In collaboration with the Head of Centre and Trustees, with the responsibility for Fundraising, the successful candidate will design and implement the centre’s annual income generation strategy. The position will concentrate on diversifying income streams, fostering corporate partnerships, and cultivating relationships across the West Midlands to support all fundraising initiatives, thereby ensuring the organisation's long-term sustainability.

Purpose
This is an exciting new role supporting the delivery of the events and partnerships programme within a leading mental health charity.
We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people, who is excited by the prospect of raising funds that make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and corporate and community partners. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.
As an Events and Partnerships Officer, your role is to support the planning, delivery and promotion of an exciting calendar of fundraising events, and support our corporate and community partners in their fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Supporting our events programme

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Senior Events and Partnerships Manager, Head of Fundraising and voluntary fundraising committees.
• Take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events within the calendar - which may include budgeting, liaising with third-party event organisers, logistics, risk assessment, promotion, participant engagement and post-event analysis.
• Monitor online fundraising and maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Act as a point of contact for our various voluntary fundraising committees, supporting them with their activities, and providing event guidance and administrative support to enable them to deliver successful events and reach income targets.
• Working closely with our communications team, co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of our events programme. This will include: writing copy, building emails, supporting social activity, multi-channel promotion planning and supporter engagement campaigns.
• Collaborate on the design and production of event materials, including the development of event-specific fundraising packs and downloadable resources.
• Represent the Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

Supporting our partnerships

• Co-ordinate partnerships with community and corporate supporters, building long-term relationships and ensuring that partners feel valued and partnership objectives are met.
• Steward relationships with key people within our community and corporate partners, engaging them with the cause.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individual supporters, corporate partners and community groups raising money for us.

General responsibilities and duties

• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers and funders.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

Sutton Night Watch is a registered charity which was set up to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas.

Over the past 10 years, with the support of local business, the local community and fundraising efforts, we have been able to grow and expand into our own, permanent base in December 2019.  From here we are able to not only provide the essentials such as food, showers and clothing supplies, but we are able to also offer our service users a range of health services, benefit advice, wellbeing and educational based courses, clothes, washing facilities and most importantly, a place where people are seen, heard and understood. We also support people to find secure accommodation. In the past 3 months we have found homes for 13 people.

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization.

Our annual fundraising target is set at c250k (cash income) plus additional targets for in-kind donations, preloved donations and donated services. We work with children and adults affected by neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, Stroke and MS. We push the boundaries of human potential for people living with these physical disabilities by teaching them, through Conductive Education, a range of skills that promote an active lifestyle and showing them that there can be life after diagnosis.

This is an exciting time to join NICE, as we begin to plan for our 40th Anniversary year and build on our existing fundraising strategy to grow our supporter base and develop new income streams to support the expansion of our services. We have a small but successful fundraising team in place, who work collaboratively to manage fundraising activity and meet agreed income targets.

We are looking for a candidate who can engage our families and individual and community supporters, compellingly convey the need for, and impact of, the work we do.  The post holder will work closely with the CEO, Fundraising Manager, the rest of the fundraising team as well as other teams across the organisation, not forgetting our amazing families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate income across an agreed range of community fundraising initiatives and events
• Steward supporters to help maximise income and future support to the charity
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our families and community supporters
• Be committed to helping disadvantaged children and adults 

Requirements:

• Previous fundraising and income generation experience
• Experience in supporter stewardship
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire supporters 

Due to the nature of our work, it is recommended that you work from our office in Moseley, Birmingham, the majority of the time. However, some hybrid working will be considered.

About Sister System 

Founded in 2018, Sister System is a charitable organisation and an Open College Network (OCN) approved centre dedicated to empowering girls and young women aged 13-24 affected by the care system.

Our approach is co-designed with care-affected young women and girls to ensure that their lived experiences continue to drive meaningful change and shape our progression. Built on proven therapeutic models, our long-term mentoring, accredited qualifications, and leadership development programmes strengthen resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.

These sessions explore the social and emotional transition to womanhood while building a supportive network of “sisters” who continue to empower one another during key life transitions. Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year fundraising strategy that encompasses diverse income streams, working collaboratively with senior leadership to coordinate efforts and maintain an up-to-date fundraising pipeline.

• Steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners while leading grant applications and proposals for six-figure funding opportunities.

• Strategically position Sister System for statutory funding by identifying government contract opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive for local authority and national funding programmes.

• Oversee critical systems and processes including financial reporting, grant management cycles, board reporting, and line management duties while serving as an external ambassador for the organisation 

• Line manage a small fundraising team

About the role

The Fundraising Lead (Corporate & Grants) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of income generation for Planet Patrol, including the planning and delivery of our fundraising strategy; with a focus on corporates and grants. You will secure new partnerships and sponsorships, and develop high-value, multi-year commitments that align with both Planet Patrol’s priorities and our funders objectives. Whilst this role is fixed term, we hope to secure enough funding to make the role permanent.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Relationship Building

• Meet and exceed the annual new funding target of £300k, whilst maintaining existing funding agreements.
• Secure sponsorship for at least three organisational priorities worth a minimum of £50k each.
• Write and submit innovative, engaging and impactful funding applications.
• Prospect new supporters and build long-term, high-value relationships.
• Quickly and efficiently respond to calls for proposals, maximising all opportunities..
• Work with colleagues across Planet Patrol to develop and deliver bespoke opportunities aligned with funder priorities.
• Host cultivation events and support other team members in engaging prospective sponsors.
• Ensure due diligence in line with Planet Patrol’s ethics and due diligence policies.

Strategic

• Lead on the development and delivery of Planet Patrol’s fundraising strategy, setting income targets and KPIs with the Director.

• Contribute to the wider Organisational strategy and annual Business Plan.
• Keep abreast of sector developments and funding opportunities to ensure plans are timely and effective.

Account Management

• Maximise our existing portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring timely delivery of benefits, publicity and events.
• Oversee reporting to funders, sponsors and partners, demonstrating impact and value.
• Manage budgets within the fundraising portfolio and contribute to organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

Marketing & Communications

• Create compelling and innovative partnership opportunities for corporate supporters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver sponsorship benefits and ensure accurate representation of sponsors across Planet Patrol platforms.
• Coordinate sponsor advertising and communications, with support from colleagues.
• Positively represent Planet Patrol at events and conferences.

Role requirements:

• A minimum three years working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• A demonstrated ability in securing funding worth five-and-six figures.
• Experience working remotely and making impactful relationships online.
• Be able to communicate effectively with senior corporate leaders.
• Experience in providing excellent stakeholder engagement, ideally through an integrated CRM.

• Excellent general IT skills and knowledge of new platforms to enable efficiency (Trello, Slack, HubSpot, Xero).

St James’s, Piccadilly is at an exciting moment in its 340-year history. Fundraising for the ‘Wren Project’, a £23m capital campaign, and plans for an endowment campaign, are well underway.
