Age International are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Development and Funding Manager.
Working within our Programme Development and Funding Team, this role offers variety, and a chance to make a meaningful contribution to our work with, and for older people around the world.
The post-holder will work closely with partners globally, across the programme funding cycle, from the design and development of projects to contract management and reporting. They will also support Age International to build relations and secure funding from a wide range of institutional donors, and to manage one of our key donor portfolios. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of working with and securing funds from large UK and European trusts and foundations.
This role focuses on helping secure funds for projects which align with our core thematic priorities: healthy ageing, secure incomes, combatting ageism, and inclusive humanitarian action. This is not just about securing funding however, and the post-holder will also be a focal point for one of Age International's strategic areas of focus, helping to share and promote thematic learning across the organisation, and with our partners.
We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of three days per month. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Main purpose of post
As Digital Marketing and Social Media Officer, you will play a vital role in
growing the online presence of Weston Park Cancer Charity and deepening
engagement with supporters, clients, and the wider public, ensuring our
message reaches the right audiences in the most effective ways.
You’ll have prime responsibility for managing our social media channels,
supporting the rest of our Marketing team to create digital content and
campaigns that raise awareness, promote fundraising, and share the stories of
those we support.
This is a hands-on, creative role that would suit someone passionate about
social media, digital marketing, and making a difference in the lives of others.
This role will:
• Support the develop of and implement social media strategies to
increase engagement, reach and donations.
• Have prime responsibility for the charity’s social media channels
(Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok), ensuring consistent,
engaging, and mission-led content – planning, scheduling and
publishing content.
• Manage the digital marketing content calendar and coordinate content
with the Marketing team.
• Create a variety of digital content, including graphics, videos, reels,
stories, blogs, and animations.
• Monitor and, where appropriate, respond to, and engage with followers
and messages, providing a warm and professional tone, ensuring
messaging is in line with the Weston Park Cancer Charity tone of voice.
• Coordinate paid social media campaigns using Meta Business Suite.
• Track performance metrics and provide reports on engagement, growth,
and reach, making recommendations for improvements
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create, develop and execute
digital marketing campaigns for awareness, fundraising, and service
promotion.
• Assist with keeping the charity’s website content up to date
• Assist with email marketing campaigns and manage the charity’s regular
e-newsletter using tools such as Mailchimp.

About the role
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join our fundraising marketing team to deliver sector-leading fundraising campaigns. Working collaboratively with the wider fundraising marketing team, this person plays a key role in the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, which successfully drive multiple millions of pounds of income. Your work will be instrumental in raising money to ensure we can provide vital physical, emotional and financial support for people living with cancer.
As a team, we are responsible for the marketing and project management of several large-scale fundraising campaigns, including Macmillan’s Coffee Morning, Brave the Shave, Longest Day Golf Challenge, Go Sober and the Macmillan Lottery. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale projects, to ensure the team achieves its ambitious fundraising objectives. The role is a great opportunity to continue to develop as a marketing professional in a large charity context.
A typical week in this role might involve:
- Delivering key campaign actions, like brief writing, artwork review and approval, results reporting and optimisation
- Holding a weekly catch up with a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Executive to ensure they are delivering their key campaign actions to agreed schedules. This could include answering questions, helping resolve issues or helping them to understand or develop a marketing skill
- Leading a weekly call with an external agency partner, to agree key actions and keep a project on track
- Reviewing campaign performance, reporting internally and identifying optimisations
- Preparing for and attending monthly development meetings with your line manager
- Writing an objective for a Marketing Assistant working on your campaign, or providing feedback to support their upcoming review
About you

The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping the RES achieve its strategic goals by developing, building and sustaining partnerships to deliver external funding. The individual will manage existing relationships, identify opportunities, lead bid writing, develop compelling funding proposals, and build relationships with funders, partners, and philanthropic donors.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and bid development
- Identify and secure new sponsorship and partnerships opportunities to support existing RES activities
- Seek funding for new activities in line with the Society’s goals.
- Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective partners including funding bodies, trusts and foundations, sponsors, major donors, corporates, universities and others.
- Write high-quality, persuasive funding bids and proposals, working with RES staff, trustees, and partner organisations.

Person Specification
Essential Skills
- Proven experience of successful fundraising, bid writing or business development, preferably in a learned society, research organisation, professional body or in higher education.
- Understanding of impact and outcomes-based funding models (e.g. theory of change), and how to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.
- Ability to support the development of budgets for funding bids and to track/report against income target.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive funding bids, cases for support, and briefing materials.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly organised administrator to support our Fundraising team.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Harris Federation’s impactful fundraising efforts through vital administrative assistance. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and other team members, you will help celebrate and acknowledge our donors by crafting thoughtful reports and heartfelt communications. Your contributions will ensure donors feel valued through timely updates, expressions of gratitude and meaningful engagement.
You will also establish and maintain an efficient system to manage our donation records, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and appreciated.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to the Fundraising, Partnerships and Alumni department of the Harris Federation
- Supporting the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and colleagues with donor reporting, including managing invoices, preparing thank-you communications, providing timely updates and sending reports to funders
- Maintaining an accurate database and systems to manage donation records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Coordinating and tracking fundraising activities, deadlines and events to support the smooth operation of campaigns
- Assisting with scheduling meetings, managing calendars and organising internal and external communications
- Supporting the preparation of fundraising proposals, presentations and other documentation as required

About the role
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to develop and drive Iswe’s income generation strategy and grow a high-performing fundraising team.
This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident enough to lead the function with minimal oversight, but still eager to be hands-on. You will bring a good understanding of the climate, democracy, and systems change funding landscape, ideally along with existing funder relationships. About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and friendly Supporter Services Assistant to join our dedicated Fundraising Operations team at the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC). You’ll be the first point of contact for DEC supporters and the wider public, providing responsive, respectful and professional care that reflects our values.

About You
You are a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail, who thrives on delivering great service and ensuring data accuracy. You enjoy working in a team and have the self-motivation to manage your own workload effectively.
You may already have experience in customer service or administration. Most importantly, you’re someone who values high standards and is motivated to support DEC’s humanitarian mission.
You will have:

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries by phone, email, and post
- Ensure accurate donor records and communication preferences are maintained in Salesforce
- Process donations and generate acknowledgements and thank-you letters
- Support donation coding and financial reconciliation with the Finance and Fundraising teams
- Assist with the onboarding and coordination of temporary staff and volunteers
- Provide general administrative support across the Fundraising & Marketing team
- Contribute to team projects, internal meetings, and continuous improvement of supporter services
