Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

The Programme Lead role is the fulcrum for this new partnership programme, will be comfortable to lead within and outside of the organisation and in developing a new team to drive the programme to success. This role will excite you if you are an established programmes specialist who is energised by achieving social impact via meaningful delivery partnerships, which in this case are local carer organisations (Carers Trust Network Partners).

Job description 

Job Purpose 

• To provide a high-quality outreach support service that enables older adults with low level support needs to live independently within the community. 

• To a promote network services across the Boroughs to maximise their take-up. 

• To work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure appropriate services are accessed. 

• To ensure that service users have maximum choice and control over the planning and management of the service they receive, including initiating individual support plans and connecting them with culturally appropriate services. 

Key Tasks 

• To signpost people to appropriate services as required through outreach sessions in the Hub, Satellite centres, GP practices and pharmacies. 

• To develop shared working practices across the service network. 

• To work closely with providers of similar services 

• To work to agreed individual, team, and organisational objectives. 

• To work with existing activity groups at the hub and satellite centres and support the setting up of activities where appropriate. 

• To ensure all contacts with service users are recorded appropriately and to maintain an adequate filing system. 

• To use word-processing software to produce own correspondence and reports in accordance with relevant policy on confidentiality and data protection. 

• To collect monitoring information to enable the service to be evaluated. 

• To provide support to services outside of normal working hours and occasionally attend sessions when required.

• To assist co-ordinating service user client surveys/questionnaires as appropriate, collate feedback and evaluate the service provided. 

• To assist with the collection of data necessary to provide specific information needed for KPI’s and external requirements and outcomes. 

• To ensure all data is collected through AUKEL organisational customer relationship management data base systems. 

Quality 

• To be familiar with and to implement Age UK East London’s policies and procedures.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

To provide strategic oversight and operational management for Women in Prison services in Surrey. The role will focus on delivering Surrey Women’s CRS probation contract, which involves providing holistic one to one support and advocacy to women serving community orders, and will also focus on development of the Surrey programme.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Lead on the operational management and strategic oversight of the Surrey programme, ensuring high quality, trauma responsive services are delivered to women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
2. Provide effective leadership to the Surrey team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.

About you

About the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide debt advice and money education on a case management basis and to support the provision of advice by volunteers. The post holder will be expected to manage their own cases and lead appointment sessions.

The organisation’s mission is to ‘Restore Dignity and Renew Hope’ to those in our communities brought down by poverty and debt. The job holder will play their part in bringing this vision to reality, supporting clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations, to get back on their feet and realise their full potential.

The role combines both technical and pastoral elements. The role will involve building a client case, untangling sometimes complex situations, liaising with creditors, providing guidance for volunteers, and discerning and communicating the appropriate choices and strategies for the client. But you will also need to lead client appointments and support clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations.

We are looking for someone with prior debt advice experience who ideally has experience in leading and supervising volunteers.

Essential skills and experience of the Case Manager include:

• Previous experience in providing regulated debt advice on a case management basis
• Being a DRO intermediary would be an advantage
• Demonstrable experience in providing person-focused support to clients who may be vulnerable
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to show empathy, compassion and patience
• Sound IT skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite

 PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Support Service Manager make the very best use of our resources and ensure the delivery of dynamic, flexible and innovative trauma-informed support services to women and girls who have experienced sexual and/or domestic abuse. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing the team of Coordinators and Team Leaders to provide innovative and creative approaches to delivering best outcomes for survivors, as well as supporting the team in their own individual and professional development. Responsible for the development of new services as well as embedding best practice across all projects, the role will oversee data collection across the services and contribute to the delivery of TWCC OCN accredited training to staff and volunteer as well as external/partner organisations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that all women accessing TWCC Support Services receive a high quality, trauma informed service that meets their needs
• To work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Services to manage multiple funding streams.
• Explore and implement innovative strategies to ensure equitable access to support services for individuals on the waiting list, while creatively managing and reducing waiting times to enhance overall service efficiency.
• Build and lead an effective and motivated team, promoting a culture of empowerment, continuous improvement and trauma-informed care
• Oversee effective management of the waiting list and find ways to manage effectively by improving existing systems and procedures

Citizens Advice Richmond (CAR) is a thriving advice organisation that is part of the national Citizens Advice network. To be responsible for the successful delivery of ELBA’s Dragon Award Nominated Evolve Project, delivering exciting, innovative employer-supported volunteering projects that meet the expectations of specific corporate supporters, and the needs of the community with a key geographical focus in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Haringey.

About Evolve

The Evolve Project is a collaborative partnership between Linklaters, UBS, Societe Generale and the Societe Generale UK Foundation, delivered by ELBA. Overall, the Evolve project aims to address the wider barriers and challenges faced in society & by community organisations & charities with a particular focus on Hackney and its surrounding boroughs of Tower Hamlets & Haringey. The project does this through supporting community organisations who are addressing different barriers like post Covid recovery, and the cost-of-living crisis, alongside continuing challenges of funding & sustainability.

Evolve aims to build the capacity of thee organisations, especially supporting the leadership, so they can keep up with the increased demand they are experiencing. Evolve has been designed to dynamically respond to the changing needs of local community organisations, drawing on the time, skills and expertise of employee volunteers to address the most pressing community challenges. The project is currently in its fourth year with funding secured for the following two years.

The role requires an ability to build a close and collaborative relationship across the community sector, particularly in Hackney, as well as with the corporate funders. A key focus is developing and delivering a range of exciting employee volunteering activities (including the Leaders in Partnership and Emerging Leaders coaching programmes) as well as leading monthly delivery and quarterly steering group meetings with the three business partners to ensure volunteer engagement and session development is meeting the aims and objectives of the project.

Job Description

Key Evolve duties

● Responsible for day-to-day development and delivery of the Evolve project

● Collaborate closely with community partners, corporate partners and the ELBA team to understand community needs and design appropriate employee volunteering activities to address these needs

● Deliver a range of employee volunteering opportunities focused on capacity building for local community organisations within the geographical remit

● Build and maintain strong relationships with Evolve partners’ Corporate Responsibility teams by organising regular meetings and responding promptly to company requests

● Develop and promote a range of employee volunteering opportunities to corporate partners and manage delivery of volunteer requests

● Organise delivery of monthly delivery meetings and quarterly project steering group meetings including preparation of supporting documents and minute taking

Main duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK employment law and best practices.

Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence.

You will manage, develop and market Hospital Discharge and Health & Wellbeing Services in Bromley and Greenwich and work in partnership with other providers. · The work will include some on call responsibilities on evenings and weekends for the Hospital Discharge Services which an extra payment will be made.

· To work in partnership with other providers and health partners across both boroughs.

· To work within the Bromley Well partnership and maintain contact with BTSE

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.

Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

This is a fixed term position to November 2025.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.

· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.

· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families.

· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.

· Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.

· Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.

· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.

· Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.

· Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.

· Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.

· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
• Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.

• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things.
• Act as duty officer for Wiltshire, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota. Duty shifts will be 9 – 5 in the Trowbridge Office.
• To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
• Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
• To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

Groups and Activities

• Work with the Childrens and Families Team Manager to develop and deliver, a group work intervention for young people.
• Assist with recruiting children and young people to be involved in the development of groups or activities, providing them with on-going support.
• Run groups for children and young people following a planned programme.

General
