We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Fundraising Officer to help strengthen and grow sustainable income across our network of academies, with a particular focus on Harris Westminster Sixth Form: one of the nation’s highest-performing sixth forms, founded in 2014 and built on the generosity and vision of committed donors.

In this pivotal role, you will help convert strong supporter interest into meaningful, long-term philanthropic partnerships. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you will play a key part in developing and delivering innovative fundraising initiatives that inspire engagement and maximise impact for our students.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The central focus of your role will be fundraising from trusts and foundations and individual donors. This will include prospect research, developing compelling cases for support, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports as well as managing relationships with existing funders to ensure excellent stewardship and long-term partnership.

You will also play an active role in identifying and cultivating new individual supporters, helping to build a pipeline of prospective donors through research, engagement activity and thoughtful relationship management. Working collaboratively across teams, you will ensure fundraising activity is well coordinated, donor-centred and aligned with the wider ambitions of the Harris Federation.

About this role

The Legacy Officer plays a vital role in securing the long-term future of the charity by administering, promoting, and stewarding the charity’s legacy programme, our largest income stream. Legacies are predicted to peak in the next ten years, so this is an exciting time to help us bolster our existing programme, try new and innovative marketing methods to attract new legacy pledgers, and provide ongoing stewardship to legacy pledgers and enquirers, ensuring supporters understand the lasting impact their gift can have on the lives and welfare of working animals across the world. The Legacy Officer will be part of the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships department, working with 5 other team members, and managed by the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the administration of estates in which SPANA has an interest under the guidance of our Legacy Adviser, ensuring compliance with fundraising regulator policies and other legal frameworks. 

Contract, location and salary

Key responsibilities

• Set up records and create case files on Salesforce for all legacy bequests received from solicitors and from notifications of bequests on the Smee and Ford website.
• Record the details of all legacy bequests in the case file on Salesforce.
• Set up a SharePoint folder for the notified legacy bequests.
• Upload all legacy documentation received into the legacy case files on salesforce and into the SharePoint folder.
• Respond to the solicitor or personal executor acknowledging the legacy bequest, thanking the next of kin on behalf of major giving and requesting any further documentation.
• Raise tasks on the salesforce legacy case files as a reminder to follow up with the solicitor or the personal executor as to the progress of the legacy administration.
• Correspond in a timely manner with solicitors and personal executors to enquire into progress of the legacy administration.
• Throughout the legacy administration process update the legacy case files with notes of the correspondence with the solicitor or personal executor.
• On receipt of the legacy income complete the documentation requested by the solicitor and close the legacy case file on Salesforce.
• Escalate any issues identified to the Finance Business Partner Income.

AMMF is the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to raising awareness of and funding research into cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).  The charity works closely throughout the UK with clinicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers, patients and their carers, as well as actively collaborating across Europe and globally.  

The role of the Fundraising Support and Admin Officer is to deliver high quality, responsive fundraising support across all areas of fundraising, and to drive forward AMMF’s fundraising activities, strategy and relationship development with supporters and funding partners, including the development and use of social media, and Microsoft Office, to achieve this.

2. Competent with Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and with emailing services such as Mailchimp, virtual meeting platforms Teams and Zoom, and social media platforms, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, and Hootsuite.

Stewardship:

• Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required. 

• Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.

Operational and administrative support:

• Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM

• Oversee stock management, ensuring our supporter store availability reflects current stock levels and being responsible for co-ordinating timely restocking.

• Run daily checks of the supporter store to ensure order fulfilment can be carried out.

The Legacy Case Officer is responsible for the professional administration of a substantial portfolio of UK estates in which the charity is a beneficiary. Managing approximately half of the charity’s active UK caseload, you will ensure gifts left in Wills are realised efficiently, compliantly and in line with the charity’s values. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in estate administration, probate casework or legacy management, with working knowledge of UK probate processes and estate documentation.

• Professional qualification or study toward CiCLA, LMAP, STEP, a law degree or equivalent.

• Experience managing residuary or contentious estates and understanding legacy income recognition in a charity context.

This organisation is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those who care for them. As the Fundraising & Stewardship Officer, you will be responsible for supporting fundraising and supporter engagement across all income streams. About the Role

The Upper Room (TUR) works with individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, social exclusion and involvement with the criminal justice system. Through UR4Meals, UR4Driving and UR4Jobs, we provide practical support, dignity and opportunity to some of the most disadvantaged members of our community in West London.

TUR anticipates an annual income of approximately £725,000 in 2026/27, with around 57% generated through trusts and foundation grants. We have strong, established relationships with the majority of our funders, including a number of multi-year grants already in place.

We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to lead, shape and grow our income generation activity at a pivotal time for the organisation. This role is responsible for securing and sustaining the funding required to meet growing demand across our services.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead on trusts and foundations and community fundraising initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping strategy while also delivering high-quality funding applications and maintaining strong funder relationships.

About the Role
