What we need from you

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Fundraising Intern to join our team from September-December 2025. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fundraising campaigns, school partnerships, and exploring and shaping the future of education!

You will work closely with our Head of Philanthropy to lead the involvement of schools in our fundraising campaign for 2025, which will focus on building the future of education through LEGO! This will feed into the Big Give Campaign, enabling you to learn about campaign management, communications and partnerships development in a supportive, innovative and inspiring team context.

About EduSpots

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-oriented UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips grassroots voluntary educators (named ‘Catalysts’) to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of a world in which communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

Since 2016, through collaborating with over 400 local voluntary community educators and actors – named ‘Catalysts’ – who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’’. Together, we are developing a model for a community-led education space with accompanying network engagement that could have global relevance. 

Our Ghana-based team creates collaborative learning opportunities through three leadership programmes for Catalysts, which are increasingly facilitated by the EduSpots app: the Ignite, Catalyse and Inspire Mentoring Programmes. These enable the Catalysts to lead EduKidz (early years education), DigLit (digital literacy), EcoSTEM (STEM and environmental education), and Ignite Equity (gender equity) clubs for learners typically aged 3-16, alongside locally designed education projects, reaching over 10,000 learners of all ages annually. 

We are in an exciting period of our development, having more than doubled our income, programme breadth and reach in the two years, with a recent independent evaluation by Expectation State offering further evidence in support of our model’s outcomes. We have recently been selected for two accelerator programmes, who are supporting us as we consider the scaling potential of our model.

We won the Tes International Award in 2018 and the Big Give Supporters’ Choice Award in 2022, and we were recently selected as a finalist for the 2023 Their World Scale-Up Innovation Prize. In 2021, our Founder was a Finalist in UNESCO-backed The Varkey Foundation’s $1 million Global Teacher Prize.

Role Overview

As Fundraising Intern, you will:

• Promote our Future of Education LEGO Challenge with schools, students, community groups, universities, and corporates.
• Manage relationships with all those involved in the campaign.
• Offering support with fundraising strategies and EduSpots materials.
• Track income through the challenge, managing a campaign database.
• Support online informational sessions, involving Programmes Team members.
• Supporting the wider fundraising team with research, communications and administrative tasks.

You’ll join a supportive, impact-driven team committed to educational transformation through grassroots leadership and collaboration. You will join organisational professional development sessions and gain direct insight into the running of EduSpots’ community-driven network for future-ready education!

Personal specification

• A strong understanding of how to involve young people in social change projects, with some experience in fundraising.
• Strong communication skills – e.g. written and verbal in English with skills in relationship development and management.
• Strong IT skills – e.g. ability to use Microsoft Office, Google Drive, social media, etc.
• An ability to work highly independently with minimal support, with the proactivity to reach out to team members when necessary
• A genuine interest in learning about education and international development, and communications.
• A team player, willing to listen to others and respond to feedback quickly.
• An ability to use Canva design software is desirable, or else a willingness to learn.
• A genuine passion for making a tangible impact on educational opportunity through this role.
• You will likely have a degree in an area relating to education and/or international development or communications.
• A desire to be part of a supportive and passionate education community, with a specific interest in community-led change.

We would like the selected interns to start immediately and by the start of September. The internship is likely to run from September-December in support of the LEGO Future of Education Campaign, but outstanding interns are given an opportunity to extend their placements.

About Every Future Foundation
Every Future Foundation is an anti-racist education charity committed to eradicating racism in schools. Through programmes like Champions for Change, teacher training, and the Activism Academy, we empower students, educators, and leaders to challenge institutional racism and create inclusive, equitable school environments. Our vision is to eliminate racism from the UK education system.

As we enter a new phase of growth and sustainability under our 3-Year Strategic Plan (2024-2027), we are looking for a passionate, strategic Trustee with fundraising expertise to join our Board.

Role Purpose

The Fundraising Trustee will support the Board and Senior Leadership Team in driving fundraising strategies to secure sustainable income, build key partnerships, and ensure delivery of the organisation's objectives. This role will contribute to expanding our income streams, fostering donor relationships, and strengthening EFF's financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance and Strategic oversight

• Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring alignment with the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan and fundraising goals.
• Provide governance oversight as part of the Board of Trustees, ensuring fundraising activities comply with regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices.
• Support EFF in achieving its financial targets and diversifying income streams, reducing reliance on grant funding.

2. Fundraising Strategy and Development

• Advise on and oversee the implementation of EFF's fundraising strategy, focusing on:
  • Corporate Partnerships: Develop relationships with businesses for financial and in-kind support.
  • Donor Engagement: Identify opportunities to secure major donors and philanthropic supporters.
  • Grant Funding: Support applications for project-based grants, ensuring alignment with funder priorities.
  • Earned Income: Assist in promoting paid training and consultancy services for schools and councils.
  • Mentoring: Providing mentoring and advice to the CEO and senior leadership team on fundraising applications and fundraising activities.
• Use personal networks to identify and cultivate new funding opportunities.
• Provide guidance on donor stewardship, ensuring long-term relationships are maintained and grown.

3. Advocacy and Ambassadorship

• Act as an ambassador for EFF, representing its vision and impact to prospective donors, corporate partners, and funders.
• Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in fundraising meetings and events, helping to articulate a compelling case for support.
• Champion fundraising priorities at Board meetings, offering challenge, advice, and support.

Essential

• Fundraising expertise: Proven experience in fundraising, income generation, or development, particularly within the charity, education, or non-profit sectors.
• Networks and influence: Ability to leverage networks to unlock new funding opportunities and connections.
• Strategic mindset: Understanding of income diversification and sustainable fundraising models, including corporate partnerships, individual giving, and grants.

About the role 

As a Regional Fundraising Volunteer, you will support Rethink Mental Illness in generating income, raising awareness, and building community engagement through local fundraising initiatives. The role will involve event planning and support, and public engagement to help achieve regional fundraising goals. 

You will play a major part in bringing to life regional fundraising activities in line with our “Rethink in the Community" concept and increase regional awareness to generate much needed additional income and amplify the impact of the work Rethink Mental Illness do.

You will receive training and regular supervision to ensure you feel confident in your role.

Whilst this is a home based role, you will occasionally attend events within your region. We're particularly interested in receiving applications from people who live in the following areas:

• Support and assist in organising and participating in local fundraising events.

• Help with event logistics, set-up, and participant engagement to ensure smooth delivery. 

• Take part in local initiatives acquiring donors and do it yourself fundraisers. 

• Increase awareness of the organisation’s work by helping to promote regional fundraising activity. 

• Represent the organisation at schools, community groups, and public events, delivering presentations to inspire support. 

• Communicate with supporters via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings with the fundraising team and supporters to share updates and ideas.

Adventure Ashram is a small but mighty UK-based charity founded by adventurers in 2007. We support life-saving grassroots projects in India, focused on: 

• Combating human trafficking 

• Providing education for vulnerable children 

• Ensuring access to essential healthcare 

We work closely with our local Indian partners to deliver meaningful, sustainable change. Our UK-based operations raise vital funds through adventurous events, innovative campaigns, and international initiatives—most notably our global yoga campaign, Yoga Stops Traffick. 

Role: Trustee – Fundraising Specialist 

We are looking for a new Trustee with significant fundraising experience to help us grow and diversify our income and contribute to our overall strategic direction. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their professional skills to make a lasting impact on vulnerable communities, particularly vulnerable women and children in India.

What we’re looking for 

We welcome applications from individuals with fundraising expertise in one or more of the following areas: 

• Individual Giving & Major Donors 

• Trusts and Foundations 

• Corporate Partnerships 

• Community Fundraising and Events 

• Digital Campaigns and Innovation 

• Fundraising Strategy and Income Development 

Trustee Commitment 

• Board Meetings: 4 per year (weekday evenings, usually online) 

• Committee Involvement: All trustees join one of our committees (Fundraising, Finance, Programme Management), which meet every 2 months 

• Events: Attend 1–2 UK-based Adventure Ashram events per year (where possible) 

• Approximate time commitment: 1–2 hours per week 

We also hope that this new trustee would be open to supporting other trustees and staff in developing their fundraising skills to improve internal capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Events & Community Fundraising Officer (Volunteer) to join our Fundraising team on an unpaid, volunteer basis. This will be remote support, unpaid volunteering on average 8 hours or 1 day per week to drive funding for our International WASH projects.

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.We are looking to expand and diversify our team of volunteers – seeking candidates with knowledge and skills in various fields, and a deep passion for our cause. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Join our team as a Volunteer Events & Community Fundraising Officer, working alongside the Fundraising Manager to develop and expand our community engagement and events portfolio. Play a pivotal role in creating innovative fundraising products, fostering relationships within our local communities, and supporting key fundraising initiatives to drive income growth and supporter engagement. 

ROLE & RESPONSBILITIES  

• Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to design and implement community and events strategies, including the development of new fundraising products and campaigns. 

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, corporate partners, and individual fundraisers to generate new income streams. 

• Develop engaging supporter journeys to inspire memorable experiences, encourage repeat contributions, and deepen supporter loyalty. 

• Support the team in planning and delivering special events, including the annual fundraiser concert, Water Wheel, and other high-profile fundraising activities. 

• Secure new corporate partnerships through sponsorships, Charity of the Year and other award programs, and collaborative fundraising initiatives. 

• Lead and coordinate supporter-led fundraising activities, fostering volunteer involvement and building a vibrant, diverse supporter community aligned with our mission. 

• Assist with planning, promotion, and execution of both EA-organized and third-party fundraising events. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

ESSENTIAL 

Experience: 

• Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing fundraising or sales targets within the charity, nonprofit, or commercial sectors. 

• Proven experience working in supporter-focused environments. 

• Solid project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. 

• Experience working within high-performing teams, including remote working arrangements. 

Skills: 

• Excellent networking and relationship management capabilities. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities. 

• Proficiency in IT tools such as Windows, MS Office, and fundraising databases, particularly Raiser’s Edge (or similar). 

• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills. 

Knowledge: 

• Good understanding of the charity sector, including its challenges and opportunities. 

• Knowledge of regional and corporate fundraising practices. 

• Familiarity with sector legislation and best practices related to fundraising, data protection, health and safety, etc. 

• Deep understanding of EA’s vision, mission, and achievements. 

DESIRABLE: 

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel as needed. 

• Previous experience within the voluntary or charity sector is advantageous. 

COMPETENCIES 

• Proven ability to motivate and influence supporters to meet and exceed fundraising targets. 

• Confident in asking supporters for donations and ongoing support. 

• Skilled in creating compelling, engaging fundraising products. 

• Ability to match supporters' interests with suitable fundraising opportunities to maximize income. 

• Strong organizational skills to effectively allocate time and resources for maximum impact.
