The Supporter Services Team Leader will be responsible for promoting and delivering excellent supporter care to existing, potential and previous supporters of Battersea, developing relationships and maximising income for Battersea.
They will be a point of escalation for the supporter services team and will support and develop a team of volunteers. The role will lead on key fundraising products, proactively sharing information with stakeholders.

Objectives

• Provide first line of support to Supporter Services Administrators to ensure donations are processed promptly and efficiently and update the Income Generation database with accurate donation and supporter information
• Prepare and share weekly rota's allocating tasks per day for Supporter Services Administrators
• Ensure that volunteers, who assist the team to handle supporter enquiries, are appropriately recruited, trained and supported
• Decide the workload of the volunteers to get the maximum mutual benefit
• Take the lead on key products working with product owners to ensure the best supporter care
• Review and improve the volunteer team’s outputs for quality and accuracy, suggesting and implementing improvements as necessary
• Act within all relevant legislation and sector best practice, including PCI DSS compliance, the Data Protection Act, Gift Aid rules and regulations and the Institute of Fundraising and Fundraising Regulator codes of conduct

No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows: 

Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. About the role

In this role you'll be a vital member of a highly talented, customer focused and enthusiastic helpdesk team who act as the first point-of-contact for end users.

A service desk expert you'll take pride in resolving almost all issues as they arise. Quick to learn, enthusiastic and self-motivated, you’ll ensure that our central knowledge base is always updated so other team members can learn from your successes and overall performance is maintained and improved.

With a high percentage of customers supporting our work in Retail, you’ll participate in a weekend cover rota, allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours/week – staggered in accordance with the support rota.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract covering an internal secondment.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office. 
 
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, approximately three days a week. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours per week covering a rota schedule (the team cover 8am to 6pm every day).
 
The role will also participate in a weekend cover rota allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. This will be in the region of 1 weekend in 4-6.
 
About you

With previous service desk experience, having working in the SD environment previously, you'll have excellent customer service and communication skills, being used to working in a busy service desk team. You'll also have excellent telephone and customer handling skills to back up your technical and fault diagnosis experience. 

You’ll have strong troubleshooting skills, keeping the Customer informed of progress against their respective issues, ensuring an effective follow-up to ensure all service has been delivered and completed to the Customer's satisfaction.

With good knowledge of Windows OS (Win 10 and above), you’ll also have knowledge of LAN/WAN networking essentials and extensive experience of MS Office suite of Applications (2010 and above). You’ll have previous experience with administration of Users within Active Directory and Remote Support Tools (i.e. VNC, RDP etc.).

You'll have good knowledge of ticket and case management techniques, able to manage your own queues and workload to meet demand. You’ll be able to remain calm and focused, and will have strong organisational skills, able to use prioritisation and escalation techniques, and able to develop strong working relationships with the team and contacts across the organisation.

About the Service

Income generation and fundraising at Solace is ambitious, dynamic and rewarding. This role is situated within the Business Development team working alongside our award-winning Communications, Partnerships & Public Affairs team.

We are seeking forward thinking, creative and motivated individuals who can manage both community and challenge events as well as wider fundraising support.

This is an important time for Solace and this role will contribute to achieve sustainable growth to support our work to end violence against woman and girls.

Most importantly, the team aims to develop new responses to the changing ways in which women experience violence against them.  The team is seeking to generate £2m+ net new income in the year ahead. 

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, passionate Fundraising Officer to join our team delivering a range of fundraising initiatives. Be part of a dynamic, exciting team as we expand our fundraising capacity and explore new areas of income generation, raising vital funds for our life-saving services.

Working closely with the Fundraising Managers this role will be vital in achieving our fundraising strategy and income targets. You will focus on individual giving, challenge events, community fundraising and digital campaigns as well as supporting the team in other fundraising areas. This will be a varied role in a fast-paced environment, suited to someone looking to take the next step in their fundraising career.

You will contribute to the overall objectives of the Business Development Team, especially the Fundraising Team, with the aim of building relationships and partnerships, raising profile and funds, and working cohesively with the team.

About You

• Proven experience in delivering community fundraising and challenge event initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences in a range of formats.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in IT, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and CRM databases. Experience with Salesforce and creative design tools such Canva is desirable.
• A strong understanding of, and commitment to, equity, diversity, and inclusion - particularly within the context of the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector.
• Committed to continuous learning, professional development, and self-improvement.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, using initiative and sound judgment.

The ideal candidate will be engaged and willing to learn with a proven track record of delivering support services within the charity sector.
