About the Role

Our Communications Assistant will amplify all the great things the Foundation does. They will be responsible for JPF’s youth-focused social media channels (Instagram, TikTok etc.), creating marketing material focused on inspiring and motivating young people to engage with the Foundation, and our community development. You will need to champion young people, ensure that we are amplifying young people’s voices and providing them with the tools, resources, contacts and services that enable them to achieve great things. About Your Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation.

The primary duties are:

Digital Communications and Marketing

• Newsletter Creation: Develop newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants Team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.

• Promotional Materials: Oversee the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.

• Website Maintenance: Regularly update the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.

• Storytelling: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events Team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.

• Press and Outreach: Assisting in drafting press releases and executing outreach campaigns to promote JPF’s work to key networks and to the broader public.

• Event Promotion: Work in partnership with the Events Team to promote attendance at our Achievement Award events through our website and social media platforms.

• Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) Collaboration: Collaborate with JPF's Youth Consultation Panel to create educational and professional development content for the Jack Petchey Alumni Network.

Programme Launches: Work with colleagues across JPF to launch and promote new programmes, grant opportunities and recruitment across our digital channels.

• Competitions and Opportunities: Enhance JPF's youth engagement through creative competitions and development opportunities that celebrate young people’s achievements. 

Content Creation

• Daily Duties: Handle day-to-day scheduling, monitoring and interactions across our youthfocused social media platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok) to maintain audience engagement.

• Campaign Development: Lead the creation of social media campaigns celebrating young people’s achievements and promoting opportunities for young people and grantees to get involved with JPF.

• Content creation: Develop engaging content for social media channels, including sourcing images, creating/editing videos and designing graphics in line with JPF’s branding.

• Video Content: Work with staff and our Youth Consultation Panel to produce more film content for our social media channels.

• Social Media Takeovers: Host social media takeovers with our Youth Consultation Panel to amplify their voices and views.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse the performance of our social media channels, benchmarking activities against past metrics and producing regular reports for the Communications and Engagement Manager.

• Annual Plan: Contribute to JPF’s annual communications strategy, including devising social media plans, providing recommendations to enhance audience engagement and expand reach.

• Trend monitoring: Stay updated on news and trending topics related to young people and JPF, proactively responding to highlight our opportunities and work.

Community Development 

• Youth consultation Panel (YCP): Work with the JPF team to engage with and support our Youth Consultation Panel to share their opinions and help inform the work of the Foundation.

• Alumni Network: Support the development of the Jack Petchey Alumni Network, a community of past JPF programme graduates, expanding its uptake and planning future events.

• Youth Survey Development: Support the creation, distribution and analysis of JPF’s annual youth surveys.

• Partner Collaboration: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer to manage our partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.

• Identifying Stakeholders: Collaborate with colleagues on developing JPF’s Patrons and Ambassador’s plan with a focus on young people from the charity’s past as well as social media influencers. 

Other Responsibilities

• Event Representation: Attend key events to capture content and represent JPF as a spokesperson when needed.

• Event Support: Assist in organising and facilitating events and conferences as required.

These duties represent the typical responsibilities associated with this position. However, flexibility is essential and all employees may occasionally be required to undertake additional tasks as directed by JPF.

Web and Application Developer

Your role

You will be an integral part of a busy, professional and customer service focused Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team, with a strong culture of providing tools for staff to do their job well and to optimise business processes. You will develop, build and maintain internal applications for local and remote users, especially helping colleagues to make the most of the Access ThankQ CRM database and supporting the finance and HR teams. You will also work closely with fundraising and communications colleagues to develop and support the public CMS website.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in web technology and in the development of secure web-based database systems using PHP – together with MSSQL Server/MySQL/MariaDB databases. You will be able to demonstrate your skills with a variety of web and database technologies as well as show your ability to learn new technologies as required. You will need to be patient, calm and approachable, as well as a good team worker.

About Cardiomyopathy UK

Cardiomyopathy UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by cardiomyopathy – a disease of the heart muscle. We provide vital information, support services, and campaign for improved diagnosis and care. As we grow our reach and impact, we are expanding our fundraising and marketing capacity to secure sustainable income, diversify our supporter base, and build greater public awareness of cardiomyopathy.

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Head of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the development and delivery of our fundraising and marketing strategy. Reporting to the CEO, the postholder will have overall responsibility for driving income growth, diversifying funding streams, and strengthening our brand and reach.

This role will manage a small team, responsible for individual giving, community and events fundraising, grant, legacy and trust income, and marketing. They will provide inspiring leadership, ensuring the team delivers sustainable income growth, meaningful supporter experiences, and increased awareness of Cardiomyopathy UK’s work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Alignment

• Develop and deliver a fundraising and marketing strategy aligned with Cardiomyopathy UK’s mission and growth targets.
• Ensure fundraising activities reflect our values and strengthen our reputation for independence and integrity.
• Provide clear leadership to a team of five, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.

2. Income Mix and Diversification

• Lead a balanced and diverse portfolio of income streams across individual giving, community fundraising, trusts and foundations, legacies, major donors, campaigns and events.

This senior leadership role will be at the forefront of identifying large new long term income opportunities in a fast-changing funding landscape. The role will provide strategic oversight and drive the organisation’s partnership approach to large gift income generation through trusts and grants, major donors, corporates and tenders whilst also leading a team of three. This leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering a cohesive external funding strategy, and ensuring our approach is proactive, creative and aligned with both internal priorities and external funding trends.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced programme coordinator to lead our Travelling with Confidence grant, engaging and empowering disabled people, promoting independent mobility, using rail and connecting modes. Working with our members and partners you will coordinate and support the delivery of this important programme, helping to ensure it is participatory, empowering, effective and well-evaluated, while sharing learnings and building a lasting legacy.

Salary: £36,400 (FTE) 

Days: Part-time, 3.5 days (25.9hrs) p/w – flexible working patterns available

Community Rail Network is a not-for-profit organisation, working across Britain to support a growing ‘community rail’ movement. Community rail promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making projects, and brings people together. 

Community rail is made up of 75 community-based partnership organisations, 1,300 station friends volunteer groups, and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects with young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence with families and marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener travel and tourism by rail. 

Our enthusiastic team of 22 works mainly from home in different locations, but we come together regularly in person and online. We work collaboratively to advise our members, provide training, events and resources, run campaigns, and champion community rail and its insights via decision-makers and the media. We believe in developing our team and supporting everyone to reach their potential while having a good work-life balance. 

Responsibilities

Programme coordination, delivery and monitoring and evaluation: 

• Ensure good coordination and communication between delivery partners and support their high-quality delivery in line with timeframes and requirements, including via steering group meetings and individual support. 

• Offer support, guidance and ideas to our delivery partners to assist their work, helping them to build capacity and confidence and meet their objectives. This includes support to engage with, and draw on the experiences, ideas and voices of disabled people.

• Support delivery partners in developing and embedding co-creation principles and empowering ways of working for their projects, drawing on good practice and expertise. 

• Work with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate positive collaboration and help develop our wider network while supporting project objectives and raising awareness about this work.

• Produce communications content to support project delivery, such as case studies and blogs, and work with our Communications and Policy team to promote the programme, its achievements, and amplify the voices/views/needs of the disabled people engaged. 

• Manage the delivery of a accompanying small grant fund (using/adapting our existing processes and systems) for other community rail partnerships/groups to deliver travel confidence initiatives with disabled people. Provide similar support and advice to those grant-funded to that offered to the core delivery partners, in line with their needs. 

• Support monitoring, data collection and meaningful evaluation by all core and grant-funded delivery partners, ensuring this is in line with project reporting requirements, and serves our goals around legacy-building and empowering those involved.

• Monitor and review project objectives, troubleshooting any issues in a timely manner. 

• Financial management of the grant budget, managing internal (Community Rail Network) budget spend as well as monitoring the delivery partner budgets in partnership with the project leads, ensuring these are in line with agreed grant funding.

Grant administration, reporting and liaison  

• Maintain and develop relations with the grant provider, ensuring we meet reporting deadlines and other requirements (such as attendance at progress meetings).

• Work with project partners to agree the data set requirements and outcome parameters for evaluation, and provide suitable reporting tools.

• Completion of grant reports and financial statements, including coordinating and reviewing project delivery data (from project partners).

Evaluation and legacy building 

• Work collaboratively with an external evaluation consultant to assess and enhance current monitoring and evaluation approaches, co-develop theories of change, and embed participatory and inclusive evaluative practices throughout the programme. 

• Produce guidance and tools to support wider delivery across community rail and beyond, working with our member support and communications teams. 

• Work with colleagues, members and partners to raise wider awareness about the project and its findings and build a legacy. This includes set up and delivery of a member webinar (with support from the events team) to share project experiences. 

Team and partnership working (as relevant and appropriate) 

• Contribute to the wider objectives and development of Community Rail Network by sharing project progress and learning and offering advice and input. Work with our member support & development team to help embed lessons from the project and improve our ongoing support for members on rail confidence initiatives and the involvement and empowerment of disabled people.

• Feed into our senior team on strategic insights and ideas emerging from the programme to help us advocate for more inclusive, confident (rail) travel for disabled people. 

• Attend, and support, community rail events (internal and external) to develop knowledge and understanding of the movement and its role. 

• Contribute to the development of our internal systems (e.g. spreadsheets, CRM) such as by data capturing relevant contacts and details.

• As a member of the Community Rail Network team, assist with more general work as needed. 

Skills and competencies 

1. A proven track record in project management, including coordinating between multiple delivery partners and ensuring project/funding requirements are met, and supporting/overseeing effective monitoring and evaluation. 
2. Demonstrable experience in supporting community projects, ideally related to inclusion and mobility, including working with disabled people. 
3. A good understanding of and confidence using community engagement, local communications, project planning and evaluation techniques. 
4. The ability to collaborate and communicate with community groups and other local partners, draw on their views and expertise, and support them to deliver effectively. 
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate positive discussion; articulate and assertive, and a great team player.

Other information

This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for project meetings, events and external meetings. Applicants will need local access to a train station to enable rail-based travel for work as needed.

This is a fixed term contract and includes a probationary period of three months from the date of appointment. Main purpose of post
 To provide effective administrative support across the organisation, which will
include minute taking and completion of expenses.
 Perform administrative tasks related to HR processes, to ensure the efficient

What you do
Administration
You will support the whole organisation with a range of administrative tasks
which will include:
 Completing minutes for key meetings.
 Processing of Expenses on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team.
 Arranging room bookings both internally and externally.
 Support with co-ordinating organisation wide meetings i.e., monthly staff
meetings, away days, including booking venues and arranging catering.
 Supporting with governance committee cycles, preparing documents and
reports as required.
 Inputting data into relevant systems accurately and in a timely manner.
 Dealing with enquiries from patients, donors, supporters, service providers
and volunteers as required in a timely and effective manner.
 Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
 Taking donations in any of the Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.
 Support with the administration of our grants programme, including
preparing and issues letter to grant applicants as instructed, updating and
maintaining grant budget spreadsheets.
You will work on time limited ad hoc projects, which could include:
 Creating and implementing new processes, including building templates /
documentation / matrixes.
 The build-up to / during and/ or after a campaign / or event.
HR Support
You will provide support to the HR Manager which will include:
 Maintaining and update employee records.
 Assist in the recruitment processes (posting job ads, scheduling interviews,
communicating with candidates).

 Support with preparing HR documents, such as onboarding paperwork, and
employee letters.
 Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.
 Organize training sessions and maintain training records.
 Assist with HR projects such as employee engagement programs.
Cover Support
You may be asked to provide cover on the front of desks of one of our sites:
Cancer Support Centre, Northumberland Road, our Charity Hub, Whitham Road
or Cavendish Centre, Wilkinson Street which will include:
 Meeting and greeting visitors including supporters and patients and acting as
their first point of contact for any queries.
 Dealing with telephone, email and postal enquiries across the organisation
 During cover period, you may be required to open and close the patient
spaces, as part of a wider team rota.
 Booking in and logging patients onto the relevant records and databases to
provide accurate data.
 Sending appointment reminder calls/texts/letters to clients as required.
 Co-ordinating the Transport service, including supporting and co-ordinating
the volunteer drivers.
 Managing the consumables within this patient space and ordering
replacement stock as and when required.

Key Responsibilities for the role are:
Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for gaming aligned with the overarching Make-A-Wish UK organisational goals and market trends.
• Monitor and identify growth opportunities within the gaming sector that are unique to Make-A-Wish   UK, including (but not limited to) development of strategic partnerships,   product diversification to drive sustainable income growth, and market expansion to position Make-A-Wish as the go-to charity for the gaming sector.

• Establish Objectives, shared KPIs and other performance metrics that drive alignment with common priorities and focus across teams to deliver on growth targets.
• Attend appropriate industry events and conferences to cement Make-A-Wish UK as contender within the UK videogame sector.
• Lead stakeholder management of high-value and   high-profile gaming contacts, including senior Make-A-Wish advisors within the gaming industry

 Team Management:

• Lead and motivate the Gaming and Influencer Officer by providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
• Promote a creative and collaborative work environment to drive innovative partnerships, creativity and innovation.

 Gaming Group Wish

• Oversee the entire gaming group wish development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Scale the group wish within the sector and develop commercial opportunities that resonates with the gaming audience.
• Leverage storytelling to engage with gaming influencers within the gaming community

 Partnership Development:

• Establish and nurture relationships with external partners, including publishers, hardware manufacturers, distributors, and platform holders.
• Identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with gaming influencers and content creators.
• Collaborate with Brand and Corporate Partnerships to ensure the content and pitch is engaging for partnerships, campaigns and promotions.

Campaign Execution:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of gaming-related marketing campaigns.
• Ensure that campaigns align with the company's objectives and target audience.

Performance Analysis:

• Monitor campaign performance metrics and provide insightful reports to stakeholders.
• Adjust strategies based on performance data to improve engagement and ROI.
• Continuously analyse, refine, and optimise workflows, tools, and processes across gaming to increase lead time to value, reduce blocks, improve resource allocation and enhance productivity.
• Proactively identify and monitor risks that could impact product development timelines, from technical challenges to resource gaps, and proactively develop mitigation strategies

 Income generation:

• Identify and prioritise opportunities for the   growth of income, gift in kind and networks in areas of Gaming for Make-A-Wish. This includes collaborating with the corporate partnerships team and relevant internal teams for new Gaming partners and sponsors for MAW.

Budget Management:

• Manage the budget for gaming and influencer marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources in line with operational needs.
• Ensure cost-efficiency and return on investment for game projects.

Wishgranting:

• Support connections to help grant wishes for children with gaming-related wishes by establishing relationships with industry partners, networks and individuals who can help.

You will support the High Value Partnerships Manager and Community & Events Fundraising Manager, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. Purpose of the role

• Reporting to the High Value Partnerships Manager you will provide support across our two priority Fundraising streams – Community Fundraising (Community, Events and Individual/Regular Giving) and High Value Partnerships (Trusts, Grants, Corporate and Sponsorship).

St Augustine’s College of Theology is seeking an experienced Fundraiser to help sustain and grow our mission. This part-time role (2 days per week) is ideal for someone interested in theological education and keen to develop fundraising strategies that support our students, our educational programs, and the college’s contribution to the Church of England.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for developing and leading fundraising initiatives, including encouraging alumni giving, cultivating relationships with major donors, researching grant-making bodies, and managing funding applications. Working closely with our leadership team, you will play a key role in securing financial support for scholarships, faculty development, new program initiatives, and other college projects. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to increase income from trusts, foundations, and individual donors.
• Research and write compelling grant applications.
• Oversee regular communication with current and potential donors, including our alumni society, the ‘Friends of St Augustine's.’

Overall purpose of role 

The Administrative Support Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of WeProtect Global Alliance. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Operations, this new role provides wide-ranging support across administration, finance, HR, and team coordination, ensuring that internal processes run efficiently in a dynamic, remote working environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Administrative and Operational Support 

• Provide general administrative support to the Secretariat, including correspondence, maintaining organisational records and policies, and managing virtual offices. 

• Schedule and coordinate Board and FRAC meetings, including preparing materials and accurate minute-taking. 

• Support the organisation of retreats, away days, and staff travel, as well as managing the Monday meeting rota and staff engagement activities. 

• Order equipment, business cards, and other items for staff as needed, and maintain the fixed asset register. 

• Provide ad-hoc support to the Communications Lead, assisting with administrative tasks, coordination, and document preparation as required. 

Finance and Contracts Administration 

• Support financial processes by coding and processing invoices, expenses, and receipts, assisting with monthly financial consolidation, and coding income allocations. 

• Provide support with audits (UK and Stichting), intercompany transfers, payroll variance checks, and day-to-day banking. 

• Assist with contract administration and supplier relationships, including account management (e.g. CloudTech24, Signeasy). 

• Support payment approvals and processing in Telleroo, and contribute to accurate record-keeping for budget and compliance purposes. 

Staff and HR Support 

• Support recruitment processes, including the administrative aspects of staff onboarding and offboarding.

Team Coordination and Events Support 

• Organise and support regular team meetings.
