Job Purpose
• Leading the development and growth of corporate fundraising and corporate partnerships
• Create, develop and deliver the corporate fundraising and partnerships strategy
• Identify, cultivate and steward corporate partnerships

Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a corporate fundraising and partnerships strategy

2. Shape and implement the wider Fundraising Strategy in collaboration with the Director and SLT.

3. Lead income forecasting, budget setting, reporting and analysis, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

4. Lead a proactive acquisition approach and drive new business activity and secure at least five-figure partnerships and donations

5. Build and maintain a strong, diverse pipeline of corporate prospects

6. Work with teams across the organisation to develop and prepare tailored cases for support, proposals and reports and bespoke updates and communications to donors

7. Personally identify and manage a portfolio of key relationships

8. Monitor income performance and provide timely reports and analysis, including reporting to the BC board and the BC Trading Company Board

9. Negotiate and deliver partnership agreements ensuring delivery against agreed targets and a good return on investment for the charity.

10. Update and maintain records of all business and corporate approaches, communications and agreements on the CRM and appropriate files.

11. Where required develop and/or follow policies and procedures on due diligence, data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.

12. Represent fundraising in the development and use of CRM systems and insight tools.

13. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate income coding, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

14. Line-manage and support the Corporate Fundraising Officer, driving performance and innovation through a solution focused approach.

15. Manage external agencies and ensure contracts meet compliance and strategic needs.

16. Actively contribute to SLT and organisational strategy, projects, and decision-making.

The Community Fundraising Team is an integral part of the Charity Fundraising Portfolio, by supporting a diverse range of inspiring supporter led fundraising activities. It is an exciting time to join the Team, as we plan for 25/26.

We are looking for a Business Development Officer to help drive the growth of Learning on Screen—the UK’s leading charity for moving image in post 16 education. What you will be doing

• Selling our products and services (including memberships, subscriptions, and courses) to meet income targets
• Researching, identifying, and converting new leads across the education sector
• Supporting the development of sponsorship and partnership opportunities with external funders and collaborators
• Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to maximise value and engagement
• Creating compelling proposals and marketing materials to support income-generating initiatives

• Experience in B2B sales, partnership development, or fundraising (ideally in the non-profit or education sectors)

About the role:

This is an exciting new business role which has emerged in our newly formed Philanthropy and Partnerships team. As our Partnerships Development Manager (New Business), you will be confident and credible at senior levels, adept at storytelling, relationship building and able to drive transformational philanthropic partnerships to secure five or six-figure and multi-year commitments. This will help take the organisation from an annual income of £10m to £15m over the next 3-5 years to accelerate and expand Hope and Homes for Children’s impact for children and families.

Personable, creative and a strategic thinker, you’ll drive a proactive focus on prospecting, identifying, and engaging new philanthropists and partners to build a robust and diverse pipeline of high-value donors. Resilience and determination will be key.
 
About Hope and Homes for Children:

We believe children belong in families, never orphanages. Because orphanages harm children. The majority of those who experience life inside an institution suffer violence, abuse and neglect. Denied the chance to grow up in a family, they’re more likely to become homeless later in life, to have run-ins with the law, and to experience mental and physical health issues.
 
The shocking truth is that these are almost always children who have, or could have, a family to look after them. To love them. But every day, a broken system puts pressure on parents to give up their children. They'll be safe from war, can escape poverty, will get an education. False promises. No child should have to trade their family for their future.
 
Today, over 5.4 million children are trapped within institutions. It’s not right and it must stop. Children deserve so much better. Always.
 
Since 1994, Hope and Homes for Children has been working to stop the institutionalisation of children. We’re approximately 240 people, in ten countries, inspiring organisations, including the UN, EU and governments around the world, to close the doors of orphanages forever. Instead, we fight for every child to feel the love and belonging of a safe family home.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (4 days will be considered)
Salary: £37,000 to £42,000 per annum pro rata, including any London weighting if applicable.
