The team is seeking a Grants & Programmes Coordinator to support the development and delivery of the Grants & Programmes function. They will act as first point of contact for the Grants & Programmes team; assist with administration of grants, the maintenance of data, produce reports; develop blogs and case studies; and manage travel for team and grantee events.

The Role

Sitting within the High Value Engagement Team – comprising Trusts and Statutory, Philanthropy, Bids and Tenders, and Corporate Partnerships – the Trusts and Philanthropy Officer will build relationships with loyal and prospective donors, raising vital funds to power the Association’s work to support more people affected by stroke.

You will report into the Trusts and Grants Manager, with key responsibilities including:

· Raising income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets.

· Managing a portfolio of low- and mid-value trusts and foundations: working with internal colleagues to develop and prepare bespoke funding applications and reports.

· Managing the Small Trust Mailing programme (raising c.£80k/year).

· Prospect research: identifying and researching promising new donor prospects.

· Supporting the Philanthropy Team with prospecting, cultivation and stewardship of Major Donors, as needed.

An estimated 172 million children in India are considered ‘at-risk’ from various forms of harm and exploitation. The Child Opportunity Fund’s goal is to create more safe spaces to ensure that millions of children can live their lives to the fullest potential. To achieve this, they are aiming to raise $25m which will be matched by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, totalling a $50m fund.

We are looking for an exceptional philanthropic fundraising leader, with experience of leading an appeal and first-hand programme management skills, to undertake a one year maternity cover as the Interim Head of Child Opportunity Appeal. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the appeal, working collaboratively with the team to reach their significant fundraising targets across HNWIs, trusts, institutional funders and corporate partners.

About the role

• coordinate internal working groups as well as external senior volunteers to ensure a consistent and aligned approach to fundraising and new donor engagement;

Programme Delivery Officer role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Programmes Team as a Programme Delivery Officer. PDOs will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up 50 schools, ensuring smooth running of the programme, plus providing guidance and troubleshooting for the lead teachers at First Give partner schools.

The role will be hybrid, with 3 days a week in our main offices in West Hampstead, London. Regular travel to schools across London and the South East will be required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:

This role joins our Fundraising Team to inspire members and donors to support Surfers Against Sewage and protect the ocean.

Leading our membership, donor development, and legacy programmes, you’ll help raise +£3mil in total each year as a team, to fund our ocean-saving campaigns. You’ll develop and deliver the membership programme, ensuring members feel valued as an integral part of the SAS community, and communicate the impact of their support.

Taking an insight-led approach, and working closely with our Senior IG & Supporter Engagement Officer (Acquisition), you’ll ensure new members and donors have an exceptional onboarding journey, as well as ongoing stewardship. You’ll also work together to plan and deliver annual appeals, collaborating and coordinating with teams across the charity to raise significant unrestricted income.

You’ll nurture relationships with our legacy pledgers, in-memory and mid-value donors, both reactively and at key moments throughout the year. And in the longer term, you’ll continue developing and marketing our legacy offering.

Individual Giving Officer – Acquisition

Do you have Individual Giving experience, particularly in Lottery, Regular Giving or cash recruitment?

If so, Sue Ryder has a fantastic opportunity to be our new Individual Giving Officer – Acquisition, helping to deliver the acquisition programme across Individual Giving, Regular Giving and Lottery at Sue Ryder.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Acquisition Manager you will work as part of the Individual Giving Team, recruiting new donors and maximising income across a variety of direct marketing campaigns and activities, supporting on a variety of projects across Individual Giving; including Face to Face, direct mail, email, digital, and telephone campaigns, including work on the national fundraising Lottery.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend our Euston office once a week, although there is some flexibility around this for the right candidate.

Key Knowledge and Experience

• Experience of managing external agency relationships

• Experience of working with databases - Raisers Edge

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including advanced Excel experience

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience of managing third party supplier relationships

• Experience of developing compelling marketing materials and copy for print, web and social media

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivery of multi-channel direct, telemarketing and digital marketing campaigns; to include briefing in new products, managing timings, campaign budgets, collating feedback and approval from key stakeholders, liaising with suppliers and ensuring materials are compliant and on-brand

• Work with the Individual Giving Acquisition Manager to forecast income and expenditure for campaigns and ensure spend remains within budget.

• Manage all aspects of effective and inspiring welcome Journeys. Reviewing data, cancellations and implementing communications to reduce attrition accordingly

• Responsible for Acquisition telemarketing campaigns, including delivery of fundraiser training, campaign briefing, day to day agency management and overseeing compliance

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this post plays a key role in securing and stewarding major gifts from individuals and private trusts and foundations. You will be managing and actively developing existing donors, as well as proactively identifying and cultivating new donor opportunities. The role will involve attending cultivation and stewardship events as well as liaising with the prospect research function and wider Philanthropy team. You will also be responsible for managing and developing one Philanthropy Officer.

About you:

The successful candidate will be an effective face-to-face fundraiser with experience of securing high value donations and managing the full lifecycle of significant donor relationships.

You will be highly motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and financial targets, with excellent communication and people management skills. Strong administrative and organisational skills are essential for this role.

We are a multi-award winning, creative and innovative organisation with an exciting vacancy to lead War Child UK’s Institutional funding to ensure growth in our restricted funding portfolio. Bringing a strong network of partners, donor relationships and understanding of donor trends, you will play a vital role in reviewing and improving the quality of War Child’s institutional fundraising in the UK and work with our Programmes teams to diversify the scope and scale of new donors and grants. Building on our existing portfolio with FCDO, you will be responsible for the identification and the management of strategic relationships with UK-based institutional donors, primarily the FCDO and institutional foundations. You will maximise the new opportunities brought by the creation of the War Child Alliance and the expansion of our country of operations to help position the organisation for innovative grants and contracts directly with donors and indirectly through consortia.

The main task of the Institutional Funding Lead is to secure funding from UK-based institutional donors. Your primary focus will be the FCDO. You will drive forward dynamic and proactive engagement strategies directly with UK-based institutional donors and indirectly through consortia. The post holder will also develop and support organisational positioning for contracts and grants. This role will introduce innovative and agile funding approaches and models to enhance War Child UK’s competitiveness in a complex donor environment.

If you have the following qualities, we'd love to hear from you:

• Substantial experience of co-creating, leading, and coordinating complex proposal development processes directly and remotely – ideally for relevant donors including FCDO and humanitarian pooled funds
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, with an up-to-date knowledge of relevant donors including FCDO, and humanitarian pooled funds
• Experience in building networks, partnerships, and consortia to maximise programme impact and funding opportunities
• The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a way that leads to increased impact for the organisation, and to spot and create opportunities with institutional foundations effectively and facilitate increasing access to funding for War Child’s work 
• Ability to analyse the donor environment and identify trends, anticipate changes, be comfortable to deal with a large number of elements interacting in diverse and unpredictable ways
• Good knowledge regarding current development and trends in the (international) aid sector
• Experience in leading and delivering donor engagement strategies in the humanitarian sector across multiple countries - ideally in fragile, conflict-affected settings, similar to where War Child operates
• Ability to travel occasionally
