Salford Lads' and Girls' Club is a historic recreational club in Salford, Greater Manchester. Established in 1903, the club provides a safe space for young people in the local community to engage in sports and creative activities. Its motto has endured to this day “To brighten young lives and make good citizens.”

The club also remains a unique site of cultural interest for national and international visitors to Salford and Greater Manchester. It is famous for its iconic red-brick building, which has remained largely unchanged since its construction. Over the years, it has been associated with notable figures, including footballers and musicians. The Club gained international recognition after appearing on the album cover of The Smiths' "The Queen Is Dead". And it continues to attract visitors from around the world, offering tours and selling merchandise to support our operations.

We are at a pivotal point in our growth journey and are looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to lead and grow our club revenue through the unique cultural interest in the Club. 

The Role

The Commercial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving financial sustainability by generating income and managing commercial activities through venue hire, event planning, merchandise sales and securing strategic long-term partnerships, enhancing existing revenue streams, and identifying new opportunities.

The position will ensure the charity maximises its commercial potential while staying true to its mission and values.

About you

We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years' experience in an income generation role, including venue hire and event management, ideally in a charity setting. 

You will be organised and planful in your work with the ability to project manage activities with strong budget management skills.  You’ll have the ability to communicate well and work with a variety of individuals and will be able to negotiate and influence well.  You need to be comfortable working independently and able to manage multiple different projects at pace.

Based in our Philanthropy Team in Fundraising, the postholder works with our clinical, estates and governance teams creating compelling proposals to secure mostly restricted income. If you have great digital competence, including the use of AI to summarise information, are an excellent storymaker able to understand an audience, quickly synthesize information and pitch in writing for success, or an early-career fundraiser ready to develop, in this role you will make a difference and work as part of a creative successful team. Understanding how to keep our ask fresh and steward these relationships is key.  You will inherit a portfolio of trust and grant funders who have committed support over the long term and a portfolio that delivers at least £180k in income each year. You will work with colleagues on well-established campaigns like The Big Give and support experienced volunteers who handle small grants. This role has space for innovation to secure new funders and uplift existing contributions.

Rasing Funds:

· Ensure an inclusive, engaging and best-in-class experience for Trusts and grant makers

· Manage an annual rolling programme of applications and multi-year funding reporting requirements. 

· Deliver medium, large and complex bids for unrestricted and restricted income to ensure success to an income level of at least £150k to fund initiatives including for example: direct delivery of care, volunteering initiatives, new routes into work for protected groups, equipment and capital projects.

· Robust and regular research of funding opportunities, new trusts, and wider horizon scanning to identify a broad base of opportunity to refresh and renew the pipeline of prospective funders

· Steward existing trust donors, finding opportunities to cultivate and grow the relationship.

· Be a visible accessible presence across the hospice, encouraging colleagues to share and develop their own ideas to raise funds that you and/or trust and grant volunteers can take forward and or support the team generating the ideas to do so.

· Attend our Clinical Assets Meetings and restricted funding meetings

· Generate social media posts consistent with Hospice content standards and GDPR and hard and soft copy information to inform and promote the impact of supporters, this includes video/reel thankyou messages.

Communication

· Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities

· Maintain and develop relationships with existing trust and foundation donors

· Be the first point of contact for trust and grant funders and supporters and, for colleagues internally who have questions/queries or have an interest in this area of funding

· Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses

· Help to create and deliver moments of stewardship that are personal to each funder, show the impact of their support and inspire them when they can, to have an on-going relationship with the charity.

· Be volunteer team leader recruiting volunteers to support your role, ensuing they are inducted and supported. As the wider team help ensure all volunteers feel supported when their respective team leader is away.

· Identify opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the Hospice to maximum benefit for the charity.

· Be an outstanding advocate for the Charity and represent the Charity at functions and events, in line with the values of the organisation, to promote the objectives of the Charity

Digital/Business Administration

· Provide routine and regular reporting on progress, advising on risk/mitigation to ensure the annual target is met

· Enter and update donor information on the CRM ensuring compliance with the GDPR and Data Protection Act.

· Ensure CRM (Donify) records and preference information is up to date and accurate at all times, including recording interactions with supporters

· Ensure all word documents are securely saved and accessible to colleagues on Sharepoint. 

· Ensure you comply with all aspects of statutory and mandatory training for your role and through your individual performance deliver on jointly agreed objectives and goals that help to deliver the business of the charity.

The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for all individual donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our individual giving income. The Individual Giving Manager will work with the Head of Fundraising and Deputy CEO to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The Individual Giving Manager will line manage the Fundraising Assistant, which is a new entry-level fundraising role responsible for the development and day-to-day administration of our community fundraising income stream for individuals and our corporate community.

The Community and Events Manager reports into the Fundraising Development Manager and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive community and events engagement strategy, coordinating all community, third party and St Giles Hospice organised events and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

You will have a passion for social impact, strong organisational skills, and a proven track record in event management and leadership. You will also be adept at working with volunteers, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

You’ll be an accomplished fundraiser with proven experience in achieving income targets. Building community networks regionally will be essential to the success of this post.

Role Overview:

The Networking and Events Manager will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining relationships with a variety of strategic partners within the UK, including university societies, community groups, children’s afterschool clubs such as scouts/brownie, businesses, and other UK organisations that align with our mission and values. They’ll manage a team of events professionals, leading on our events, volunteer and relationships strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build and nurture relationships, identify opportunities, and support the long-term sustainability.

Essential candidate will:

Role Overview:

The Muslim Hands Fundraising team is looking for a Creative and Brand Manager. This is a 12-month-opportunity to help shape the visual identity of Muslim Hands and deliver campaigns end-to-end, including the 2026 Ramadan campaign. The role would suit an all-rounder who embraces a multi-disciplinary challenge. You will be leading a small team of Creatives who work closely with the marketing and web team and also get involved in other design projects briefed by other stakeholders in the organisation. This means you need to have a sharp awareness of who is working on what day-to-day, spot deadline clashes and help the team set priorities. You will also get involved in design yourself – so you need to be a versatile and detail-oriented designer who can jump onto any project without much introduction and ask the right questions when there is no clear briefing. Just as Fundraising is a fast-changing environment, the work in the Fundraising team can be fast-paced – we are looking for someone who has experience delivering work in this sort of environment, someone not scared of juggling multiple projects and tricky deadlines.

We have an exciting role as a fundraising officer to join our small but ambitious fundraising team. We are embarking on a significant capital redevelopment, and will raise income through trusts and foundations, individual donations and corporate supporters.

You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Fundraising with timely communications to both supporters and prospective donors, researching potential fundraising opportunities, maintaining the CRM system and reconciling fundraising accounts.

You will be involved in the creation of fundraising campaigns and be required to liaise with team members from across the organisation to gather information to develop them. Fundraising sits within the Income Generation team and you will work closely with the Head of Retail and Enterprise and the Marketing Manager.

To achieve this, STEM Learning provides a range of support which includes subject-specific professional development for teachers and other educators, quality assured resources, STEM Ambassadors programme, and a suite of enhancement and enrichment activities.

Reporting to the Project Lead, the Account Management Officer will manage relationships with STEM Learning’s valued funders while working to ambitious targets, ensuring they have an exceptional experience.

This role will be mostly home-based, with an office day every week at either London (City) or York University (walking distance from York city centre). Travel for meetings will be expensed. The National STEM Learning Centre based at York University is a unique and impressive teacher CPD venue, mirroring the modern classroom and laboratory facilities, as well as housing their inspirational resources centre. 

Key responsibilities for the Account Management Officer role include:

• Stewardship of Funders: Manage and streamline communications with STEM Learning’s growing group of funders.
• Creative Engagement: Develop innovative ways to engage with funders, including strategic partnerships, commercial activities, and employee engagement through the STEM Ambassadors programme.
• Effective Communication: Correspond with funders using creative and engaging methods.
• Creating “Wow” Moments: Build personal connections between funders and STEM Learning’s mission.
• Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective partnership delivery.
• Impact Evidence: Leverage STEM Learning’s impact evidence and collaborate with the Evaluation Team.
• Growth and Renewals: Ensure the growth and renewal of existing partnerships.
• New Partnerships: Work with the Fundraising Development team on pitches and ensure a smooth handover of new wins.

Ideal skills and experience:

• Track record in building and sustaining exceptional relationships with supporters and funders
• Strong organisational skills, enthusiasm and tenacity
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration are a must
• Specialist knowledge of the trends and developments in the sector completed through relevant training is desirable. In the role, you will need to stay up to date on relevant press and industry news.
