About The Role
Do you have ability to build positive relationships and identify new fundraising opportunities? Would you like the opportunity to make a difference for people affected by dementia, by engaging with supporters across the South of Northern Ireland?

We are recruiting for a Regional Fundraiser covering the South of Northern Ireland to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until September 2026. This role is homebased but will require you to travel across the South of Northern Ireland with the aim of growing income across the region to exceed fundraising targets.

As Regional Fundraiser, you will be the main contact for regional fundraising within this geographical area, you will represent and promote the work, vision, and purpose of the Society locally, whilst also promoting and supporting the wider work of the Regional Engagement team. Essentially, you’ll be the ‘fundraising face’ of the Alzheimer’s Society engaging and inspiring your supporters to raise funds and awareness for us.

You’ll be building mutually beneficial relationships across the core counties in your area including, Bangor, Lisburn, Portadown, Armagh, Newry, Newcastle, Downpatrick and the outskirts of Belfast. You’ll work collaboratively with others to provide exceptional stewardship for our supporters, whilst remaining adaptable and ready to focus on other areas where funds are also raised.

This might mean you’re helping to attract new supporters from different places or taking care of existing supporters across various income streams in other areas. We will seek to maximise your skills effectively in your core counties, while also making sure they benefit the wider region's needs, enabling you to make a big contribution to fundraising for people affected by dementia.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place (via MS Teams) on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th October.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience in relationship community fundraising or similar transferrable skills such as the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively and use emotional intelligence when engaging with others. You’ll have experience of delivering excellent customer service, account managing or supporter stewardship, ensuring that people you work with feel valued and appreciated.

Crucially, you’ll be able to identify and establish new opportunities with a good understanding of budgeting and financial management combined with the ability to analyse data and information to make informed decisions.

This is an exciting role which will require you to travel across the geographical area of South Northern Ireland, therefore you’ll need to be able to work remotely and independently with a full driving licence and access to a car. Ultimately, this role will enable you to connect with others and build and develop your relationship fundraising and sector experience in a major national charity.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working proactively to identify and deliver new fundraising opportunities within the South of Northern Ireland, through pipelining and winning new income from Corporate, Groups and Associations, Individuals and Third-party activities to maximise income streams.
- Relationship building, providing exceptional stewardship to build relationships that boost retention and lifetime value for our supporters.
- Acquisition and pipelining, driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery) and achieving financial targets.
- Recruiting and managing volunteers in line with the activity plan.
- Working with a budget to manage and deliver income, providing detailed commentary and insights to the line manager on variances, capacity and trends at regular intervals agreed.
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and identifying cross-departmental opportunities where appropriate by working collaboratively.

Join our team and help us improve public sector food across the UK with our School Plates and new Hospital Plates programmes. We're looking for a passionate and driven Chef Trainer to support schools and hospitals in delivering healthier and more sustainable menus.

The programmes continue to go from strength to strength. Through School Plates, we currently support over a third of all UK local authorities, catering for more than 12,000 schools and feeding over 1.25 million children daily. To date, we have been responsible for swapping over 50 million school meals from meat-based to meat-free or plant-based. We're now expanding our successful model into the health sector with our new Hospital Plates programme, bringing the same positive change to patient and staff menus.

Are you a skilled chef trainer with a passion for improving public food? Can you match our ambition? You'll be using your culinary expertise to train catering teams in both schools and hospitals, provide menu advice, and get involved with recipe development and culinary education. You will also run cooking workshops for pupils in secondary schools, inspiring the next generation to get excited about plant-based food. You will also build and manage relationships with our catering partners, helping them deliver delicious and sustainable meals. This is a UK-wide role and will require travel to different sites.

Responsibilities

As our Chef Trainer & Programme Support, you'll be a key player in developing and delivering our School Plates and Hospital Plates programmes. You'll use your culinary expertise and passion for food system change to create resources, train professionals, and engage with our partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Recipe Development & Training: You'll co-lead the creation, testing, and development of new plant-based recipes for our school and hospital programmes, and lead on developing ‘grab-and-go’ and internationally inspired options for secondary schools. You'll also plan and deliver training sessions, including in-person and online workshops, and create e-learning courses for caterers.

• Programme Development & Support: Work closely with programme managers to develop and refine the strategy for our initiatives. This includes supporting pilot programmes, measuring their impact, and creating bespoke catering resources for our partners.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Represent our organisation at events and in meetings, providing expert catering advice and information on our programmes. Collaborate with our communications manager to create engaging content, including recipes and videos for our website, e-learning platform and social media.

• Education & Outreach: Partner with our education manager to plan and co-deliver secondary school cooking workshops. These sessions will teach pupils basic plant-based culinary skills that align with the National Curriculum as well as inspire the next generation to choose plant-forward options and learn about the impact of their food choices in a positive way.

• Inspire Catering Teams: Your role is to build and maintain relationships with catering partners, providing expert catering advice and practical recipe suggestions. You'll work with them directly on pilot programmes, offering bespoke support to inspire positive menu changes. You'll also provide essential administrative support for our programmes and help create and deliver presentations to promote our work to a wider audience.

Community Organising

Through our theory of social change, called community organising, we train thousands of everyday people to lead change in their communities, equipping them with the skills to hold politicians and other powerholders to account. We are made up of 500+ member organisations in powerful alliances throughout the UK. Our members include schools, universities, faith groups, parents’ groups, health practices, charities, trade unions and other civil society organisations. 

Purpose 

At Citizens UK, our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. There are various project roles and operational, communication, finance and HR roles that support the organisation and project staff and organisers to deliver on this mission and work. This work is rewarding and can be challenging; it requires a personal commitment to inclusion, a willingness to listen and disagree respectfully, and an interest in working in an organisation where our staff, member institutions and leaders will come from a diversity of backgrounds and often hold views that may be very different from our own. Main Responsibilities 

A Senior Organiser is mastering the craft of community organising and taking increasing responsibility for developing major campaigns, managing budgets and managing staff. They operate with a high degree of independence and are significant contributors to CUK-wide functions such as training.  Senior Organisers model the broad-based community organising methodology in their work including the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change. 

You will bring communities together to drive change both locally, regionally, and nationally. This role will work closely with local civic institutions, such as churches, mosques, schools, universities, unions and other community groups to: 

• develop the leadership of people within those organisations - our 'leaders' who lead the campaigns we work on 

• help them identify the changes they want to see and create strategies to win those changes 

• strengthen institutions’ own abilities to achieve their missions. 

This includes listening to members of the community to find common issues, engaging local decision-makers through meetings, and planning in-person ‘actions’, where you might hold those in power to account. All of this work is underpinned by the knowledge that everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. This work will be rooted locally, but you will be a part of a bigger national drive to make change alongside diverse local alliances across the UK. In Essex, the work is currently focusing on the first Mayoral Election for the County but you will also work on other campaign priorities that are developed through the institutions you work with. 

Working as a Senior Organiser for Citizens UK, reporting to Regional Supervisor for the South of England, your main responsibilities will include: 

Build relational power to further the goals of CUK 

• Develop a comprehensive power analysis for Essex, particularly as the County will elect its first Mayor in May 2026  

• Develop and grow strong working relationships with power players at a county-wide level or sector, including journalists; taking the initiative to establish new relationships as required 

• Conduct one-to-one relational meetings in order to develop relationships with leaders; demonstrating timely and effective agitation to stimulate action 

• Work effectively with local journalists and media outlets to further CUK’s goals 

• Develop a strategic plan to enhance people’s participation in public life as well as enhance non-partisan political and democratic practices across Essex. 

• Develop a strategy built on an acute sense of how communities and institutions behave within, and across, the cultures and contexts of Essex.  

• Develop a plan that enables clear and impactful cross-institutional collaboration across Essex. 

Identify and develop relational leaders prepared to act with others for the common good 

• Work with and learn from the best veteran leaders on key actions  

• Play a central role in the development of primary leaders; creating plans with them that are carried out 

• Nominate leaders for training on the core taster curriculum and for National Training 

Strengthen institutions and develop BBOs 

• Organise diverse alliances to work together locally but, most importantly, at chapter level 

• Create/develop a leadership team of representatives from several institutions at chapter and local that are successful in combining action with growth  

• Design organising strategies that combine internal & external action 

Support leaders through the Cycle of Action to create change 

• Take the staff lead on chapter-wide actions and campaigns; aiming to achieve significant wins at chapter/campaign level 

• Facilitate Issues Workshops and Delegates Assemblies and, in March 2026, a Mayoral Accountability Assembly 

• Develop strategies for significant impact; with comprehensive plans & tactics  

• Support actions, ensuring publicity, and facilitating high level negotiations  

• Evaluate the effectiveness of actions; demonstrating ability to incorporate lessons learned into future actions 

Contribute to CUK’s financial viability through effective fundraising & financial management  

• Recruit new dues paying institutions; negotiating annual membership dues and letters of understanding as required 

• Recruit and work with large organisations; ensuring that they invest into the alliance and not solely internal delivery  

• Contribute to fundraising by securing £75k-£90k per annum overall, at least half of which should be ‘hard money’ from retention and recruitment of member institutions and strategic partners. 

Contribute to effective teamwork 

• Line manage other Organisers in Essex 

• Attract and help recruit new Organisers 

• Lead other Organisers or Associates in a manner that supports high performance by providing clear expectations and providing proactive coaching, support and accountability.  

• Teach entire training curriculum on National Training successfully; acting as a ‘Track Captain’ by providing meaningful feedback and support to other trainers 

• Deliver sessions at Guild Days 

• Produce all required reports and follow CUK’s procedures on time and to the required standards 

Contribute to the Craft of Community Organising 

• Schedule an average of at least 3 to 4 1-2-1 relational meetings into your daily schedule as a core part of your professional practice 

• Commit 10 working days pa (pro rata for part-time staff) to the preparation, delivery and evaluation of Citizens UK National Community Leadership Training; 

• Contribute to the leadership of a Guild Team and help it develop as a Community of Practice that enables Organisers across the UK to develop their skills and experience.

The main duties of the role

JUSTICE is looking to recruit an interim Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to join our friendly, values-led team. This is a fixed term post for 15 months (maternity cover) and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of raising income from trusts and foundations. 

We are looking for an individual who has an interest in the purpose of the charity (to improve the UK justice system so that it is fair and within everyone’s reach), as well as a keen interest in taking responsibility for raising income from new and existing trusts and foundations and stewarding grants. This is an exciting time to join JUSTICE as we focus on a period of growth, looking to expand our reach out of London and internationally.  This role will really suit someone who enjoys identifying and then building relationships with funders, has great writing skills, has experience of securing five to six figure grants, is comfortable with a degree of autonomy and who thrives in this competitive fundraising environment. 

Around one-third of JUSTICE’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship.

The role works closely with the Director of Development and Policy Team, who are committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success, to put together engaging applications and grant reports. JUSTICE is a law reform and human rights organisation, working to improve processes and policies to support everyone, particularly marginalised groups, be able to seek justice or a remedy when their rights have been breached or the law has been broken. We also seek to improve the justice system as a whole, ensuring that laws are clear and consistent and that the government and other key decisionmakers are held to account.

We are a founding member of The Justice Hub, which is situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral. in London. We also have staff based in other locations including in Manchester, Sheffield and Edinburgh. The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will support children at risk of domestic abuse, including sexual violence and stalking within a domestic abuse context within the Thames Valley area. Children will be identified via their non-abusing parent who is already accessing support as a victim of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking from Aurora New Dawn. The support offered to the child will be parallel to the non-abusing parent’s support and offers the parent a safe space to speak confidentially to their advocate.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. 1. To deliver an effective accommodation intervention for women impacted by the criminal justice system.
