Partnerships Manager within thier Account Management team.
The organisation offers a flexible working environment, with a fully remote working pattern. This role will require occasional travel for engagement activities.
As Relationship Manager you will manage high value (5-6 figure) existing partnerships with leading global brands, as well as on boarding and new business partnerships to deliver on ambitious partnership objectives, maximising income and supporting awareness for the charity. You will collaborate across departments internally to build awareness and ensure effective delivery of the Partnership objectives and targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the aims and objectives of partnerships through preparing, managing and delivering activity plans and income budgets in support of the Partnership plan
- Responsible for the implementation of national, regional and local corporate partnership initiatives
- Develop and deliver innovative approaches to achieving fundraising targets and new opportunities for employee engagement
- Lead on designated partnerships, projects and events contributing to the Partnership plan
- Implement and maintain excellent communications procedures with colleagues and key stakeholders across all areas of the Charity to coordinate delivery and raise awareness of partnership objectives and targets
- Administer appropriate income/expenditure procedures, produce monthly reports and maintain accurate records of fundraising and other activity to enable evaluation and analysis
- Represent and/or deputise for the Senior Corporate Relationship Manager as required
- Proactively support Corporate Partnerships and colleagues in the ongoing development of activities and initiatives that will contribute the corporate team objectives. Including Support of Relationship Executives in their day to day job, providing direction, sharing experiences and providing advice and assistance as required.
- Assist and advise others in the successful production of fundraising, communications and promotional materials for corporate partners
Person Specification:
- Experience of working in a demanding and profit driven corporate/business, fundraising, sales or marketing environment.
- Managing profitable client/donor relationships within large and complex organisations/companies
- A proven track record in implementing and managing account plans and delivering financial targets.
- Experience of managing corporate relationships or equivalent.
- Present oral/written communication professionally and persuasively.
- Appreciation of equalities and diversity and how it affects this position, the organisation and supporters.
- Understanding the corporate sector and raising funds and awareness from partnerships

Relationship Manager - Legacy Fundraising
£30,000- £35,000 plus
Reports to: Divisional Manager
Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week
Location: Home-based with regular travel around the patch. This patch covers, North Wales, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Candidates must live in this area or within 50 miles of the divisional border. Travel will be reimbursed in line with the organisations travel policy.

You will be building, maintaining, and growing relationships with a wide range of individuals and activities with a focus on legacy giving.
This is an opportunity to have a job which you can make your own. No two days will be the same - whether its visiting CRUK shops to chat to customers, delivering a speech to community groups or giving advice to supporters on the phone.
This is a home based role with significant travel across the patch to maximise community engagement. On average this would be 60 percent out in the field (travelling around your patch meeting supporters)and 40 percent home based. However is subject to change based on business need. There will be some evening working required to attend committee meetings however you will get this time back via our time off in lieu policy.

Speaking to supporters in person, at events, on the phone and via email.

What skills will I need?
Familiarity/understanding of working within a legacy or community fundraising environment is beneficial, but not essential. We are flexible on your background as long as you can demonstrate the skills and experience needed.
