We’re turning 18 in 2026 and to make it happen we need more volunteer Organisers. 

Can you write successful grant bids? Create sponsorship packages and work effectively with partner organisations?

Are you local to Norwich and would you like to join the team that brings Norwich Pride to the city each year?

Our vision is to turn Norwich into a rainbow and you could be just who we are looking for to help us achieve that goal as our new ‘Head of Fundraising’.

Norwich Pride is a group of friendly, creative, enthusiastic volunteers from the local lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBTQIA+) community.

We organise Norwich Pride on the last Saturday each July. A free and community led event that helps to ensure Norwich is a city where everyone feels safe and proud to be themselves.

NB Location: Norwich Pride is rooted in the local community and members of the Organising Team will need to be available for some centrally based face-to-face meetings as well as event preparation nearer the time. Our preference therefore is for local volunteers (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs).

Volunteer opportunities are worthwhile and give us all the chance to help important causes in our local community, but you, the volunteer, will also gain from donating your time. Volunteering can help you make friends, grow your CV/career, develop a new skill set, and of course, make a difference.

NB Remuneration: In recognition of the importance of this role to the success of the Norwich Pride event this is the only role within the organisation which attracts a small ‘honorarium’ payment. Norwich Pride Trustees have agreed the amount will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.

Alex, The Leukodystrophy Charity (Alex TLC) is a small, independent rare disease charity competing for essential resources within an extremely competitive arena.

Like many other small charities, we have grown organically from an informal support group to the recognised voice for leukodystrophy patients and their families. In order to fulfil our charitable objectives we need to increase and sustain our corporate income levels.

Could you spare a few hours a week to help us?

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for volunteers, preferably with corporate fundraising experience to:

• research the corporate giving landscape and the interests of potential donors

• identify potential corporate donors and partners whose corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals align with our mission and values

• approach local and national businesses in person and over the telephone to inform them of the work of Alex TLC

• keep a record of all approaches

A bit about this role:

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. What can you expect to be doing?

As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:

• face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, attending supermarket collections and monitoring collection boxes.
• online fundraising – assisting with online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised.
• bringing new ideas! We always love to come up with new ideas to raise funds for cats and we’d love to help bring yours to life.
• engaging with your local branch and Fundraising Hub and feeling like an integral part of the team.

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

RNOH Charity is a vital partner in the way the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital delivers care. Since its inception in 1997, the Charity has raised and administered millions of pounds in donations, which have funded numerous essential projects around the hospital.

We are seeking a Trustee with marketing or fundraising experience.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Trustee of RNOH Charity. Our Trustees play an important role in making sure that the charity is run in the interests of those we support. They strategically oversee the management and administration of the organisation. We are particularly interested in hearing from marketing or fundraising professionals with experience in developing successful fundraising or marketing campaigns.

In this role, you will:

• Provide strategic guidance on the planning and execution of marketing and fundraising campaigns, with a focus on channel strategy and donor engagement across digital, social and traditional media.
• Advise on market and competitive analysis to inform campaign development and positioning.
• Bring expertise in successful campaign delivery and marketing best practice reflecting appropriate legal and ethical considerations.

Time commitment

• Four virtual Board meetings a year, held at the end of the working day.
• Four virtual Committee meetings a year, held at the end of the working day.
• Two in-person Board Away Days per year held in the Stanmore area.
• Induction and ongoing training.
• The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although out-of pocket expenses may be claimed.

What are we looking for?

Ideally you will have experience of operating at executive director level or equivalent. If you have a track record of delivering successful marketing or fundraising initiatives, we would like to hear from you. 

We would welcome applications from across both commercial and charity sectors.

• Experience of operating within a Board in a charitable, public sector or commercial organisation is desirable.
• Demonstrable experience of building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to achieve organisational objectives (Not essential).
• A proven track record of sound judgement, strategic thinking and effective decision making.
• A history of impartiality, fairness and the ability to respect confidences.
• A track record of commitment to promoting equality and diversity.

Additional induction will be organised for successful candidate without previous Board experience.

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.
