Age UK is hiring a Philanthropy Lead! We are delighted to be recruiting for this brand new role in Age UK's award-winning partnerships and philanthropy team. You'll be joining a team of c30 talented and dedicated colleagues working across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, trusts & foundations, statutory, all supported by a fantastic partnerships operations team. We work closely with colleagues in services to drive forward our restricted funding priorities and are well embedded within the charity.

It's an exciting time to join Age UK as we embark on a new income generation strategy to drive significant growth in income and impact, to end the crisis hiding in plain sight for older people.

We're looking for an experienced major donor fundraiser who has the passion, drive and strategic understanding to lead Age UK's Philanthropy programme. You will work to create a step change in philanthropy income & impact, aligned to Age UK's thematic priorities to tackle pensioner poverty, disconnection and health and care - locally, nationally and internationally. You will forge relationships to secure new donations and maintain existing donor relationships, whilst also leading and coaching a team you have the opportunity to recruit and build yourself.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office (EC3N 2LB) - currently once a week on a Thursday and may involve occasional travel for meetings and cultivation events. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
• Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts in collaboration with care home managers and the Director of Finance and Fundraising.
• Provide financial reports and analysis to support operational and strategic planning across the care home network.
• Assist with year-end processes and preparation for external audit.

Leadership & Team Oversight

• Supervise and support Finance Officers responsible for income processing, supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and financial records.
• Review and authorise monthly payroll and supplier payments using Bankline
• Monitor debtors and direct credit control priorities
• Conduct regular supervision and performance reviews to ensure high standards and ongoing development.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in line with internal controls.

Regulatory Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory obligations.
• Maintain robust financial controls, supporting the integrity and accuracy of accounting systems.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability.

Stakeholder Support & Business Partnering

• Work closely with Registered Managers and operational staff to ensure budgetary control and understanding.
• Provide accessible and relevant financial insights to non-finance colleagues.
• Support Operational Managers with ad hoc costings including client’s holidays and support contracts.
• Support the finance team in producing returns for regulators and funders, where appropriate.

Person Specification

Essential

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
• Experience producing management accounts and financial analysis.
• Experience managing or supervising finance staff.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 50 or similar).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About the Role

This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Officer role will be part of the Fundraising and Engagement team to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively delivered. As the Fundraising and Engagement Officer you will be responsible for supporting the growth of income across individual, major donors alongside community and corporate fundraising.

In this role you will be responsible for implementing and administrating fundraising and engagement activities, supporting inspiring campaigns, optimising stewardship and attending fundraising events.

We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to organise range of fundraising events, such as gaming, auctions, quizzes, gigs. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and working with an Events and Engagement Officer.

This is a critical role for generating essential funds for the charity. You will love a challenge and be goal orientated. It is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, promoting, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events. • Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact by generating income/ donations through organising their own events 

• Create inspiring digital content and resources to empower and guide fundraisers and donors throughout their journey 

• Develop our fundraising hub to provide resources and information and encouragement to help participants 

• Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at events, delivering talks and building awareness to attract new donors, supporters and sign-ups to our challenge events 

• With support of our marketing team, create compelling content for multiple channels, including our website, blog, case studies, social media, and press releases, tailored to diverse audiences 

• Assist with multiple administrative tasks, such as inputting data into our CRM, check fundraising activities by participants on Just Giving and other activities ensure fundraising targets are being met and the smooth running and of our fundraising team and events 

• Be in commutable distance of Brighton, so you can come into the head office when required to send out merchandise, collect marketing collateral (including banners, posters, leaflets) to take to events. 

To be successful in this role, you must be responsive, extremely organised, have attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines, and passionate about seeing growth and progress in your work. The post holder will have responsibility for arranging and maximising income from fundraising events to meet budget requirements, community fundraising/third party activities, challenge events, as well as initiating and growing new supporter relationships. 

The role will also involve meeting supporters, attending cheque presentations and delivering talks to various community groups and organisations, to further promote the work of the Hospice and seek to engage and inspire new donors.

About the Programme

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.

About the Role

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. As our Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close-knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events — the Schools Triathlon.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. A big part of your role will involve delivering fun and engaging school assemblies, encouraging pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Alongside this outward-facing work, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support behind the scenes. This will include managing participant data in Excel, Eventrac, and Salesforce; uploading and running reports; processing donations (including cash and cheques); and ensuring our records are accurate and up to date.

You’ll also be the first point of contact for event participants and their families, providing warm, professional support through email and phone queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and processes (30%) 

• Manage the assembly tracker to ensure it is kept up to date, with relevant members of the team notified when new assemblies are booked in
• Maintain accurate records across our registration platform (Eventrac), our CRM system (Salesforce) and Excel, including registrations, fundraising data, and supporter information.
• Monitor and track fundraising progress for over 11,000 participants, encouraging and supporting them to reach their goals.
• Manage JustGiving pages, ensuring all fundraising activity is accurately logged.
• Liaise with Finance to process donations (online, offline, and cheques), allocate income correctly, and thank supporters promptly.
• Support with the merchandise and fulfillment process 
• Occasional website updates.

Fundraising and relationship management (30%)

• Be the first point of contact for schools, parents, and participants via the Schools Triathlon inbox.
• Book and coordinate school assemblies, and deliver assemblies or fundraising workshops.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, pupils, and parents, thanking and supporting them throughout their fundraising journey.
• Provide admin support to the Restless Development US Board, including coordinating quarterly meetings.
• Attend meetings with third party suppliers and schools when necessary
• Support on wider charity initiatives as and when needed

Event management and Communications (30%) 

• Support the planning and delivery of two Schools Triathlon events, including site visits, logistics, and on-the-day support.
• Coordinate event communications, including assembly slides, parent invites, and regular registration reports.
• Work collaboratively with the Schools Triathlon team to ensure smooth delivery of all events.

Others (10%) 

• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with developing an individual giving process.
• Attend Schools Triathlon events (April–June) and occasional evening/weekend work for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
• Regular travel to schools is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential (travel costs will be reimbursed).
• Carry out any other duties as required to support the fundraising team.

The main focus of the role is to secure income for large-scale capital investment at Stanley Arts; alongside developing and maintaining relationships with statutory funders and trusts who maysupport programming and core running costs of the
building. Funding bodies will include Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other voluntary sources, predominantly trusts and foundations.

The Development Manager will play a central role in securing income for Stanley Arts through two key areas:
