Fundraising Prospect Development Manager Jobs in London, Greater London

We are currently recruiting for a Patrons Manager to join our Development team on a full time permanent basis. 

The Development team is responsible for securing significant revenue income from a variety of public, private and commercial funding sources to support the ambitions of Southbank Centre, in close collaboration with all internal departments and external partners. The Patrons Manager role sits within the Philanthropy team which focuses on those gifts from individual donors, usually in excess of £5,000. They manage regular giving schemes such as our Patrons and our Commissioning Committee as well as leading on soliciting restricted major gifts for particular projects.

The successful candidates will work across a variety of responsibilities which includes but are not limited to:

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with the capacity to give gifts of £5,000 and above with a focus on their individual motivations for giving, stewarding them and soliciting them according to their interests and Southbank Centre’s priorities.
• Secure regular giving from Patrons and Commissioning Committee by communicating effectively and engaging them with our work, while also developing bespoke opportunities for these donors to give beyond their annual subscriptions.
• Develop strategies to grow support for Southbank Centre from major donors including identifying new networks and presenting Southbank Centre’s work in compelling ways.
• Meet financial targets, maintain financial records and regularly review portfolio to update forecasts and budgets and identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage the Events Assistant to ensure we deliver high quality cultivation and stewardship experiences for donors and prospects which illuminate the impact of Southbank Centre’s programme.

Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors (London) - £29,000  per annum plus London Weighting (pro-rata)

This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. This is a unique opportunity not only to help grow charitable giving, but to also work closely with those member charities (close to 200) who rely on gifts in Wills to continue their vital work.

Key Accountabilities

· To maintain and update records on Remember A Charity’s CRM database and E-Comms mailing lists for charities, legal supporters and partner organisations. To run CRM reports as required.

· To assist with the onboarding of new joiner charities and legal sector supporters.

· To use the website content management system (CMS) to build member charity and legal sector supporter online profiles; and to make any amends to these profiles and other website pages as required.

· To manage the central In-Box and respond to all enquiries or signpost to the relevant team member.

· To co-ordinate the programme of rolling annual membership renewal and new-joiner invoicing, including credit control of all invoices.

· To prepare monthly engagement report  collating key activity metrics for members and legal sector supporters

Job Description

Communications:     

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues
• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach.
• Oversee the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc.

​Main purpose of the post 

We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Coordinator to join a wider team that spearheads RUSI’s research fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director, Research Business Development, the successful candidate will enhance the institute’s business development activities by providing administrative and coordination support for business development, contracts, and risk management. Working closely with research groups, central services teams, and the senior management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that RUSI is well-placed to spot and respond to new funding opportunities and that our contracts are high-quality and executed efficiently. 

This is a highly collaborative role that involves building very strong internal relationships at all levels of the organisation and managing competing priorities and deadlines. We are seeking a team player with a pragmatic and positive attitude and excellent attention to detail, who will enjoy taking on new challenges, using your initiative to solve problems, and seeing your work directly contribute to meeting our short- and long-term goals.

​Key tasks 

Tracking, identifying, and sharing new funding opportunities:  

• Conduct research to identify potential funders and grant opportunities, populate and maintain a prospects tracker. Ensure we have an accurate and current map of relevant funders at all times to draw from.

• Manage the Business Development email inbox, ensuring we are registered to all relevant portals and that we are regularly checking funder portals that do not send notifications. Share summaries of relevant opportunities with the BD Director along with suggested dissemination plan, agree next steps and follow up with appropriate Research Groups.

• Support research colleagues to identify funders to invite to RUSI events and draft outreach emails.

Providing administrative and coordination support on bids, contracts, and new business activities: 

• Assist the Bids Manager with compiling information about RUSI as an organisation, its registrations, policies, organisational structure, banking and insurance details, financial information, and other generic details to be included in bid submissions and for due diligence. 

• Support the Bids Manager/Director of Research Business Development with administration and coordination of specific components on large bids.

Maintaining and improving business development processes and systems: 

• Ensure the business development team trackers (action log, new funding opportunities etc.) are accurate and up to date. 

• Work closely with RUSI’s Legal and Contracts and Finance teams to finalise funder contracts and ensure that final copies are saved centrally, and key information is distributed to relevant teams. Ensure that relevant and accurate funder information is tracked by the finance system for ongoing analysis. 

• Review drafts of subcontractor agreements and work closely with RUSI’s Legal and Contracts team to manage the process for preparing, securing approval, finalising, and sharing sub-contracts. 

• Act as central point of contact for the research funding pipeline, ensure it is functioning as needed and respond to ad hoc questions.

• Manage the team’s Sharepoint page, ensuring that it is useful and relevant for research colleagues, with high-quality templates and guidance.

• In coordination with colleagues on the Communications team, update RUSI’s customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate, relevant and up-to-date funder information and develop and promote best practice for CRM usage for BD.

• Update RUSI funders on the website annually, ensuring that they are accurate and that we have appropriate permissions to acknowledge them publicly.

• Assist in preparing training materials and internal presentations, including by conducting data analysis. 

• Schedule regular catch ups with research groups, take and share notes in appropriate formats, update trackers. 

• Take accurate and useful minutes and share and follow up on action points after Business Development meetings.

• Establish strong working relationships with research teams, central service teams, and senior management.

• Assist with administrative tasks for the business development team as needed, including setting up tech (Zoom/Teams) meetings, coordinating diaries, and booking meetings.

Managing the institutional Risk Management process:  

• Be responsible for ensuring that risk registers are maintained and updated across the Institute to track risk within the organisation.

• Attend all Audit & Risk Committee meetings to update members on changes to the risk register, and take minutes for each meeting. 

• Work with the COO and Business Development team to ensure that RUSI has in place all policies and procedures across the Institute that are required by funders on various projects. 

• Assist the COO in keeping up to date with all Charity Commission guidance on charity operations and compliance.

• Professional experience in charity administration, business development, customer service, events management, account management or similar.

• Previous experience in grants administration or project management. 

• Basic knowledge and awareness of common requirements for bid submissions including such items as statements on duty of care, quality assurance, supply chain management, gender, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

• Experience in contract administration and completion. 

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent in business, international relations, or related field.

We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Data and IT team. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned IT projects within the charity. The LSO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Partnerships Executive (New Business) to lead on identifying and engaging with a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters, in liaison with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and Director of Development to develop new sponsorship opportunities, taking into account current corporate priorities and sector trends. This role is initially on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, with the potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and engaging a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters
 

• Research and identify possible corporate partners for the LSO, preparing updates to discuss with the wider LSO Corporate Development team 
• Lead on initial contact with cold prospects, securing introductory meetings for the LSO, preparing briefings and attending meetings with a colleague from the Development team 
• Identify possible corporate supporters for particular areas of the LSO’s work, including Barbican concerts, international tours, accessible ticket schemes, education and community projects, major fundraising galas, as well as broader initiatives such as improving sustainability and fulfilling the LSO’s DEI plan
• Utilise LSO concerts at the Barbican and other LSO events to attract new prospects, ensuring that all leads are thoroughly progressed
• Work within the Corporate Development team to develop ongoing cultivation plans for the most promising contacts and prepare compelling proposals as needed, and maintain prospect planning within a wider corporate fundraising strategy
• Work with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop new opportunities for support, and build a strong prospect pipeline, taking into account current sponsorship and corporate support trends 
• Keep abreast of trends in corporate partnerships in the arts and the broader charity sector to ensure the LSO continues to offer competitive packages
