We currently have two exciting opportunities to join our team as a Donor Experience Officer. One is a permanent contract, and one is a fixed-term parental leave cover contract from 3 November 2025 to 30 November 2026.

As a Donor Experience Officer, you’ll play a central part in providing an outstanding, informative and rewarding experience for thousands of donors through delivery of a best-in-class donor stewardship programme.

You will develop and deliver multi-channel donor journeys for supporters, giving to a variety of important areas. Working closely with fundraising leads and other members of the Donor Experience team, you will coordinate and deliver a calendar of creative touchpoints – ensuring that donors receive an inspiring experience commensurate to the level of their gifts. You’ll also work closely with colleagues leading on key income streams to ensure donor experience activity supports acquisition and retention goals.

You must be comfortable and confident in working to a brief to producing creative communications across digital and print media.

You will be proactive in sourcing powerful impact stories and case studies from across the University and translate these into high quality content that ensures donors feel their support is valued and effective, inspires repeat giving and maximises donor retention.

You will be highly organised and proactive, with excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills, with an ability to influence and connect with stakeholders at all levels.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This dynamic role presents a unique opportunity to build upon the procurement progress achieved so far and to help establish robust procurement foundations across the organisation, following the implementation of a new ERP system. Some key projects for this role over the next 12 months will be:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Procurement Team, champion strategic procurement initiatives, and ensure compliance with organisational policies. The Procurement Manager is responsible for driving intelligent procurement decisions, delivering the procurement strategy, and upholding the highest standards of ethical and sustainable purchasing. This role is focused on achieving optimal value for money across all indirect spend activities. As the leader of the Procurement Team, the Procurement Manager also provides mentoring and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The role is incredibly varied and reflects the activities of ShelterBox across all indirect buying categories. The successful Procurement Manager will be strategic, decisive and collaborative with an eye for opportunity and influence. They will be a supportive and visible leader within ShelterBox, whilst mentoring the Procurement Team to deliver excellent results and reach personal goals.

You will need to be outcome-focused, have previous experience gained in creating framework agreement / supplier lists, leading end-to-end procurement processes, previous leadership experience and competent with driving value. A strong understanding on how to constructively engage with stakeholders is vital in creating long-term foundations with the senior leadership and suppliers. Some travel within the UK may be required.

Role Description

BASIC is seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Manager (Policy Fellow) to lead BASIC’s deliverables within our joint project with the Federation of the American Scientists (FAS): ‘From the Noise, the Signal’. 

The project investigates how emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) pose credible threats and disrupt traditional assumptions regarding relative military advantages and disadvantages. One such assumption is the traditional dominance of hiders over seekers in the military domain which appears to be increasingly challenged by a package of EDTs. These technologies operate across military domains, including: outer space and the upper atmosphere, air, ground, sea surface, undersea, and cyber. Research has, however, not yet fully assessed EDTs collective impacts on hider-seeker dynamics, at a time where technologies are advancing faster than policy.

This joint FAS-BASIC project addresses this gap in both the research literature and policy discourse through collaboration with an interdisciplinary community of scientific, technical, and OSINT experts, to build a higher-resolution picture of the technological readiness according to the open-source.

This high-impact role offers the opportunity to deliver the research and manage the part of the project that covers sea-based dimensions. The second phase will bring the project’s sea- and land-based dimensions together, and assess the overall strategic implications of these technological advances for nuclear stability.

The Project Manager is expected to have a solid understanding of global security, nuclear nuclear issues, and expertise in EDTs and nuclear weapons issues demonstrated through a record of relevant (policy) research. The successful candidate will have experience with convening and leading high level dialogues  and experience with project delivery. 

The successful candidate will manage and lead the project’s delivery across several outputs, working closely with FAS partners.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Since becoming a charity focused solely on campaigning in 2019, Age UK London has adopted and implemented a new strategy. We have agreed campaign priorities; successfully changed policy at a London-wide and borough level; and adapted our finance, HR and IT systems to better support a campaigning charity.

The Board is looking for a new CEO to lead the charity through the next phase of its development, creating a new strategy to guide its campaigning work making London a better city for older people and to develop a sustainable income stream.

· In conjunction with the board, lead the creation of a new strategy for the charity and develop and implement appropriate business and financial plans, with clear objectives and outcomes and to operationalise the strategy, ensuring all activities are aligned to achieve the strategy. 

· Develop and implement a new income generation strategy, including building relationships with funders, and strengthening and growing our individual giving programme to put the charity on the path to becoming financially self-sustaining.

• Ensure that the Charity maintains relationships with all appropriate external stakeholders so that our campaigns are successful and the voices of older Londoners are heard in decision making, and to oversee the delivery of our external communications plan.

The CEO needs to be a strategic leader who can inspire and manage teams, drive fundraising and financial sustainability, and represent the organisation to stakeholders. Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. We exist to end the pain and suffering and loss of life among people affected by eating disorders:

• We help them to understand their illness, support them to get treatment and help them towards recovery.
