This is an exciting new role within the marketing team. Reporting to the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager, you will enable effective communication with our supporters and build a strong connection with them by placing supporter care at the heart of our work, while also engaging potential new supporters.

You will work closely with colleagues to deliver engaging content that is relevant and resonates with the person receiving it. You will be responsible for the build, testing and sending of all supporter journeys and campaigns across different channels. You will combine the ability to manage the technical side of maintaining our CRM system to ensure records are up-to-date and correct, while also building automated supporter email journeys.

Director of Movement Building role description (0.8 FTE)

• Lead the organisation’s movement building approach, seeking long-term transformational change to our financial system and wider economy through building the power of individuals, churches and Christian networks, as part of a wider social movement for a more just and sustainable future.
• Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.
• Identify and deliver learning and action opportunities, including around how individuals and churches use their own money and on tax justice. Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.
• Develop and maintain a reasonable level of expertise in areas including ethical finance, an overview of the financial system, Christian ethics, and adult/ lay education.
• Along with the ED, be an external face of the organisation, positioning JustMoney Movement as a leading voice on issues of faith and finance, through speaking engagements, media interviews, and developing strategic collaborations to broaden reach and deepen engagement.

The Finance Officer will be involved in all aspects of the charity’s financial operations, this is a very broad role. From handling small donations like a child’s pocket money right up to processing large grants.  You will be the first point of call for financial queries and questions arising from our team. You will process purchase and sales invoices, volunteer, and staff expenses.  You will support grant and other fundraising applications, process donations from a variety of different platforms, deal with gift aid and banking. You will need to be an analytical problem solver able to work on your own and as part of our team.

The Purpose of the role

The Finance Officer is responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the financial management of BCFB.

· Provide sound technical and professional advice to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and others.

Key tasks and responsibilities

 Financial Management

Accountancy and Bookkeeping Systems

Maintenance of all accounting records on an ongoing basis to include:

· Manage all income and expenditure processing.

· Maintain and improve bookkeeping and accountancy systems (both computerised and manual) including:

- Bank reconciliations

- Cash flow management

- Income and grant analysis (restricted and designated funds)

- Bank receipts and payments

- Purchase approval and recording processes

Accounts payable

· Process purchase invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

· Respond accurately and efficiently to queries from suppliers and colleagues regarding payments.

· Manage the Finance email inbox ensuring emails are dealt with in a timely manner.

· Ensure Petty cash is available and monitored.

· Process staff expenses, ensuring compliance with policy.

· Pay salary and staff costs liaising with our accountants (who administer payroll) regarding any updates/changes.

Accounts Receivable

· Control and Monitoring of restricted funds including detailed records of spend allocation of funds and remaining balance.

· Accurately accounting for all income receipts monthly including donations from individuals and organisations and grants and claiming any appropriate Gift Aid.

Budgets

· Prepare and update annual income and expenditure budget in consultation with the CEO and other officers.

· Monitor the budget against actual and investigate any major variations in budget.

· Involvement in strategic and business planning projections with the CEO and other officers.

Reports

Produce regular management information so that key officers and trustees know how well the charity is performing against its budget. To include:

• Provide regular monthly management financial information (including financial highlights/list of assets/budget against actual/restricted and unrestricted funds/fund movement summary/fund balances/trial balance/balance sheet) for the CEO and Board of Trustees.
• Quarterly financial reports for the Board of Trustees including detailed analysis of income and expenditure.
• Reports on individual activities including Lottery and grants.

• Filing Annual Return to the Charity Commission.
• Assisting with funding reports.

Annual Financial Audit

• Work with BSN, our accountants/auditors to produce the statutory accounts and planning of the year-end audit.

Bank and Treasury Management

• Treasury management in connection with cash and investments held by the charity.
• Manage cash flow to ensure that the level of interest received is as high as possible and that bank charges are kept to a minimum.
• Ensuring Current Account balances are kept at a reasonable level.

Fundraising

· Ensure that the most tax-efficient solution is applied to fundraising income through gift aid and other schemes.

· Assisting with applications for funding ensuring that all grants, sponsorship and donations are paid on time and the financial conditions met.

· Keeping clear records of funding bids, successful bids and spending related to these bids.

Communication and Coordination

• Ensure the efficient circulation of financial information as needed including that required from external advisers e.g., auditors.
• Liaise with and advise the CEO and others as appropriate on all financial matters.
• Liaise with and maintain a good working relationship with bankers, accountants, auditors and donors.
• Liaise and maintain a good working relationship with volunteers, staff and Board of Trustees.
• Attend staff and Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis.
• Understand confidentiality in accordance with GDPR.

Professional/Technical

• Keep up to date with financial developments across the sector, changes in requirements for charity reporting and changes in legislation.
• Maintain and monitor the Internal Financial Procedures policy document and make recommendations on best practice, good governance, policies and procedures and implementing same.
• Experience with the software for donations, My Giving online and the accounting package, My Fund Accounting online.  The software is specifically for churches and charities.
• Experience with Just Giving and other online giving platforms in particular claiming Gift Aid.

Administration

· Undertake all finance related administrative tasks ensuring orderly filling of electronic (Sharepoint) and paper documents and preparing for financial audits.

Designed in partnership with UCL, In2research is a year-long programme that aims to improve access to postgraduate research degrees and careers for people from low-socioeconomic and underrepresented backgrounds. Through workshops, mentoring, professional development days and an eight-week research placement, participants receive the development opportunities and insight they need to progress onto postgraduate research degrees and careers in STEM, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects.

The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2research Programme. 

Your specific duties will include: 

Programme Delivery 

• Manage participants and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation. 

• Maintain excellent working relationships with funders and delivery partners and other external stakeholders to further the delivery of our work. This will include working and communicating with academic and professional services staff at universities, consultants, placement supervisors, mentors and workshop leads

• Create and develop engaging communication materials about the programme including programme guides, presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images.

• Track project performance, manage risk assessments and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

Job Purpose

Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery. 

Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

• Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

• Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

• Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants. 

• Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

• Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

• Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested. 

• Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

• Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved. 

• Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

• Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

Person specification

• At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

This is a critical senior role in the organisation, reporting to the CEO. The role is responsible for managing the organisation’s programmes across 3 locations in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia, managing 10 personnel. The position provides leadership on community-led investigations and evidence gathering and works closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) on critical areas including fundraising and strategic development.   

The priority for this role is the safe and high quality performance of projects. The balance between ‘doing’ and ‘managing’ in this role varies depending on available resources for each project, and the ability to create competent teams to delegate to.
 

Location: UK, France or Thailand preferred. Remote applicants considered.

Package: Pay is dependent on location.  The UK salary of £62,000 plus pension contribution will be converted using ICSC scales. All locations receive 28 days annual leave, counselling support and annual wellbeing days.
 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• The development and implementation of strategy and annual plans for the organisation’s direct programming, and its alignment with organisational strategy.

Labour Behind the Label's Advocacy Lead is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders in campaigns to call for better conditions in the garment industry and pushing our message in the media. They take part in LBL’s outward facing work, delivering lobbying and campaigns, and designing actions to push brands and policy decision makers to improve conditions.

You will join Labour Behind the Label - a small but mighty garment workers' rights campaign, working as part of a global network of unions and worker rights groups on the ground in garment producing countries to improve conditions in fashion supply chains. Campaigns and Policy

• Design and participate in delivery of UK-wide campaigns strategies to call for better rights and conditions in clothing production facilities worldwide, alongside other staff

The role
