The Opportunity
This UK-registered humanitarian charity is committed to breaking cycles of poverty through practical, sustainable and dignified support. Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan to meet income targets and diversify revenue streams.

The Candidate
Minimum 3 years' experience in charity fundraising, with a proven track record of personally securing significant income (c. £200,000+ per annum).
Demonstrable success securing grants from trusts and foundations, including applications for £10,000+ awards.
Experience developing corporate partnerships and cultivating major donors/HNWIs.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive applications, proposals and supporter communications.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines; confident presenting to varied audiences.
Comfortable with data and systems, including CRM use (Salesforce preferred), and a working knowledge of GDPR, Gift Aid and fundraising best practice.

This newly created role will line manage up to four philanthropy managers and lead key projects and income streams for the team, as well as developing senior relationships with key stakeholders across the charity, hospital and UCL. The successful candidate will bring significant major gift fundraising experience, with a demonstrable track record of securing gifts at the six-figure level (£250k+), alongside a strong commitment to excellent stewardship and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders. You'll be an inspiring line manager and a collaborative, solutions-focused fundraiser, able to communicate complex medical projects clearly to non-specialist audiences and thrive in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines. Experience of securing seven-figure gifts and/or fundraising in healthcare/medical research would be welcomed but is not essential.

In 2022, Amber opened their fourth centre for young homeless people, which is just outside of Ashford, Kent. This runs alongside their existing Centres in Devon, Wiltshire and Surrey.
Over the last few years they have been building their reputation locally with funders and supporters and are now seeking an experienced fundraiser to lead on generating further income and opportunities for the centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in helping young homeless people from Kent and the surrounding area. It is a broad role and will suit someone who thrives working with a wide range of people, from major donors to volunteers, and who can fundraise across a range of income streams. You will benefit from an organisation with good connections in Kent, as there are existing relationships to nurture and retain but the ideal candidate will have a drive to create new opportunities in the region.
Amber do great work helping young people to turn their lives around and we are looking for someone who can communicate that to funders and the community with passion. Amber has been working with young homeless people for over 25 years and we have a good idea of what works but we are always striving to learn so that we can offer the very best support to those that need us.
We do not have a 'head office' and this role will need to have a presence at the centre, with the ability to work from home - this could be once or twice a week in terms of Centre visits. We are also open to flexible working arrangements and part time hours considered.

About the role
The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.
This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.
Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. This will include working with the major donor team to identify and develop high-value legacy opportunities and supporting the community engagement team to integrate in-memory and legacy messaging into the community talks programme and engagement activity within the community.
The role also plays a key part in connecting our legacy and in-memory programmes, working with the community engagement team and the Deputy Director to develop a joined up in-memory strategy that ensures a coherent and compassionate supporter experience.

You’ll be an experienced and confident legacy fundraising professional with a passion for building long-term impact. Job Purpose
The Grants & Fundraising Manager will play a lead role in maintaining and growing Umbrella’s income, with a primary focus on grant fundraising and the development of corporate partnerships. Working closely with the CEO, Trustees and staff teams, the post holder will strengthen existing income streams, identify new opportunities, and support the development of Umbrella’s fundraising strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop and maintain a strong pipeline of grant opportunities across trusts, foundations, Lottery, corporate CSR programmes, and statutory funders.
