In 2022, we transitioned from a single therapy option to a whole family, community-based model which provides a more accessible and comprehensive approach to support, whilst reducing wait times by 63%. Though we deliver a local service, our work is influencing the national response to child sexual abuse. We provide national training on pre-trial therapy and survivor-led leadership programmes. It is an exciting time to join us as we establish our new service model, deliver a new strategy and look to increase both our local and national visibility. Purpose of the job
The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to break the silence and create systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside national social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.
The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.
This is an exciting time to join the Green House VOICE Project, we have just secured national funding for the first time and are looking for a Senior VOICE Practitioner to lead development and expansion of the programme.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Lead on delivery of the Young People’s VOICE Groups (6 weekly), working with the VOICE Practitioner to support young people to develop group/individual projects and campaigns within each group cycle.
2. Lead on the development of the Parent/Carer VOICE group, co-producing with Parents/Carers and the Senior Leadership Team a new approach to the (currently) monthly programme.
3. Collaborate with the Family Support Team and Therapy Team to deliver regular drop-in spaces for Parents/Carers (“Turn-Up Tuesdays”) and Nature-Based Therapy drop-in spaces (“NBT Drop In”).
4. Lead on the delivery and expansion of CSA Practitioner network for wider professionals, creating opportunities to connect young people’s groups together nationally.
5. Work with the Head of Fundraising and Trustee Board to develop and deliver a quarterly co-production group of young people and parents who can support operational delivery/development of the Green House.
6. Lead on the development of a theory of change for the VOICE Project, working with the VOICE Practitioner, young people, parents/carers and SLT.
7. Work with the Research Manager and VOICE Practitioner to develop our approach to outcome monitoring and evaluation of the VOICE Project.
8. Lead on project management of the VOICE Project, including weekly team meetings, project plans, annual revision of associated documentation e.g., manuals, session plans. Working collaboratively with and taking responsibility for line management of the VOICE Practitioner.
9. Coordinate on VOICE young people led activism campaigns, working with the Communications Officer and Head of Fundraising and Communications towards the delivery of two campaigns per year.
10. Conduct Initial Meetings for young people and parent/carer’s looking to join the VOICE Project – supporting the wider TGH team with recruitment reminders/approaches e.g., attending Family Support/Therapy Team meetings (where appropriate).
11. Develop relationships with our local and national partners to enable effective changemaking for young people and parents/carers.
12. Assess risk and report safeguarding concerns in line with the Green House Policies, main up-to-date safeguarding training, and stay informed on relevant legislation about child sexual abuse and procedures.
13. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all sessions and family contacts, ensuring timely documentation using internal systems e.g., Oasis. 14. Support wider Green House service development, participate in supervision, clinical supervision and training, adhere to Green House policies, and contribute to team communication and operational improvements.

Job description – Cara Funding and Communications Manager
This is a critical time to join our dedicated team as we expand our work in response to the growing risk to academics and universities worldwide. Building on our 93 years of experience and partnerships with 135 UK university, this role provides an excellent opportunity for a dynamic fundraiser to grow our support from individual and organisations.
Line Manager: Chief Executive
Objective: The Funding and Communications Manger leads on the delivery of our fundraising strategy to diversify and grow Cara’s income streams.
Hours: Full-time. Eight hours each day Monday – Friday, with flexible working by arrangement around core hours of 10am – 4pm.
Location: Hybrid working - in London office in Elephant and Castle SE1 (2-3 set days per week) and working from home on the remaining days.
Role purpose - responsible for executing fundraising strategy to generate increased income for Cara’s work - identify and cultivate potential donors, manage fundraising events and campaigns, and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations.
Detailed responsibilities:
· Fundraising Strategy and business plan:
Work closely with the Chief Executive to review and adapt our fundraising strategy and business plan and produce analytics to review performance by income type and to help set stretching and achievable targets and improvement plans for each income stream. Implement and develop fundraising plans, including initiation and management of campaigns. Take responsibility for developing new income streams and products including alumni and legacy giving.
· Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors, including individuals, major donors, and foundations. Work with the Cara team to ensure effective relationship management across all donors and lead on donor identification for all income streams. Identify opportunities for pro bono support in support of the Cara strategy.
· Event Management:
Organize and manage fundraising events, ensuring successful execution and high engagement with our target audiences. This includes a schedule of location-based university engagement events (up to twelve per year) to engage existing individual donors, build awareness of Cara’s work, and cultivate new individual donors. Collaborate with contacts at each university to plan, deliver and follow up on each event. Lead on other key Cara events including the annual science and civilisation lecture to ensure that these build the Cara brand.
· Data Management for donor stewardship:
Maintain accurate donor records (on salesforce) and build and maintain fundraising databases for individuals and organisational donors to manage engagement throughout the donor journey. Maintain a view of Cara’s pipeline income to support the work of the Cara management team and reports to support accountability and trustee engagement including return on investment for each income stream.
· Communication:
Prepare and distribute fundraising materials, including appeals, newsletters, social media content, and articles for the website. Develop a range of case-studies profiling the work of Cara (including programmes, university partners, and individual academics). Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive to build the Cara brand through co-ordination of Cara’s presence at events and through priority digital channels.
· Proposal writing
Lead on proposal writing for major donors and philanthropic funding. Collaborate with colleagues on larger grants taking responsibility to overall proposal quality and timely submission. Ensure that the team work to agreed standards on all written reports and proposals to donors.
· Compliance:
Adhering to fundraising regulations, such as those outlined by the Fundraising Regulator, and ensuring that all fundraising activities are ethical and legal. Develop policies and practices to manage risk including appropriate due diligence and gift acceptance policies.
· Trends
Stay up to date on signals and trends in fundraising relevant to Cara’s work and use these to inform our business planning and risk/opportunity management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven success implementing effective strategies to raise income from a range of donors with a focus on major donors.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to effectively communicate with donors including senior staff at universities.
· Strong writing and presentation skills: Developing winning proposals and presentations. Experience ranging from individual regular donors to six figure grants.
· Project management and organizational skills: Managing fundraising projects and campaigns effectively.

They will also understand how to use and manipulate CRM systems to help inform fundraising and communication campaigns. This role will be central to growing the charity’s e-marketing functionality. Your Role as a Fundraiser for Hope for Southall Street Homeless
You will secure £210,000 p.a. to cover the running costs of HSSH. This will include the salaries of five staff, grant-funding for emergency/ temporary accommodation for guests who wish to return to their home country (currently covered by a Government grant at 100%) and other running costs (eg insurance) and overheads (eg Third Sector body fees).
Your responsibilities will include :
Trusts
- To conduct an initial audit of existing Trust and Foundation donors to maintain and maximise potential income from these donors.
- To carry out prospect research using Fundsonline and other established Trust directories to identify new prospective donors.
- To establish a calendar-based pipeline showing submitted and planned applications, with required updates (including scheduled date, name, projected amount, and next action), to ensure timely and targeted applications and follow-up communications with donors (both existing and prospective).
- To monitor and respond to local and wider appropriate grant opportunities.
Corporates
- To scope local and wider district and borough opportunities for corporate partnerships, starting with warm contacts and existing donor networks.
- To build natural, face-to-face, contact and foster deep relationships with new corporate partners.
- To maintain a pipeline (as above) of corporate donors, prospects, communications, and planned approaches.
Community / Individuals
- To work with local community organisations and individuals, including those already engaged with/interested in HSSH and others, to raise awareness of the service, increase existing support, and generate new forms of support.
- To represent/showcase the work of HSSH through local events and forums, emphasising the need for, and the impact of, the service.
- In cooperation with the Social Media Management Group, to produce/ contribute to shared material/social posts profiling HSSH’s work and value, to the community, borough and wider bodies relative to our work.
- To prepare bespoke, scheduled, direct mail requests to individual donors, in the form of letters and e-mails.
- To maintain an up-to date information resource covering the issues relevant to local rough sleepers and migrants, to inform and evidence HSSH services.
Who We Are Hope for Southall Street Homeless (HSSH) is a charity founded in 2015 to provide a permanent night shelter in Southall. The need for this was identified by the Churches in Southall Leadership Team – at the time part of the wider Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter initiative – due to the high number of rough sleepers in Southall, at the time, over 31% of all Ealing’s rough sleepers.
HSSH is embedded in the multi-ethnic, multi-faith community of Southall and reflects that diversity in its Board of Trustees.

As Individual Giving Manager, you will lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of the charity’s three major annual appeals. The Cardinal’s Appeal, The Priest Training Fund Appeal and The Sick & Retired Priests Appeal. This is a multifaceted role that will require strong project management skills with strong Marketing and Communications skill set.
The postholder will organise and manage the events associated with these appeals, ensuring effective promotion, engagement, and delivery. You will also support and deliver additional ad hoc fundraising events as required. This is a full-time, permanent role, hybrid, based in Westminster.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have previous experience of delivering fundraising activities or alternatively previous experience of events management and marketing. With excellent project management skills, you will be able to deliver on marketing projects ensuring quality of output and under budgets and agreed timescales. You will be comfortable in using data sets and CRM systems as well as developing strong relationships with donors and prospects. Excellent interpersonal awareness and communication skills with the ability to listen and understand the needs of others is essential for this role.
