What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award (AYLA). The AYLA is an existing programme that is offered across all key stages 1 to 4 to participating schools. The Award is completed by pupils and learners across England and Wales and is aimed at developing their leadership skills. The role is expected to lead and manage the effective delivery of this programme including design, quality assurance, engagement of strategic stakeholders and support the financial sustainability of the programme.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Talent and Careers Specialist to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed term contract currently until the end of March 2026, with the possibility this could be extended (though this isn’t guaranteed).

As Talent and Careers Specialist you will support the Talent & Careers Manager to design, implement and manage the organisation’s apprenticeship and career development offer. This includes developing and managing apprenticeships to address skills gaps and create opportunities for both new and existing employees, while supporting managers to embed meaningful career conversations and progression pathways.

The role involves creating resources and guidance to ensure apprenticeships and career development are focused with diversity and inclusion goals, and best practice. A key aspect of the role is liaising with apprenticeship training providers to source, select and manage high-quality provision, as well as monitoring and administering the apprenticeship levy account to maximise available funding. It also requires partnering with managers and key stakeholders to ensure apprentices and their line managers have a positive experience, whilst monitoring and evaluating the impact of programmes. About you

A Hybrid Role

This role will work across both frontline delivery and input into the administration of the Duty system that underpins all HHPA’s work. It’s anticipated the worker’s role will be split roughly 50/50 across both elements of the work. Having a staff member working across both will give us a valuable insight into how frontline and Duty can work better together.  It is also a good opportunity for the worker to gain experience in all aspects of project delivery, which could be a valuable first step for anyone interested in project management or leadership.

The Duty work

The HHPA Duty Team makes sure the Homeless Health Peer Advocacy service runs safely and smoothly. They handle bookings from partner organisations, match referrals with Peer Advocates, and organise all the practical details – like booking transport, giving travel directions, and confirming who will attend each appointment. They use a specially designed Salesforce database to keep track of appointments, update records, and measure the impact of the service. A key part of their job is running the Duty System, which checks Peer Advocates in and out of jobs so that everyone is safe and supported.

The team is also the main point of contact for partners, frontline staff, and volunteers. They answer questions, make sure referrals have all the right information, and keep everything running to schedule. They look after data security, maintain good relationships with partner agencies, and make sure volunteers and workers have what they need to do their work well. By taking care of the behind-the-scenes work, the Duty Team frees up the frontline team to focus on supporting people to attend healthcare appointments and improve their health.

The pan-London Caseworker work

We need this role to support people experiencing homelessness in Boroughs where support needs are extremely high, but where we don't have the capacity or flexibility through our other funding to meet their needs. Most of our Caseworkers are funded by individual Boroughs and can only work in that area.  This role will be able to work in any of the Boroughs where we deliver HHPA so will give us the flexibility to go to where the need is greatest rather than being fixed in a single local authority area. As a more senior role in our HHPA service, the Caseworker will use their skills and experience to focus on people in the most complex and difficult situations, including those grappling multiple connected issues around physical and mental health, addiction, trauma, disabilities, and more.

Sutton Trust Online (STO) has grown into a key strand of the Trust’s programme strategy, serving thousands of students each year through content, events, and interactive learning. The Digital Programmes Officer is a vital operational role that ensures the platform’s day-to-day activities run smoothly. Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world dedicated to women (and afab) with Fowler’s Syndrome or Chronic Idiopathic Urinary Retention; a life-changing and poorly understood bladder condition that causes full or partial urinary retention.

The CEO is excited to welcome a proactive, purpose-driven, and resourceful Communications and Engagement Lead to join their small and purposeful team and support the next phase in their journey.

In this multi-faceted role, you will ensure that women affected by Fowler’s Syndrome, clinicians, researchers, and the wider public are intimately connected to the charity’s work.You will enable smoother pathways for women seeking support and for healthcare professionals looking to access educational resource, while also leading on a range of communications activities and awareness campaigns.

You will take responsibility for coordinating and facilitating online patient groups, supporting in-person events, and helping to manage FSUK’s Patient Council. Tasked with overseeing the development of content such as patient resources, you will also advance wider engagement across projects and research programmes and ensure that communications, whether via newsletters, social channels, or the website, reflect the charity’s voice and values.

While having strategic oversight and leading on the management of FSUK’s digital platforms, including their WordPress website and database consisting of patients and supporters, you will also maintain the charity’s fundraising pages. Through managing FSUK’s social platforms, you will at times also interact with the charity’s online community, responding with empathy as you engage and signpost to appropriate services such as the FSUK helpline, ensuring people feel heard, informed, and supported.

Lastly, raising awareness of FSUK will be one strand of the communications output, however the primary focus is to enable stronger connections and deepen engagement and trust with their valued community.

Emotional intelligence and well defined interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having proficient organisational ability and the aptitude to multi-task when working independently within this small, yet fast-moving team.

A background in patient, community, or stakeholder engagement will also be a valuable asset, alongside exposure to working within the health, charity, or research sector. You will have demonstrable experience producing content, alongside a track record of managing digital and social platforms (particularly Instagram).

Lived experience of Fowler’s Syndrome is not essential but would be a welcome bonus!

Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues 

· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on 

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis 

· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation 

· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager 

The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Team Administrator

Overview

Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership (WTRRP) provide services to refugees, asylum-seekers and other vulnerable migrants in our area.

We are looking for a part-time Team Administrator to support us with administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of services we provide as well as support with the volunteer recruitment process. This post is funded by the National Lottery grant until February 2027 with possibilities of being extended. This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours a week and is office based in Watford.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills who understands the needs of our clients and partner organisations. In return we can offer you an interesting and rewarding role that enables you to give back to your community. We run a successful drop-in service every Tuesday from 11.30-1.30pm, a Social Hub for clients, as well as a number of ESOL classes. We have a full-time Caseworker and a part-time volunteer co-ordinator as well as over 60 volunteers.

Salary: £13,668 (£27,336 FTE)

Working hours: 18.5 hours per week, there is some flexibility regarding working days but must be available on a Tuesday.

Duration: This post is funded until Feb 2027 but, with good prospects of extension

Finance Business Partner 

Salary £46,000 - £51,000 per annum (dependant upon skills and experience) 

Location Remote - Travel to Whitby, Croft, Malton and Middlesbrough will be required on a monthly basis 

Purpose: 

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the directorates, department heads and regional budget holders (supporting multiple sites), ensuring the delivery of full and effective financial service. 

 The role is one of decision support: providing, analysing and interpreting management information to influence decision making and to deliver service improvements and efficiencies 

Partner with the directors and regional budget holders providing insight and understanding to ensure the Trust meets its financial objectives. 

Regularly spend time in our communities, working with our budget holders to understand and drive performance. 

Location & Travel: 

Remote. 

The role is mainly remote (home-based); however, you will be expected to regularly attend our Northern communities – Botton Village near Whitby, Croft in Malton and Larchfield in Middlesbrough. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Ownership of budget and forecasting process for your community/ directorate /depts operations. 

• Working as a team with the other Finance Business Partners, ensure a timely process and a high level of accuracy and engagement. 

• Compilation of the monthly management accounts, including KPI’s and explanations for major variances to budget. 

• Build and manage relationships and network productively. 

• Working with budget holders to provide insight and challenge the performance of operations identifying trends and opportunities for improved financial performance. 

• Responsible for all journal entries into the accounting system for the directorates, and departments they support e.g., accruals, prepayments etc. 

• Ensuring best practices is adhered at the communities and with budget holders so that they are compliant with organisation financial procedures. 

• Provision of support and guidance to operational staff to assist them in effective use of the Trust financial systems. 

• Monthly review of rotas, payroll, and commissioned income to identify any issues of overstaffing or commissioned rates. 

• Responsible for the Annual income review for any uplifts including annual housing rental review. 

• Ensuring sales invoicing is undertaken on a timely basis by the Assistant Finance Business Partner (as and when required). 

• Reconciliation of the Income proof in totals. 

• Effective credit control, to ensure receipts are received on a timely basis. 

• Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure all financial returns are completed and submitted Centrally on a timely basis e.g. weekly banking’s, year-end accounts etc. 

• Maintain a regular stock take and stock valuation process. 

• Responsible for review of relevant community expense (nominal) codes, ensuring income and expenditure is coded appropriately. 

• Line management of Assistant Finance Business Partner. 

General:

• Previous experience in an accounting role in the Charity or Housing Sectors.

• Experience/understanding of VAT partial exemption. 

• Knowledge of Fixed Assets and Accounting for Capital expenditure projects.
