Senior Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Head Office, Regents Park, London NW1 – Hybrid

Purpose of the Role

This is a visible, high-profile position that offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, providing strategic insight and driving excellence across ZSL’s financial and commercial reporting.

As Senior Reporting Manager, you will lead a small, high-performing team and take responsibility for ZSL’s business and commercial reporting, including monthly performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs and business planning, as well as financial reporting on cash, reserves and the balance sheet. You’ll also support the year-end process and preparation of the Annual Report, while contributing expert financial analysis and modelling to inform decision-making across ZSL’s four businesses.

This is a hybrid role, typically based 2–3 days per week at ZSL’s iconic Regent’s Park headquarters. It’s an exciting opportunity for a strategic finance leader who thrives in a mission-driven environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial & Commercial Reporting: Lead ZSL’s financial and commercial reporting, including month-end close, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, KPI development and performance insights, ensuring timely, high-quality analysis and clear reporting that supports strategic decision-making. Which includes the development of finance reports, through systems such as Power BI.
• Financial Accounting: Oversee ZSL’s financial accounting and statutory reporting, including consolidated cashflow, balance sheet and reserves management, VAT and Gift Aid returns, and year-end audit preparation, ensuring robust ledger integrity, accurate reconciliations and successful sign-off of the Annual Report and Financial Statements.
• Leadership and Business Partnering: Lead and develop ZSL’s business partnering team while working directly with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing strategic insights and hands-on support to drive performance, growth, and alignment across all four business units, including dedicated focus on the Fundraising and People Directorates.

About You

• Qualified accountant (either ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with proven experience leading a business partner function.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and experience of PowerPoint.
• Proven finance business partnering experience working within a large complex organisation.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in business performance whilst maintaining positive relationships.
• Experience of managing a small team, with a successful track record of providing direction, support and coaching.
• Ability to provide insight from financial and non-financial data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders balancing support and challenge.

This is an exciting brand-new position within our growing Public Fundraising team supporting on our Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Sports & Challenges programme. NB. As Finance Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with Amit Sharma (Artistic Director/ CEO) and Iain Goosey (Executive Director), supporting them as they lead Kiln Theatre through a period of transition and growth. We are looking for Senior Operations Contracts Lead

Salary: £38,000 per year, this may be negotiable for the right person

Location: Based across multiple locations with the flexibility to work from home up to two days each week. The three key locations for this role are Portsmouth, Caversham and Bedfordshire. About You:

To be successful as the Senior Operations Contracts Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

A thorough understanding of and knowledge of the issues relating to women in the criminal justice system

• A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse, child protection issues and safeguarding
• A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management
• Significant experience, likely to have been gained over several years, of strategic planning and operational management at a service manager level, and developing and delivering services at senior service management level
• Significant experience of working with women and/or service users with a complex range of needs, particularly within the criminal justice system, in custody and/or community.
• Experience of developing relationships with funders/commissioners and achieving required outcomes
• Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact
• Strong influencing skills, enthusiasm, self-confidence, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills , and a can do proactive solution focussed approach
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships and partnerships, dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflict effectively, achieving the right outcomes for the organisation, collaborating and networking
• Able to think, act and plan strategically to develop practical and creative solutions to the management of existing and new services and complex problems that may arise while maintaining high levels of diplomacy and professionalism

Our team

We're looking for a compassionate, self-starting individual who is tenacious, goal-oriented, and target-driven with a make it happen mentality, because they know the impact growing this movement will have on thousands of people's lives.

This role is part of the Partnership Development Team within the Mission & Movement Directorate. Reporting to the Head of Movement Development, you will be responsible for initiating and engaging with senior church leaders and wider networks to partner with CAP, primarily through our life-changing Debt Centre service.

As a Partnership Development Manager, you'll be a key driver of our mission. We're looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented, problem solving individual who can build and nurture relationships across diverse church networks and denominations.

You will be responsible for generating new partnership opportunities, inspiring church leaders and wider networks to engage with CAP's vision and partner with us. You'll need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven ability to build a robust pipeline and deliver on growth targets, specifically around Debt Centre growth motivated by our desire to help more people out of debt and poverty and see them become followers of Jesus.

Partnership Development Manager Scope

• The team is split between full time and part time PDMs. 
• Significant amount of travel with large regions to cover. 
• This role has no direct reports.
• In line with our expenses policy, all expenses (e.g. mileage costs) are claimed retrospectively via our CAP Expenses system. 

Role:

Accountabilities:

• Responsible for expanding CAP's partnership network across your region alongside the Regional Director and Head of Movement Development, strategically prioritizing and developing relationships with church leaders and networks to establish new partnerships and services. You'll achieve this by collaborating with other teams, proactively networking with Christian organizations and denominational leaders (where appropriate), and representing CAP at various events, all with the goal of growing our influence and opening new services in every community.
• Proactive management of contacts as they progress through the pipeline, working alongside churches to identify if a CAP service supports their church vision, and if appropriate, manage them through the church journey and experience to open a new CAP service.
• To open new Debt Centre Partnerships as laid out in regional Development plans in target areas of deprivation and communities across the region. 
• To open resilience services (Job Clubs, Life skills & Money Coaching) with new and existing church partnerships.
• Alongside Regional Director to identify key areas from across the region to host and organize a targeted number of CAP Spotlight Events per term. These events are designed to gather church leaders around a table to have conversations around opening a multi Church Debt Centre. 
• To proactively build, manage and progress a self generated caseload of churches within your region, through cold calling, face to face meetings and all other appropriate forms of communication. This will include frequent travel across the region to meet with appropriate churches/ leaders.
• Refer potential new Debt Coaches or Churches that might want to work with an existing or expanding Church Partnership to the relevant Area Partnership Managers who are responsible for existing centre growth and sustainability.
• To work with Regional Leaders and Area Partnership Managers to deepen local knowledge and connections in order to deliver new church partnership opportunities. 
• To collaborate across departments where needed to support and engage with Church Events, Talks, Conferences, Festivals, Church Leaders Meetings and other relevant events within your region, working on exhibition stands (when necessary) to help generate enquiries.
• To work with local church teams to ensure appropriate candidates are identified and have a full understanding of the role and responsibilities involved, ensuring CAP¿s selection team receive the appropriate information in a timely manner. 
• To advocate and make introductions where appropriate for Church talks, CCT and fundraising opportunities.
• Where appropriate, to represent Partnership Development in additional projects which improve the delivery and content of CAP's products and services.

• Active involvement to support the wider team around logistics, processes and a small amount of project management.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Kent, Sussex, or Surrey area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London office.

The health content editor plays a pivotal role in the creation and reviewing of our information portfolio. We’re looking for an organised and collaborative individual to project manage and edit individual information products, working alongside our team of subject matter experts.
