We are looking for social media and content creator leads to participate in our community-led working group who are promoting public awareness and support of the project. 

There is opportunity to lead on projects across communications, content creation, social media, PR, newsletters, film, podcasts or any other channels of interest, and facilitate the direction of the working group.

The Comms Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.

You will be at the forefront of our digital strategy to create a huge new biodiverse park and natural swimming ponds. We’re looking for creative and strategic thinkers who can craft compelling narratives and visually stunning content. You should have a deep understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools to measure and optimize our campaigns. Your ability to build and engage with online communities is crucial, as is your skill in managing media relations. We value individuals who are passionate about our mission and can bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the role. You will be comfortable with community-led processes. Fundraising advisors wanted to support East London Waterworks Park in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy.

If you are a professional fundraiser and would like to help but are short on time, we would love to hear from you even if you are unable to get deeply involved. We would appreciate one-off or ongoing advice on the phone, online or in person. We would welcome feedback on our fundraising strategy and past applications, any advice about trust and grant fundraising, and any other advice you can give. 

The Fundraising Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely. We understand that people may not have a lot of time to give, so we want to find volunteers who could give us one-off or ongoing strategic advice and support.

If you have experience in funding strategy, writing grants for funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you. 

East London Waterworks Park is an exciting and ambitious project that offers many rewarding opportunities for our volunteers. You will have a significant impact on the creation of a new biodiverse community-owned park with free access natural swimming ponds and forest schools. 

By leading fundraising projects that explore how diverse professionals (architects, ecologists, web developers, community researchers etc.) collaborate to shape community infrastructure, volunteers will directly contribute to the development of a park that truly reflects the needs and desires of the local community. 

Without funding we won’t be able to make it happen. Your input will help us craft experiences that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability. So you will be directly contributing to the creation of a new biodiverse community-owned park with free access natural swimming ponds.

Monitoring, evaluation and learning coordinators wanted to help East London Waterworks Park deliver its environmental learning goals.

Individuals with experience in research, programme evaluation, data analysis, or education assessment are encouraged to apply. Attention to detail and an interest in measuring impact will be key strengths in this role. Our roles are quite flexible. While your experienced research skills are crucial, we also value your ability to engage with the community and build partnerships. Experience in conducting community-based research or working with community organisations is important. A strong understanding of community dynamics and the ability to collaborate effectively will be invaluable in ensuring your research findings are relevant and impactful. Our roles are quite flexible. Web developers and designers wanted to support East London Waterworks Park in continuing to improve its website and digital infrastructure.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces. 

We are looking for web developers and designers to contribute to our community-led working group who are working on coordinating content and infrastructure for the East London Waterworks Park website. 

There is opportunity to lead on projects across web development and UX and web design, and facilitate the direction of the working group.

Harris Hill is delighted to be supporting Tullie to recruit up to four new Trustees to its Board including a successor to the Chair.

Tullie is one of the UK’s leading independent museums. It has been a vital community asset since 1893. The museum welcomes over 200,000 visitors through its doors every year and is recognised for its first-class visitor service and has a national reputation for the quality of its award-winning exhibitions and learning programmes.

It is one of the most significant museums in the north-west and has been run as an independent charitable trust since May 2011. Tullie has embarked on an ambitious, phased capital development programme - Project Tullie. It has now completed the first two phases and will be commencing the third phase in Autumn 2025. The Project is planned to continue over the next 10-years and will transform the museum and surrounding buildings into a welcoming and contemporary space fit for the next 100 years.

Tullie is looking for four new trustees to provide strategic and inspirational leadership to the charity as it seeks further growth and delivery of its charitable objectives.

The museum is seeking applicants with experience and/or skills in the following areas:

1. Curatorial / Museum Leadership
2. Finance
3. Fundraising
4. Digital / Marketing
5. Education

What Tullie needs:

• A commitment to understanding and supporting the Museum’s mission.
• Strategic vision; good, independent judgment.
• Ability to think creatively and willingness to speak your mind.
• Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trusteeship.
• Active role in fundraising (national and international opportunities) and sharing support for the charity through personal and professional networks.
• An interest and passion in environmental issues.
• Someone who can become Chair.
• Someone who has an interest in or connection to Cumbria would be desirable.

Time commitment:

• A minimum of four board meetings per annum in person (currently taking place on a Friday afternoon).
• Annual Board awayday in person.
• Attendance on at least one committee, which is likely to be four meetings per annum (depending on the committee, these maybe online).
• Attendance of at least one quarterly meeting of our Community Board (this may be online).

Remuneration: This is a voluntary position & as such does not pay a salary. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

Term of office: an initial 3-year term.
