We are seeking a proactive, dynamic IT professional to support in the development and maintenance of our information and digital systems. About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will promote and increase engagement with the Humberside ABC Service. The Humberside ABC service will provide services to anyone affected by crime and as an Engagement Officer you will work alongside our team to enhance the offer we provide by managing volunteers, promoting the service and working with our partners including the police.

As an Engagement Officer you will be responsible for:

• Recruiting and managing a diverse team of volunteers including Criminal Justice Champions (CJCs)
• Promoting the work of the service through events and presentations
• Providing training and awareness sessions to partner agencies including Humberside Police
• Maintaining and developing our online presence including updating website information and controlling our social media accounts
• Income generation and identifying fundraising opportunities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is motivated, engaging and innovative. You will play an integral part in developing and embedding our Criminal Justice Champion (CJC) and Victim Friendly Organisation (VFO) programmes across Humberside to ensure that victims have a voice within the criminal justice system and organisations are promoting victim's rights and voices.

You will attend events, network with other agencies and develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external colleagues, community groups and other identified audiences. This means that although the role is home-based, regular travel is required within Humberside and occasionally across the wider region.

We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children. 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining.

The Role

The development and growth of Men’s Sheds is made possible through a network of volunteers and partnerships across the UK. 

These roles will develop new Sheds across the East Midlands and North of England., coordinate and manage partnerships with other organisations and charities to support the growth and development of the movement.  This role has the focus to support the growth of new and development of new Men’s Sheds, enhancing our reach and the reach of Sheds.  Our partnerships underpin the development programmes for the charity. 

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. They will be required to deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence and assist in the overall management of the organisation. As part of the management team the role demands a high level of flexibility, initiative and commitment. The role also involves working with the Chief Officer to design and improve our monitoring, evaluation and learning across the organisation in line with our new strategy.

The Director of Operations will have lead responsibility for overseeing the day to day operations and coordinating external partnerships and relationships. Operational oversight includes the two core pillars of work:-

Whichever Programme you lead, you will have experience of:

· Leading complex multi-partner and stakeholder programmes in the VCSE or public sector

· Leading large programmes including programme management, governance, monitoring, impact measurement and reporting

· Working in an evolving strategic and operational environment and able to maintain and direct impactful programmes through periods of change

· Building and delivering communication strategies, using learning and insight to drive transformation

· Leadership and people management

· Co-production, collaboration and partnership working

· Working in a team to support the delivery of team objectives

About the Organisation

As the Director of Development and Innovation you will be responsible for leading strategic development activities, working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to identify new opportunities, and overseeing the implementation of innovative solutions that align with our mission and objectives.

This role requires a creative thinker with a strong background in product and business development, project management, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for making a positive impact in the health and care sector.

You will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to develop and enhance all aspects of our work to increase our impact and reach and shape the future direction of the organisation as a whole.

Home based with a UK-wide remit and some travel including overnight stays required.
