The HR Officer will provide expert support and advice to operational management in all areas of HR whilst consistently demonstrating HR best practice. The HR Officer will be the initial point of contact for all operational HR related matters. The HR Officer will proactively assist with the development and achievement of the team and the Organisational outcomes on any Dimensions strategy.

This is a Home-Based role with some occasional travel across the region so essential you are based in Wales.

We are looking for HR Officer(s) to cover 37.5 hours – we are a flexible working employer and therefore this can either be one full time or two part time positions.

The full-time salary for this role is £31,806 and will be pro-rata'd as appropriate if part-time hours are agreed for the successful candidate(s).

About the role: Your main duties will include: 

• Providing first level advice and guidance on HR Policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues with the guidance of the HR Business partner as required.
• Advising and supporting Locality Managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance improvement cases
• Ensure the provision of appropriate, timely and accurate management information to support strategy development, management decision making and improve the effectiveness of HR Services as and when required.
• Review sickness absence and undertake relevant interventions, including referrals to Occupational Health and advice to Locality Managers on phased return

One billion people will never see a qualified health worker in their lives. For over thirty years, GHP has been working to change this, training health workers to build a world where everyone has access to affordable and quality healthcare. The programme has contributed to more effective and efficient health systems in low- and middle- income countries (LMICs).1 It also benefits the UK health sector through improved health professional competencies, motivation, health service innovations and global influence.2 GHP’s work is rooted in the Health Partnership Model. Health partnerships are long-term, institutional relationships between health organisations in the UK and their counterparts in LMICs, and are based on ideas of co-development, reciprocal learning and mutual benefit. Staff from UK health institutions volunteer their time developing and carrying out health systems strengthening activities at their LMIC partner institution, be that training, curriculum development, leadership and governance, etc. 

UFUQ project overview:

The project is strategically designed to uplift the health conditions of the Syrian population. It addresses critical elements of health workforce management and medical education in Syria, aiming for a transformative impact on health outcomes in the region. 

Specialized Medical Education Enhancement: 

UFUQ aims to enable targeted specialties in Syria to play a pivotal role in advancing medical education and practice. This encompasses a comprehensive review, update, and rollout of curricula, teaching, and assessment materials in emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and anaesthesiology. The project focuses on strengthening capacities in medical education, clinical/CPD areas, English language proficiency, research skills, and fostering scientific collaboration and partnership among and between faculties, residents, and international peers.

Rooted in the UFUQ philosophy, this intervention believes that by strengthening the systems and capacities for specialized medical education, the quality and accessibility of specialist health services will be markedly improved. The UFUQ project envisions a transformative approach contributing to the broader goal of achieving universal health coverage and delivering better-quality care in Syria. 

Objective of the Position 

The Technical Manager Medical Education will provide technical expertise to ensure the project and partners are all working to a shared vision for Post Graduate Medical education and that all are delivering within appropriate technical requirements and standards.  The position will coordinate with stakeholders, supervise technical staff, and ensure the program aligns with the project log frame and best practices in health workforce development and medical education. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure technical alignment of the UFUQ project with HRH strategies and medical education reforms in Syria. 

• Provide overarching technical leadership and guidance to ensure that all project’s Medical Education strengthening activities are aligned with international best practices in postgraduate medical education and health workforce development.

• Ensure technical coherence and alignment of project interventions with the log frame, theory of change, and objectives approved by the donor and Syrian partners. 

• Oversee the quality assurance of technical deliverables, including research, training curricula, and policy frameworks developed under the UFUQ project, and ensure their relevance, scientific validity, and GESI sensitivity. 

• Promote capacity-building efforts, and quality assure ToT programs for HRH actors at national and sub-national levels. 

• Lead the technical coordination and engagement with key stakeholders, including MoH, Syrian Board, academic institutions, professional associations, and international partners (e.g., RCOG, RCEM)., to strengthen technical collaborations within the UFUQ project and to ensure integration and complementarity across all project activities.

• Support the localisation of the Postgraduate Medical Education Diploma and other training efforts, guiding National partners (Center of Strategic Studies and Health training” and Syrian Board) teams in the adoption of the tools, standards, and accreditation systems. 

• Contribute to sustainability planning by supporting the development of Terms of Reference and standard operating procedures for the Specialties Technical Committees. 

• Represent the program in technical meetings with donors, MoH, and other HRH actors.

• Ensure that GESI is integrated across all tracks by supervising the GESI specialist, reviewing curricula and training plans, and leading the technical team in implementing inclusive strategies. 

• Promote mechanisms for feedback from women healthcare workers and residents, and ensure their needs are addressed in planning and implementation. 

• Support In-Country efforts for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) to align with UFUQ project indicators and outcomes.

• Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, or inconsistencies in project delivery and propose corrective actions in coordination with the Program Lead and donor if required. 

• Provide rapid-response technical input when issues arise in curriculum roll-out, clinical mentoring, or institutional engagement. 

• Lead the design and planning of new or amended technical activities.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Medical Education preferably with experience in developing postgraduate medical education programmes. 

• Experience working in a senior position in NGO context (Syrian context is preferred). 

• Previous experience in stakeholder coordination, policy analysis, and capacity building. 

• Strong understanding of GESI-sensitive approaches in health workforce planning and governance. 

• Excellent representational, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. 

• Organisational and administrative skills with sound IT skills (Word and Excel). 

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 

• Flexibility and adaptability to work independently in a small organisation and in a complex environment.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.

The Role

As Diocesan Director of Ordinands, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and discerning vocations to ordained ministry within the Church of England. Job Profile

CAFOD’s mission in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and equip Catholics to actively engage in the Church’s efforts to overcome poverty and injustice. Our regional teams focus on recruiting and supporting a dedicated group of volunteers within parish and school communities, empowering them to educate, engage, and inspire others to act in solidarity for the common good. Regional teams also collaborate with clergy and other representatives across the Catholic community to ensure CAFOD’s volunteer programme is aligned with faith life.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and communications support to the Community Participation Coordinators across England and Wales, with a focus on the West & Wales region as the first point of contact. This includes coordinating administrative tasks performed by office volunteers and identifying opportunities for process improvements. This role can be based anywhere in the UK including our head office in London, working from home, from one of CAFOD’s Volunteer Centres, or a combination of both. • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with extensive experience in financial management within a charity or non-profit sector.
• Strong experience in preparing accounts, managing audits, and financial reporting.
• Experience with grant management, including financial administration, claims processing, and reporting in relation to large-scale funding programmes.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights to the Board and other stakeholders.

Job Purpose:

· By undertaking community-led research in priority areas to examine the impact of health and social care services, its pathways and make any recommendations for change.

· Healthwatch can monitor and review how local services are planned and run (except for social care facilities for children and young people) and have the statutory power to ‘Enter and View’ premises delivering health and social care services. This enables authorised representatives of Healthwatch to observe the nature and quality of services, report on their findings and make recommendations so that local authorities and health services can exercise their duty to respond.

KEY TASKS:

To work closely with the Healthwatch NN Advisory Group and the Support Northamptonshire’s CEO to:

1. Fulfil Healthwatch NN’s statutory purpose, contractual requirements and its strategic and operational plans and objectives.

2. Contribute and challenge at a strategic level, influencing and shaping decisions made by commissioners and providers, in line with the vision and priorities of Healthwatch NN.

3. Implement a project management approach to the design and delivery of all workplan activity and deliver on respective programme areas including:

6. Lead on all communications with Healthwatch England, the CQC and other national partners, ensuring the timely distribution of intelligence collated locally, and escalating matters of serious concerns.

7. To lead and undertake research and issue led investigations. in priority areas, provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on key data, ensuring projects and reports are achieved on time and to a high quality and that recommendations are reported and reviewed.

8. To develop a core team of community volunteers who can support and contribute to the work of Healthwatch NN and support them to be proactive and enthusiastic in fulfilling their roles.

9. To represent and promote Healthwatch NN with the NHS, Local Authority and Third Sector stakeholders and

10.  Deliver presentations and progress reports at key statutory bodies including the Health & Well Being Board, Health & Care Partnership and Overview and Scrutiny Committee as required.

11.  Act as the central point of contact for key stakeholders, commissioners, and service providers and sit on issue led boards and networks and attend such meetings when deemed it could add value to the work of Healthwatch.

12.  Ensure effective working relationships are in place with neighbouring Healthwatch, and explore opportunities for cross boundary working and joint utilisation of resources. and ensure appropriate protocols are in place for collaborative working. ·

13.  Identify, advance and manage collaborative relationships with key strategic stakeholders and partners to achieve our statutory roles (including voluntary sector, statutory agencies and other local Healthwatch)

14.  Act as ambassador for Healthwatch NN, working with other organisations and bodies as appropriate, taking part in external working groups and events to further the work and reputation of the organisation.

15.  Lead and develop and maintain productive networks, relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and other appropriate bodies and organisations. 

16.  Where deemed appropriate, prepare formal requests for information to providers and commissioners, and keep a record of requests and timelines for responses. Identify appropriate actions when a late or insufficient response has been received, including onward referral to the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee. ·

17.  Identify gaps in the knowledge of Healthwatch North Northamptonshire about the health and social care needs of local residents and look to address these, particularly working with key partners. ·

18.  Assess local strategies and policy documents, to identify gaps where local public concerns are not being addressed.

19.  Adopt an effective and shared approach to information management with appropriate sharing of data to avoid duplication, misinterpretation or underuse of data. ·

20.  Work with the team to identify gaps in service provision and alert local commissioners of any such gaps.

21.  Act as the central point of contact for all incoming press enquiries and be available to provide comments when health and social care related articles appear in the news, or direct enquiries to Senior Management where appropriate.

22.  Act as the central point of contact for any complaints made against Healthwatch North Northamptonshire and escalate accordingly to internal policies.

23.  Deliver key performance targets and ensure contract monitoring reports are produced in a timely manner.

24.  Manage the Healthwatch NN website and social media , production and publication of reports and all external materials and content.

25.  Line manage Healthwatch NN staff and carry out supervisions and appraisals in line with Support Northamptonshire policies and procedures

This Data Analyst position will primarily work within the Drive programme team. About the role:

As Member Relations Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in growing and strengthening our diverse co-operative network. You will contribute to the delivery of our membership strategy, manage relationships with current and prospective members, and support the development of membership services and products. You will be the first point of contact for member enquiries, ensuring a responsive and high-quality experience, while also supporting initiatives to improve member engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the implementation of the membership and engagement strategy, contributing to KPIs and team targets as required.

• Develop a deep understanding of our members, managing recruitment, retention, and account management to build strong, sustainable relationships.

• Maintain expert knowledge of our subscription model, products, and services, ensuring member needs are met and income targets achieved.

• Collaborate across teams to align organisational activities with membership goals and develop income-generating services that meet member needs.

• Stay informed on sector trends and developments to enhance our member offer, services, and ways of working.

• Act as a key contact for member insights, providing accurate, timely data to support bids and communications.

• Maintain member records and perform analysis and reporting via our CRM (Salesforce) to support performance tracking and process improvements.

• Manage complex member queries and act as an escalation point for the Member Relations team.

• Lead on account management of federal members, dual memberships, and selected partner members, developing strong relationships and commercial understanding.

• Support the renewal process, membership campaigns, and communications planning, helping to increase member retention and acquisition.

• Contribute to high-quality membership processes and ensure governance structures reflect our co-operative identity.

• Actively support the Member Services Lead with wider membership functions and continuous process improvement.

Charity People are delighted to be working with Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF), a UK-based charity that supports nurses and midwives to promote health, improve care and save lives, to recruit a People & Operations Officer.

Inspired by the work of Florence Nightingale, FNF is a voice for the nursing and midwifery profession and is working across the UK and internationally to reach one million nurses and midwives by 2027: enabling nurses and midwives to connect, lead, and influence healthcare.

FNF's focus is on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience, through building nursing and midwifery leadership capacity and capability. They also work to convene and support nurses and midwives to shape the health and care policy agenda, and create a future where nursing and midwifery perspectives are valued and policies are informed by the professions' evidence, expertise and needs.

The People & Operations Officer will join a busy operations team. This is a new, multifaceted role, with responsibility for looking after the team and the smooth and safe running of the FNF office and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Office and IT Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a productive working environment, including office management and maintenance, supplies, IT systems, and coordination with external providers.
• Health and Safety: Conduct and support risk assessments, maintain incident reporting systems, and act as a trained fire warden and first aider (training provided), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and audits.
• HR Administration Support: Coordinate recruitment administration, onboarding of new staff, HR data reporting, administration of annual leave and other benefits, HR system maintenance, and maintenance of employee records in alignment with internal policies and regulation.
• Policy, Governance and Operations Support: Assist and coordinate with policy review and development, and provide general operations support including event logistics and administration, coordinating meetings and taking minutes.

The People & Operations Officer will have proven experience of working in a varied operational role within the non-profit sector. You will have demonstrable experience in and/or an understanding of health and safety management, as well as experience of managing relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting HR processes and activities, reviewing and improving processes and experience developing and implementing policies and procedures (desirable).

With excellent attention to detail and exceptional administration skills, you will be confident and committed to suggesting improvements and in developing initiatives that will continually improve efficiencies and ways of working throughout FNF. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with people internally and externally and will demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism. The People and Operations Officer will have a working knowledge of MS Office and strong digital administration and CRM skills (ideally Salesforce). You will be highly organised with the ability to mutli-task and prioritise to meet deadlines whilst being adaptable and flexible.
