The 5Rights Foundation is looking for a Research Officer to join our small and high impact team in fighting for a digital world that supports children and young people to flourish. ​

We are looking for someone organised, meticulous, creative and critical-minded to conduct ongoing practical research into the tech children are using, ensure our policy team understand how it works and impacts children, and gather the evidence to drive change.​

Experience of providing research support in a policy environment and knowledge of technology policy, privacy, children’s rights or a related field would be desirable. Additional language skills such as French or Spanish is an advantage. We are offering remote working (with part-time co-working space access in London or Brussels) with employee contracts in the UK or Belgium; salary ranges from £22,400 – 24,900 or EUR 31,600 – 35,100 (for Belgium) depending on experience. ​

Key responsibilities ​

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will:​​

• Be the expert in the room! Make sure 5Rights knows what it needs to know, and be confident in holding us and those in our network to the evidence.​

• Conduct thorough and organised research, including rapid evidence assessments, report summaries, and deep-dives into emerging technologies.​

• Conduct consultation and exchange sessions with young people from around the world as part of our Youth Engagement Programme, learning about their experience and helping them understand how tech works.​

• Liaise with technologists and experts around the world, exchanging knowledge and staying up to date on the latest developments, research and emerging issues.​

• Gather evidence for and support compliance actions.​

• Maintain tracking tools and a well-organised evidence repository.​

• Help coordinate research projects and evidence-gathering programmes.​

• Draft ad hoc briefings for senior staff on relevant developments, or ahead of meetings and conferences.​

• Contribute to 5Rights reports, positions, communications and fundraising materials.​

• Represent 5Rights as an expert at meetings and events.​

• Provide support to the policy, tech accountability and innovation work of 5Rights more broadly as needed.​

Person specification​

You’ll be a confident and skilled researcher, a clear, fresh thinker, and an excellent writer. High attention to detail, an eye for nuance, and the ability to digest complex information quickly and communicate it coherently are all musts. A background in technology issues or children’s rights is preferable, but not essential. Most of all, we’re looking for someone who’s thorough, proactive, super smart, and committed to our mission. ​

  Remuneration and details​​

• Location: Remote position with employee contract in UK or Belgium. Hybrid working in 5Rights’ London and Brussels co-working office spaces is available.​

• Salary: £22,400 – 24,900 for UK-based candidate, with flexibility depending on experience;  EUR 31,600 – 35,100 for a Belgium-based candidate.​

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager, for an inspiring social welfare campaigning charity, to lead and drive the trusts and foundations strategy.

The Role

Manage and support the Trust and Foundations Officer, who oversees the smaller trust programme, empowering them to develop, grow and contribute to the overall strategy.

The Candidate
Proven experience of writing successful and compelling proposals and applications to Trusts and Foundations and securing multi year funding.

Experience of working across an organisation to develop fundraising bids and reports, ideally within a campaigning charity.

Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and budgeting.

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications

This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.  

PR and Media Relations

• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice

• Develop and support in house PR roll out

· Work with external PR agency on selected press releases where relevant

· Write press releases in line with campaign launches and key moments

London Seminary are seeking a dynamic Partnership & Development Manager. This is an exciting brand new role offering an incredible opportunity to contribute to their expansion efforts in partnership building, fundraising, and income generation. They're in search of an ambitious and enthusiastic team player with outstanding interpersonal and fundraising abilities, poised to excel alongside their dedicated staff team.

The Partnership and Development Manager will partner closely with the COO to influence the trajectory of London Seminary's future. Your role will extend to providing vital support to the COO during outreach engagements within Christian churches and partnership events. Furthermore, you'll work alongside the Principal to spearhead the implementation of innovative initiatives aimed at raising awareness of our mission and outreach efforts.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Being an excellent networker that can build strong long lasting relationships
• Experience in researching and identifying fundraising opportunities with trusts, foundations and supporters
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

To achieve its ambitious goal, BRAC is seeking partnerships with like-minded organisations and allies across Europe. It has an ambitious target to grow its funding from the European market to GBP 100 million over the next 24 months. To achieve its ambition BRAC is building a specialised team of partnerships specialist to be based across key European markets i.e. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, UK and Switzerland.

The Foundations Officer will work as part of the Partnerships team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts, foundations and corporates. The Foundations Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s mission by stewarding partnerships with philanthropic and corporate foundations and creating new business opportunities to deliver on BRAC’s mission.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing Living Well Bromley’s strategic and operational plans, leading on partnership and business development, and being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.

They will lead a senior management team of three (the Operations Manager, Funding and Communications Manager and Advocacy Manager).They will be responsible for ensuring financial control and supporting and advising on governance best practice across all aspects of the charity.

This post is a first-tier post directly reporting to the Board of Trustees. Ideally the post holder will have a Christian faith and be committed to core Christian values.
