The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a District Property Secretary. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. They will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property and will work in collaboration with the churches and circuits within the District, providing oversight of the properties owned by the District. The post holder will give support and assistance to a range of stakeholders on property-related matters, in the context of Methodist Church governance.

Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising:

Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and grant applications

Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns

Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, providing reports and recommendations

Assist with online fundraising campaigns, including online donation platforms

Research and implement new ways of building individual giving

Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor information.

Assist with the preparation of fundraising materials.

Stay up to date with fundraising best practices and trends

Support the wider team to build fund-raising skills
Bid-writing:

Keep the team up to date on upcoming funding opportunities

Support teams to write bids. Provide management and frameworks to ensure deadlines are met and a high standard of writing is achieved

Work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure bids are budgeted correctly

Complete application processes for bids

Ensure compliance paperwork is completed and recorded.
Donor Management:

Assist with donor communication and stewardship, ensuring timely and personalised acknowledgments and processing

Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist with research and prospect identification.

Respond to donor enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
About you

As part of Midland Air Ambulance Charity’s (MAAC) corporate team, the Corporate Partnership Executive is responsible for taking a proactive approach to raising the profile of the charity and deepening relationships with businesses in the communities we serve.
You will provide support to the Senior Partnership Executive and the wider team helping to implement the corporate fundraising strategy via in person and online engagement methods, leading on activity within Staffordshire.
Your focus will be to ensure income growth from corporate sources and activity comprising of new business development, account management and affinity partnerships. As a longstanding charity, we have established networks in place, however alongside this the post holder will need to innovate and develop new ways of working in line with the ever-changing external environment (i.e., global/national trends, corporate best practise such as CSR and ESG) as well as in response to opportunities and challenges happening in the south of our region.

We also provide consultancy and training support to the industry on climate storytelling within a commercial context. THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Director of Finance and Operationsto join our team, to provide strategic and financial leadership and support to Climate Spring as it continues to grow
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership on all finance and operational matters affecting Climate Spring’s activities
- Manage and oversee the organisation’s budget in line with the organisation’s strategy
- Support the Executive Director and Director of Impact with fundraising strategy and funder management.
- Oversee the financial management of the organisation
- Provide financial and operational leadership for the organisation’s establishment of a new production fund
- Prepare and present financial reports for board and funders.
- Manage relevant internal and departmental operational developments
- Oversee the organisation’s operations, ensuring effective and inclusive practices and policies
- Oversee the organisation’s HR policies and practice
- Supporting the Executive Director in reporting to the board and ensuring effective governance
Minimum role criteria:
- 10+ years of experience working in philanthropic, social investment or charity sector with significant leadership experience.
- Experience managing organisational budgets over £2m
- Experience managing a diverse team
- Experience managing grants and donor relationships

We are looking for a Community Fundraiser who is an excellent communicator and an energetic self-starter. You are comfortable with working independently, but ready to utilise the support of colleagues across the Fund. Above all, you naturally build rapport to quickly establish relationships and develop innovative partnerships. No one day will be the same and as part of the regional team, you will be the local face and voice of the Fund on the ground. You will quickly build your understanding of the key influencers in your community, and you will ensure they understand what we do so they will want to be associated with the charity. You will be responsible for raising income through existing networks of supporters, volunteers and building new relationships within the RAF, community groups and local business.
The role is primarily community based in East Anglia and requires travel around the region (Cambridgeshire, London Kent, Essex & Suffolk) and occasional overnight stays. Some evening and weekend work is also required during the busier months at planned events when required. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need a full UK driver’s license; to be Basic DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.
