Job Purpose:
This is a new role to transform our current “Supporter Care” team into one that leads our Individual Giving programme. At present the team is focused on thanking donors for gifts to our charity and supporters for undertaking challenges and events as well as organising our lab tours and tiles programme. The introduction of a major automation project in the charity will reduce this team’s workload whilst at the same time decreasing the amount of time taken to thank donors and supporters. Once that project is fully implemented we want this team to expand its remit to include a wider programme of proactively supporting our donors and supporters throughout their journey with the charity and thus to increase the amount raised through these channels.
This job will be a challenging one with a changing focus. The initial focus is very much process-driven – bedding in the automation and getting all of our processes humming so that everyone is thanked within one working week of their donation, but once that’s done the focus needs to move to both wider care of our supporters and growth of the income channel.

Requisite Skills and Experience:
Essential:
· Outstanding organisation skills.

Main duties:
· To be the owner of all thanking processes so that every supporter and donor receives an appropriate thank you withing one working week of their donation or the end of their fundraising activity.
· To embed the new processes from our automation solution, recommending changes that are required and adapting other processes to ensure the most efficient overall system for all team members involved in thanking.
· To support and develop your direct reports so that they are working efficiently and effectively and have a rewarding role at the charity. To conduct regular 1-1s with them as well as quarterly reviews and annual appraisals.
· Ensure accurate recording of all processes and outputs from the team – primarily on our CRM database.
· To ensure that our Lab Tour and Tiles process is run effectively and efficiently. This process is managed by a member of the team, but remains the responsibility of the team manager.
· To develop our understanding of the data relating to our individual giving and to recommend
· To develop additional ways of valuing our supporters and donors through their journey with us (cards, phone calls etc).
· To develop additional ways of generating income from our individual donors (appeals etc).
· Deputise for colleagues as necessary to ensure that your team’s activities continue during periods of leave/absence.
· To comply with Brain Tumour Research’s internal policies, comply with relevant charity and other legislation and to undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

About the role:

About the role:
This role is based at our West Bromwich office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 12pm to 8pm.
As a Caseworker you will:

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building. Situated in the centre of Guildford, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.
We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Guildford Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Safety and security
- Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming
- Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
- Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development
- Record all incidents and accidents and share appropriately with the wider team, your manager and, if necessary, the central safeguarding team
Engagement with residents
- Welcome residents home and provide informal and responsive support so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
- Ensure resident’s views, aspirations, concerns, and ideas are sought so they can play an active role in influencing the services they receive
- Proactively promote the services on offer and ensure residents are encouraged to engage with those services
- Contribute to, or support, evening groupwork activities so that residents can access tailored solutions that meet their needs, wishes and aspirations
Administration and housekeeping
- Undertake tasks as directed, including but not limited to: inputting data, assessments, reviews, case notes onto our client database and entering new residents details/closing ex-resident records
- Completing health and safety/compliance checks, and recording estate inspectors and room checks
- Adding maintenance requests to our property services system
General
- Work as part of a team, on a rota four on four off shift pattern, alongside another Housing Night Worker, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective at night, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

About this exciting opportunity
As Women’s Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will be female adults aged 18 years and above on remand and unsentenced within Cambridgeshire. This role will involve completing Trauma Informed assessments and developing, in collaboration with each service user, action plans which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.
We will also rely on you to create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users and to deliver a range of interventions which contribute towards achieving pre-determined targets. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales are both essential aspects of the role, as is providing updates and reports, where required, using a range of formats.
What we are looking for
- Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.
- Experience of working with young adults and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused Experience in delivery of 1:1 and group coaching solutions, including preparation and delivery of skills and learning.
- Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project.

About Activate
Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith. Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms. A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project.
In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities. The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes.
About your team
With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. About the role:
This role is home based in North Cumberland with regular travel to meet clients & colleagues as well as attending meetings.
As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) you will be: -
- providing a high quality, pro-active service to victims of sexual violence and abuse (including children and young people), supporting those at highest risk and need.
- working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Bridgeway SARC and other local partnership responses to sexual violence.
- working with survivors and other agencies to monitor the care pathway, including risk assessment, helping clients access their rights and supporting with any other services they require.
You will need: -
More than anything the right attitude and a willingness to learn are key to becoming an ISVA. Experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social or community setting would be an advantage although we would be keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate how your skills and experience can be applied to this role.
You must have extensive experience of planning and delivering caseloads, with strong crisis management skills and an understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence. An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post although candidates with the right approach and a willingness work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.
To be successful in this role you should have good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues and an understanding of the effects a court appearance can have on victims and witnesses of crime are also essential.

In 2024, the Church adopted a Strategy to embed the Methodist Conference’s Justice-Seeking Church Report in local churches, across the Connexional Team and throughout the life of Methodism.
The Justice-Seeking Church Officer will shape and develop this work across all levels of the Church in creative and innovative ways, identifying opportunities and responding to challenges. They will strengthen leadership for justice across churches, and enable collaboration across programmes and issues. They will enable theological reflection and will lead on shaping the vital emerging work around participation of people with lived experience of poverty.
You will be a member of the Justice Team but work collaboratively with many others. You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in the implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.
In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:
- Developing and embedding key areas of the Justice-Seeking Church strategy in churches and the Methodist Connexional Team
- Strengthening leadership in social justice and social action
- Developing opportunities for faith formation and theological engagement
- Developing new work around the leadership and participation of people with lived experience of poverty

- Experience in building influence and motivating wide a range of people and groups
- Effective and strategic communication skills
- Experience of enabling people to reflect theologically on justice issues

Hours: 37.5 per week (flexible working considered, working a minimum of 0.9 FTE/33.75 hours per week)
Location: Between both sites – Winchester Science Centre (WSC), Winchester, SO21 1HZ, and Wonderseekers HQ, Eastleigh, SO50 9DE. Onsite presence is essential for the majority of this role, however occasional remote working is possible for a small proportion of time – this can be discussed at the interview stage.
Work pattern: Usually Monday to Friday working during office hours. Occasional out of hours work will be required. The charity operates 7 days a week.
Salary: Between £40,000 - £43,500 per annum (1 FTE)

1. The Role
The Head of Audiences is a new leadership role in the Commercial Operations team designed to ensure that audience insight and segmentation are at the heart of everything we do. This role will lead on understanding who our current and prospective audiences are, how they engage with us and what they need now and in the future. You will use this insight to guide programming, marketing, visitor experience at Winchester Science Centre but as we evolve our Charity’s reach and engagement you will play an important role in ensuring we fulfil our ambitious plans and reaching a diverse community. By building an inclusive and evidence-based audience strategy, this role will enable Winchester Science Centre to grow reach and engagement, deepen impact and fulfil its charitable mission to inspire a lifetime of curiosity in science.
The role is part of the Commercial Operations team led by the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Head of Programming and Head of Visitor Experience. However, you will work with the wider leadership and their teams to ensure that both the community programme and on-site experience are insight-led, responsive to audience needs, and relevant to a wide range of segments. It plays a key role in championing access, equity and inclusion across all areas of the Charity’s work.
As we embark on a chapter of significant growth, you will play a pivotal role in identifying the audiences and ensuring they sit at the heart of our decision making. You will work with key stakeholders across the business, including our Children’s Voice, to ensure the Charity can achieve its commercial and impact objectives. At the heart of that conversation is a deep understanding of our audiences through geo-demographic and / or psychographic audience segmentation, that you will lead on.
You will lead a small team, with the potential for growth, comprising a Marketing Officer and a Digital Content and Brand Producer. Together, you will be responsible for driving bold, creative campaigns that are grounded in audience insight, developing engaging content across all channels, and supporting the evolution of our brand to reflect the diversity and ambition of our mission. As the team grows, you will shape its direction, nurture talent, and ensure alignment between strategy and delivery across all audience touchpoints.
2. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the organisation’s audience strategy, embedding a data-led approach that informs programme development, marketing and wider organisational planning and offer.
· Lead the audiences' team to deliver high impact campaigns that delivers on organisational objectives and visitation targets, that contributes to the continued brand development of Wonderseekers and Winchester Science Centre.
· Use your expertise in audience segmentation to design, shape and oversee the delivery of multi-channel marketing strategies that maximises return on investment and successfully drives visitation and audience engagement targets.
· Gather, analyse and communicate audience insight using internal data, commissioned research and external benchmarking to build a shared understanding of current and potential audiences.
· Develop strategic campaigns to deliver audience growth with a focus on breadth (reach), depth (repeat engagement), equity (inclusive access) and impact (positive change).
· Collaborate with the Head of Programming to ensure audience needs, motivations and barriers directly inform the content, tone and timing of all programmes.
· Collaborate with the Development team to identify and align target audiences for new exhibitions and experiences.
· Collaborate with the fundraising team to ensure audience alignment for fundraising activities.
· Champion a culture of audience-centred decision-making across the organisation, ensuring all teams understand and use segmentation to shape their work and programmes.
· Provide actionable insight to the marketing team to refine messaging, campaign targeting, content tone and channel strategy by segment.
· Work in partnership with the Head of Visitor Experience to ensure audience insight and segmentation inform all aspects of the on-site experience including welcome, signage, wayfinding, service tone, flow and accessibility.
· Ensure programme, marketing and visitor experience are aligned to deliver a coherent, satisfying and inclusive journey for every audience group.
· Evaluate the audience experience across all touchpoints, using qualitative and quantitative feedback to support continuous improvement and operational learning.
· Contributing with the Head of Equity, Community, and Outreach to access and inclusion planning, ensuring physical, cultural and digital barriers are identified and addressed through evidence and audience consultation.
· Lead the piloting and testing of new engagement approaches, using segmentation insight to design and evaluate innovative offers across programme and experience.
· Collaborate with the Head of Digital Infrastructure and our web developers to ensure CRM, ticketing and digital platforms support effective tracking, evaluation and personalisation by audience segment
· Build internal capability by supporting colleagues to interpret and apply audience insight in their own work across programming, schools, visitor experience and marketing.
· Report regularly to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, sharing insight on audience trends, performance, and opportunities for future growth.
· Represent the organisation externally at relevant stakeholder events, networks and sector forums to share learning and maintain visibility.
· Manage the department budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated to maximise insight, impact, engagement, and visitation.
· Actively participate in senior leadership meetings and planning processes, ensuring key audience insight is integrated into organisational decision-making.

Special Circumstances
There may be occasional work, meetings and events in evenings, early mornings and at weekends which will be compensated by time off in lieu. Additional overtime would be arranged only with agreement of both the employee and line manager. Occasional travel may be required.

Essential skills and experience
- Significant experience in using geo-demographic and / or psychographic audience insights in a cultural, visitor attraction or charitable setting to drive visitation and engagement.
- Expertise and experience in developing and applying segmentation models to inform marketing, visitor experience and programming strategies.
- Demonstrable experience in leading, creating and delivering audience-led marketing campaigns that have achieved significant step changes in engagement, visitation or other key performance outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex data into actionable strategy and influence decision-making across teams.
- Experience in co-creating programmes or campaigns with diverse or underserved audience groups.
- Strong understanding of evaluation and impact measurement tools (e.g. surveys, focus groups, behavioural data, CRM analytics).
- Confident working across multiple departments and building organisational capability in audience understanding.
- Strong facilitation, presentation and reporting skills.
