Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. For more than 40 years, we have been delivering essential health and medical care to those most affected by conflict, displacement and occupation in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.

About the role

MAP is looking for a professional institutional funding manager with vast experience in securing bilateral and multilateral grant and a track record of achieving income targets. As the Head of Institutional Funding, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and execution of MAP's institutional funding strategy. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing relationships with key institutional donors such as UN agencies, FCDO, SIDA, and Irish Aid, as well as crafting compelling project proposals and ensuring compliance with all contractual and reporting requirements.

You will have extensive experience in securing grants from institutional donors, particularly in emergency response, relief, and rehabilitation projects. You will demonstrate a track record of success in developing institutional donor funding strategies and managing funded projects, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The Head of Clinical Governance will lead and enhance the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care for children. This role is pivotal in overseeing clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing clinical risks, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. About the role

The Crick Innovation and Business team has been created to establish an expanded translational and commercial offering from the Crick. There are four core functions: Translation & Entrepreneurship, Commercial Portfolio, Business Development and Business Operations.

The Business Development team is responsible for driving the development and execution of the Crick’s translation and commercial activity. This involves identifying partners for different translational and commercial opportunities, negotiating and concluding optimal deals and post-signature management to ensure delivery of such agreements. 

We are seeking a Strategic Business Development Lead (known internally as Senior Business Manager) with demonstrated expertise in innovation, commercialisation, intellectual property (IP), and due diligence to join this team.

Working closely with the Head of Business Development and the Business Development team, you will ensure appropriate identification, negotiation, conclusion and post-signature management of deals that further the Crick strategy, while protecting the charitable objectives.

You will be a commercially driven professional with a strong track record in opportunity assessment, licensing, and contract negotiation within the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. Highly skilled in stakeholder management across academic and commercial settings, you will be equipped with quantitative capabilities to support financial modelling and commercial evaluations.

You will possess a background in bioscience or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience and be experienced in establishing spin-out companies and partnering in the biomedical field and potentially incubator deals. What you will be doing

As a Strategic Business Development Lead at the Crick, you will:

• Negotiate and secure deals, including undertaking the development and execution of the Crick’s translation and commercial activity

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40+ year history. Over the last two years support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP, including individuals, trusts, foundations and corporates. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation by 2028, the supporter operations and insights team will play a vital role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.

We’re looking for a strategic and people‑focused leader to head up our Supporter Operations and Insights team. A newly expanded team, this senior role will ensure our supporters receive an outstanding experience, while overseeing supporter operations, supplier management, data quality and insights. You’ll work closely with Fundraising and Finance colleagues to ensure income is processed accurately; deliver insights that drive decision‑making; and ensure operations are compliant and effective.

Many of our systems and processes are on a journey to be made fit for purpose, including a new CRM (MS Dynamics) which is currently being implemented with the support of the Digital, Data and Technology team within the Chief Operating Officer’s team.

What is the role about?
This role leads the teams that look after our supporters behind the scenes and on the front line. You’ll make sure every supporter has a positive experience, that donations are handled accurately, and that we use data and insight to continuously improve how we work.

What will you be responsible for?
You’ll lead supporter care, operations and the performance and insights teams, manage key suppliers, work closely with Finance on income reconciliation, and turn data into insight that shapes fundraising decisions. You won’t manage the CRM system itself, but you’ll work closely with the CRM Technical lead and Head of Data and Insights to ensure supporter needs are met as we continue to embed a new CRM.

L&W is growing our research team and looking for a Head of Research to lead innovative, impactful research and evaluation projects across our focus areas of employment and skills.

This role will expand our capacity to win and deliver evaluation and qualitative research, while strengthening our methodological capability. We’re open-minded about what that means—but we want people who can go beyond standard process evaluations and basic qualitative approaches. Main Purpose

The Head of Research: Evaluation and Qualitative Methods is a new post for L&W – as we seek to deepen our capability and expand our capacity.

The post-holder will direct research projects across all of our areas of work, providing specific leadership and expertise in programme and system-level evaluations, and projects mobilising innovative or advanced qualitative methods (such as system mapping, co-design methods, ethnographic methods, creative methods and/or theory-based/realist evaluation).

They will work with the Head of Research: Employment and Better Work to develop the wider qualitative and evaluative skills of the wider research team.

They will also play a key role in leading and writing responding to tenders and working with colleagues to develop pro-active research proposals that fill key evidence gaps and respond to the interests of our funders.
