Job Purpose
The Head of Community will work with the Director of Services on strategic and operational planning and provide operational leadership for the range of Community services delivered by Age UK East London.
The purpose of this role is to:
• Take responsibility for the delivery of Age UK East London’s Community Service offer, ensuring its delivery requirements are met and we are responsive to new opportunities.
• Ensure that older people who are supported by the Community team also benefit from the range of AUKEL services and those provided by other local partners.
• Be an active member of our SLT, working with senior leaders across AUKEL, contributing your experience and expertise to problem solve, spot and develop opportunities as well as make an impact on our overall organisational development
journey.
• Build responsive and accountable relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including commissioners, partner providers, senior health and social care professionals.
• Motivate and inspire a frontline staff and volunteer team, using excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of key issues affecting older people.
• Ensure the services are meeting all KPI’s for quality and delivery, overseeing data management and analysis to ensure compliance and insight that supports future development and demonstration of impact, taking a continuous improvement
approach.
• Ensure service staffing and delivery arrangements are optimal, including by assessing which services need allocated staff and which would be better delivered by a central team.
• Ensuring processes and good practice is embedded in case recording, reporting and data collection.
Key Tasks
Coordination and Management of service
• Line manage service managers and coordinators, and oversee the good management of all service staff.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual requirements
• Work with other senior managers, ensuring good joined up internal referral pathways, clear communication and joint-working where possible
• Ensure the team is fully conversant with the organisation’s CRM and that this is used effectively to record and manage casework and evidence of outcomes and impact of the service
• Ensure the team is knowledgeable about the local service offers and are effective in referring and signposting clients to other relevant services
• Complete and maintain relevant risk assessments.
• Ensure there is cover for gaps in service delivery (e.g. due to A/L or sickness).
• Support team members to supervise volunteers effectively
• Support implementation of any organisation-wide operational changes
• Regularly attend meetings with external professionals as necessary in relation to operational management and delivery of services
Quality and Insight
• Produce quarterly KPI monitoring and evaluation reports for each contract as required to include data, case studies and insight on service delivery and opportunities
• Produce quarterly insight to the Board of Trustees at committee level
• Monitor compliance in record keeping around key areas
• Continuously review and monitor services with the aim of improving quality, flexibility, responsiveness and effectiveness, and to identify and respond to new opportunities
General
• Develop and nurture supportive and collaborative relationships with local community, voluntary and faith partners.
• Identify, explore and develop new opportunities that address the needs of local older people.
• Lead the development and delivery of current and future commissioned community services in AUKEL.
• Work with senior colleagues to conduct ongoing ‘horizon scanning’ of changes in national and local priorities and approaches to services, to maximise opportunities and identify upcoming challenges for older people
• Work with local partners to share best practice and develop opportunities to work together
• Develop strategic relationships in the local health and social care system, to gain insights and inroads to future opportunities and build service reputation and influence.
• Continuously gain feedback from the team in considering how the service can develop further, for example around reach, client journey and other areas.

of the Community team.

Purpose of the role:
The Head of Fellowship is responsible for the delivery of the Churchill Fellowship’s annual Fellowship Programme, overseeing all stages from pre-application support, through selection and award, to Fellows’ global learning. Key Responsibilities
Delivery of Fellowship Programme:
- Lead on and manage the full Fellowship selection process, from pre-application to final award, ensuring alignment with TCF’s EDI values and strategic priorities.
- Continuously review and improve application and selection process, documentation, and candidate guidance.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to applicants at all stages of the selection process.
Overseas Learning:
- Oversee the support provided to Fellows during their overseas learning, working closely with the Fellowship Manager to ensure guidance and resources meet individual needs.
- Authorise Fellowship grant payments for overseas learning, ensuring compliance with Fellowship model guidelines and organisational policies.
Collaboration and Engagement
- Contribute to the design of new Fellowship programmes, led by the Engagement team, and lead on operationalising these programmes during the application cycle.
- Continue to develop your own knowledge to ensure applicants and Fellows receive high-quality support and guidance throughout the process.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of the Fellowship programme.
- Represent TCF at Fellow-led and other relevant sector events as appropriate.
Safeguarding, EDI, and Fellowship Model
- Act as a member of the Designated Safeguarding Team, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Lead on embedding EDI principles throughout the Fellowship model, working with the Chief Executive, Head of Activate and People and Culture Manager to ensure that accessibility, fairness and inclusivity are built into every stage of the process.
- Work with the Fellowship Director to continually enhance the candidate and panellist experience.
- Partner with the Salesforce team to ensure systems and processes support the successful programme delivery.
- Stay informed of sector trends, research, and innovative and equitable approaches to supporting individuals to learn and grow, applying learning to TCF’s work.
- Work with the Fellowship Manager and team to ensure risk assessments, insurance and safety plans for Fellows’ travel and events are proportionate, meet best practice and are compliant.
- Maintain awareness of global and societal trends that may impact Fellows’ safety and/or the design of the Fellowship model.

Summary of the role:
The Campaigns Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of MAUK’s campaigns. Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a full-time LGBT IDVA covering Birmingham and the West Midlands to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

Main Duties
·Provide independent advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of domestic violence.
·Work with survivors from the point of crisis and offer intensive support to help ensure short-term and long-term safety.
·Maintain multi-agency links and partnerships through protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors of domestic violence.
·Empower service users by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, empowering them to make decisions and increasing their life options.
·Inform survivors of full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
Casework Management
·To advise and support LGBT survivors of domestic violence.
·To undertake advocacy casework, working with survivors following an initial assessment of their needs, working within a structured key-working relationship.
·To provide one-to-one-emotional, practical, legal and advocacy support to survivors through the development of an individual support plan, including risk assessments, safety planning and assistance in accessing other relevant services such as the police, counselling, housing, and legal services.
·To support LGBT survivors of domestic violence who are going through the criminal justice system.
·To develop and maintain good working relationships and links with other agencies, referring service users to appropriate specialist agencies where necessary as part of a support plan and in consultation with them.
·To ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to in line with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and are brought to the immediate attention of the line manager.
·To deliver training on LGBT domestic violence.
·To work within Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Management
·To participate in the collection and maintenance of information on relevant referral agencies and local services.
·To ensure high quality and effective statistical monitoring is undertaken at all times in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.
·To produce monitoring reports as requested by the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.
·To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of contact details and interventions, ensuring that personal information is up-to-date and that it is kept secure and confidential at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.
·To ensure that feedback from service users and agencies is actively sought to inform the continuous improvement and development of the service.
Professional Development and Training
·To keep up-to-date with developments in legislation, policy and local and national government initiatives that address domestic violence.

Our new structure and our new ways of working will bring all of these services together under one delivery model launching next year. We're creating a new virtual support hub to bring together everything our community needs to manage their MS or support and care for someone living with MS.
Our Head of National Services is a key leadership role in our Services and Support directorate, as part of our Services Delivery function.
Our National Services delivery team includes our ‘’National Hub’’ (or Helpline) as well as our Specialist/Peer/Self Management Services.
Our Head of National Services will be:
- leading on the delivery and continuous improvement of our National services, developing a high-performing and motivated culture within teams.
- providing clear leadership to ensure our National services are high quality, impactful and respond directly to the needs of the MS community
- responsible for the growth in the reach of our National Services, ensuring that we increasingly represent the diversity of the entire MS community and that decisions are driven by local need.
We’re looking for:
- extensive experience of leading successful national services of a similar type and scale as those at the MS Society, including helplines, remote and digital services.

The role

We are looking for two exceptional Heads of Philanthropy to join our team to significantly increase philanthropic income for faculty fundraising priorities across King’s College London.Within your application, please indicate which position you are applying to, or if you are happy to be considered for both positions.
One role will lead the Health, Science & Technology philanthropy team, and the other will lead the Arts & Social Sciences philanthropy team. Candidates will need to demonstrate curiosity and genuine interest in the academic areas that fall within the role, and work in partnership with King’s experts and other stakeholders to be successful.
King’s has an ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for Faculties as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising and engagement campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029. There is currently at least one major gift fundraiser working in each Faculty. Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
We are looking for someone with a proven track-record of developing new, high value relationships, with experience of closing gifts at the six- and seven- figure level. They will need to demonstrate that they understand what is required to build and scale prospect portfolios. They should be intellectually curious and energised by the depth and breadth of King’s academic expertise, with particular interest and passion to work with senior university leaders and academics to secure funding for a range of priorities across either the Arts and Social Sciences, or Health, Science & Technology portfolio.
Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function in advance of the launch of the university’s next public fundraising campaign. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office, on King’s campuses or meeting donors externally. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- A proven track record of identifying, cultivating and securing six- and seven- figure gifts from major donors
- Strong leadership skills, with experience of managing a high-performing fundraising or major gifts fundraising team
- The ability to negotiate throughout a large, complex environment with multi-dimensional points of view
- Ability to plan strategically and implement those plans
- Proven track record in establishing, monitoring, and achieving demanding targets, including income and activity metrics
- Confidence and experience of working effectively with, and influencing, senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, including an ability to write and speak eloquently and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all backgrounds
- Willingness to attend or work at, where necessary, commitments outside of normal working hours
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within, or working knowledge of, higher education sector in the UK
- Experience of working in the public or voluntary sectors
- Experience of working with a CRM or fundraising database

These roles will have three interview stages, a first-stage standard skills-based interview followed by a more in-depth second-stage interview and presentation, and (for up to two appointable candidates) a Core Values interview.
First stage interviews are due to be held on Tuesday 25th November.

Core Values interviews are due to be held on w/c 8th December.
