Elrha is a global organisation that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. We are looking for a Senior Innovation Manager (Scale) to join our Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) team on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2026.
In this role you will ensure high-quality, impactful innovation delivery while positioning Elrha as a global leader in humanitarian innovation. You will be responsible for the provision of strategic technical insights in the design and delivery of focused innovation initiatives and drive the strategic development and integration of innovation methods across our work.
If you have substantial experience in innovation delivery and practice, with a focus on impact, we are keen to hear from you. We welcome applicants with development, social and humanitarian innovation experience.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Substantial experience in innovation delivery and practice roles, including leading the design and delivery of innovation programmes with a focus on impact at scale.
- Deep technical knowledge of innovation theory and practice, specially including the area of scaling of innovation
- Proven understanding of the humanitarian and/or development system, including the challenges and key stakeholders within the sector(s)
- Excellent representation skills, including extensive experience facilitating workshops, speaking at events/meetings, and communicating effectively in a range of formats
- Track record of published research, guidance and tools on innovation theory and practice (academic and/or grey literature)
- An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.
Experience of working with grant making processes and systems would also be an advantage.

In June 2023, Prince William and The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales launched Homewards. Homewards is a transformative five-year programme, working with six locations, to demonstrate that together it’s possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief and unrepeated.
The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme is recruiting into their Strategic Delivery team. This team will be focused on leveraging significant impact across the locations focused on key, cross-cutting, themes and report into the Programme Director.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated, creative and delivery-minded individual to join us as our Strategic Investment Lead. The Lead will work with partners to unlock more funding and finance for solutions to prevent and end homelessness. The role will focus on connecting our locations to finance and funding opportunities, driving capacity and confidence to engage where possible. It will also focus on unlocking new and improved flows of funding through strategic engagement with major global partners.
We are looking for a big thinker and pragmatic ‘doer’. This is a chance to create thriving local ecosystems across the UK connecting capital to solutions that will transform their approach to end homelessness – as well as shaping brand new finance opportunities. Our aim is to create models with our partners that can be scaled across the UK and beyond.
You might have worked for central Government on finance strategy in highly relevant area, or perhaps come from a strategy role at a major financial institution. You will understand the investment landscape but be able to think creatively about how it can be deployed to end homelessness.
Key Accountabilities, but not limited to:
- Lead, shape and deliver the funding and investment strategy as part of The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme
- Work with a range of partners - experts, locations and partners from across the finance and investment sector to connect our locations to capital and leverage new forms of funding opportunities. The Strategic Investment Lead will be supported by an expert advisory group and specialist support as needed.
- Inspired by best practice and local progress, through partners, shape and support our locations to establish sustainable long-term connections and thriving ecosystems to deliver on their commitment to end homelessness
- Work with the Homewards location teams to ensure the funding and investment strategy delivers on Local Action Plans (our locations’ roadmaps to preventing and ending homelessness); and support them to identify high potential local partners and grow relevant local relationships
- Work closely with other Leads in the programme, specifically the Homes Lead and Employment Lead - and the central Partnerships team to ensure a joined-up approach which delivers maximum impact for Homewards and The Royal Foundation
- Work across the Homewards team to prioritise, co-develop and deliver the strategy, ensuring the approach is backed by a robust delivery plan
Relevant knowledge, experience and personal qualities
- Broad knowledge and experience of delivering finance and investment for social good and the role that debt, equity and grant/philanthropy can play in driving forward powerful societal outcomes – and an appetite to learn
- Demonstrable experience assessing risk and structuring relevant finance mechanisms, with a strong understanding of relevant language, concepts and approaches
- Comfortable and confidence engaging with a diverse range of partners from public, private and voluntary stakeholders to connect and create thriving place-based ecosystems
- Significant experience operating at a senior level working with major businesses to execute powerful new partnerships to create lasting impact - ideally with a focus on or background in a topic related to finance; and experience working at a local and national level to deliver
- A confident ‘Doer’ with a background in executing ambitious policy or programmes in a relevant setting
- Creative thinker with a desire to drive systemic change - understanding the role TRF and partners could play and what systemic change could look like when it to comes to delivering financial solutions to end that end homelessness
- Confident leader who can support and empower the Homewards team to confidently engage in this area; and be an ambassador for Homewards across the finance and social impact sector

About the Program
The Europe Regional Finance program has evolved out of our Financial Regulation and Policy Program that began in 2019 with a narrow focus on European central banks. Since then, we've expanded to shape financial regulation and policy globally to accelerate clean energy and create lasting systemic change in how public finance addresses climate challenges. Now the Europe Regional Finance program will focus on EU Policy and Finance and UK Policy and Finance.
About The Role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to achieving the objectives in the EU Financial Policy and Regulation project, specifically the work on public finance, fiscal policy and industrial strategy. Together with partners and allies, this role will help stop the political polarisation of net zero and contribute to building the broader case for public investment by establishing and propagating a narrative linking the opportunities of the clean energy transition with improving conditions for households and communities. This role sees the big picture and can translate it into actionable plans for maximum impact.
We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations.
About You
You have experience working on public finance, fiscal policy, or industrial strategy. You understand what it takes to hold the big picture, and translate complicated campaign strategies into actionable steps. You enjoy digging into the policy details, but are able to focus on the key ways to move the campaign forward for maximum impact. You’re able to work with diverse networks of organisations from trade unions to business leaders. You have a strong understanding of the political context which dictates our work and what's possible, but also innovative in thinking through solutions and opportunities to do things differently. The Early Education and Childcare Coalition unites the voices of parents, children, providers, early years professionals and the wider business community, working together for investment and reform of early education and childcare in England.
We believe that we all benefit from a well-functioning early education system and we all have a role to play in ensuring it works for children, parents and the economy.
We are backed by some of the most high-profile campaign and research organisations in the UK. Our members include early years provider membership bodies, parent campaign groups, early childhood experts, trade unions, the business lobby, anti-poverty campaigners and NGOs. Together, we use our collective voice and research to build public and political support for early education and childcare.
And it’s worked. Thanks to the dedication of our members, early years is now one of the top six priorities for the new government’s Plan for Change, but our work isn’t done – we have an ambitious agenda to ‘rescue and reform’ the system, ensuring that:

This year we launch a new three-year programme to achieve one of those key aims – raising the status of the early education profession, and we need a Campaign & Programme Manager to help us drive that work.
About the role

Hours: 30 hours (4 days per week). Some out-of-hours work may be required for which TOIL will be given.

Salary: £48,000 per annum FTE (£38,400 pro-rata)
Although we work remotely with a team that is spread nationwide, this role does require someone based in or close to London in order to deliver our Westminster programme of activities.
We work flexibly and it won’t come as a surprise to you that we understand the challenge of caring commitments. We trust you to manage your time, but we do expect that most of your hours are worked during standard office hours so that we can collaborate as a team and engage with our coalition partners. Our core working day is a Thursday. As a fully remote team this helps us to stay in touch and connect.
This role is initially offered on a two-year fixed term basis which we expect to renew in line with funding and is offered at four days per week. If you have a preferred working pattern, please speak to us and we would be happy to see if we can make it work.
The Coalition has experienced significant growth over the last two years and with early years firmly on the political agenda, we expect this to continue. Our hope is that this role will evolve and the successful candidate will continue to progress within this growing and impactful organisation.
For the last two years, the Coalition has been incubated by the Women’s Budget Group, the UK’s leading feminist economic think tank. Our growth means that we are now ready to spin out into a separate and independent legal entity. That means that your employment contract will initially be with WBG on behalf of the Coalition but will then transfer across to the newly constituted organisation. This won’t change your role, your terms or your pay, but we want to tell you now. We are happy to answer questions at interview about that.
What you can expect to be doing

Whilst the coalition currently has almost 40 core member organisations who shape our policy and lead on our shared campaigns, we are looking to grow our network of supporter organisations – these are partners who share our belief in the value of early education and childcare even if they do not work directly in early years policy. The Campaign & Programme Manager will lead a new project to identify, onboard, engage and grow this supporter network, ensuring they remain up to date with the latest research produced by the Coalition and its partners.

Managing the progress of this exciting yet complex programme, ensuring research partners are staying connected and all programme outputs feed into our overarching aims. This will include coordinating update meetings for programme partners and ensuring that we stay on track and meet our aims.

With the support of the Head of Advocacy and our external comms partner, develop a new narrative to raise the profile of the early education workforce and deliver a series of campaign moments across paid, earned and owned media to support this work.

Deliver ongoing comms and campaign projects designed to grow the coalition’s profile across a range of stakeholders.

Analyse and scope political developments related to the early education and childcare workforce, identifying opportunities to engage and influence.

Support the organisation of Coalition in person and online events.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A good understanding of individual giving best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.

The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for digital channels.

Experience moderating digital campaigns or working with others to do so (knowledge of issues and best practice) and providing excellent supporter/customer support as needed.

A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters our campaigns and communications or who gets in touch with us directly.

A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn and work with stakeholders cross-functionally including internal stakeholders and external consultants or agencies, to develop new activities and campaigns, and achieve strategic goals.

A good communicator and team player, with a willingness to pitch in and support the goals of the team and wider organisation as a whole.

Experience working within Agile project management would be beneficial.

Experience collecting content from patients, beneficiaries, or key subject matter experts in the form of written interviews, photos and/or video, and developing this into marketing assets would be desirable.

A strong belief in the work we do at PCR, and a demonstrable desire to improve outcomes for patients through our work in fundraising.

Good knowledge of WordPress website optimisation and plugins or strong desire to learn.

The role
Are you looking for a new challenge? We are currently looking for a driven and self-motivated senior officer for our public health, inclusion and awareness team. This is an exciting time to join as we continue to grow. You will support the development and delivery of the public health, inclusion and awareness team’s work across the UK, which is to empower patients and the public to play a full role in managing their own risk of getting breast cancer, diagnosing breast cancer earlier and improving their quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence.
Working closely with the public health, inclusion and awareness manager to deliver public health activities as identified in our strategy and team plans and work across the wider directorate and organisation.
Also supporting the delivery of activities to drive forward our equity, diversity and inclusion agenda to ensure we achieve the pledges, recommendations and actions set out in our plans and champion our commitment to celebrate diversity, challenge and address inequality, and help build an inclusive environment for all people affected by breast cancer.
About you
You'll be proactive, highly motivated and have experience in the development and delivery of public health and inclusion initiatives, campaigns and projects. An excellent communicator in building relationships at a local level with external organisations and groups including with those from under-represented communities.
You'll be confident in understanding and explaining equity, diversity and inclusion issues in our public health work clearly and will give presentations as required to community groups and organisations.
You'll also be experienced in monitoring and evaluation of public health activity, including gathering data, producing reports and analysing other statistical information as required.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our London office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.
