Role overview:
A pivotal senior position within the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising team, this role works closely with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to lead key fundraising initiatives and stewardship efforts. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, staff development, and performance management, as well as contributing to strategic planning and budget oversight. The role also leads the delivery of a multi-channel legacy marketing programme and ensures external suppliers meet agreed service levels. Key Responsibilities:

As you will have operational management and oversight for our Healthcare Services and hold the Designated Safeguarding Lead role for the organisation, you will bring considerable services-related experience at a management and leadership level. The Chief Executive will focus predominately on external matters and therefore you must have experience of managing an organisation to achieve high quality programmes with evidenced impact and motivated teams. Key duties
1. Leadership
- Ensure that children and adults with ME are at the heart of everything we do through meaningful engagement and participation to influence all aspects of our work.
- Deputise for the CEO and represent and promote the Charity at national meetings and events.
- Deputise for the CEO during periods of absence, and in relation to specific matters, issues or elements of operation as delegated from time to time by the CEO, ensuring a consistency of approach and decisions aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
- With the CEO and HR Business Partner, lead on implementing the People and Culture Strategy and ensuring our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging plan is achieved.
- To provide support, leadership and coaching to the Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and development of the Charity.
- Contribute to the development of the overall strategy for Action for ME, ensuring that the best use is made of available resources within agreed priorities. Ensure that agreed strategy is delivered to target and in line with agreed budgets.

2. Operations & management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Charity ensuring high quality service provision that meets all best practice, legal and regulatory frameworks and internal policies and procedures.
- Hold overall management responsibility for our Healthcare Services including the role of the CQC Nominated Individual, ensuring all regulatory requirements and compliance are met.
- Manage the staff and volunteer team, including holding regular meetings and ensure the efficient running of the office ensuring a culture that supports, inspires and motivates the team while ensuring required standards and quality are met at all times through effective performance management.
- Act as the organisational Designated Safeguarding Lead (children and vulnerable adults), working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Officers, colleagues and the Safeguarding Lead Trustee; facilitate the annual safeguarding audit (led by the Lead Trustee) and ensuring safeguarding standards across the organisation are maintained.
- Contribute to the learning and development of key personnel including coaching support (either directly or through the identification of external coaches) to enhance performance.
- Establish (where not already in place) and maintain a clear performance outcome-focused management system driving positive change and improvement across all teams.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are effectively implemented and kept up-to-date to enable the effective management of operations and support growth.

3. Finance & income generation
- Hold financial leadership responsibility, working closely with the Finance Manager and the Fundraising Director to ensure sustainability for our work.

- Lead, nurture and develop relationships with key stakeholder groups and partner organisations, both locally and nationally, supporting Action for M.’s place as the ‘go to’ organisation for people affected by ME

Experience and Knowledge
- Proven experience in an operations, leadership, or senior management role, ideally within the charity service delivery or healthcare sector, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive organisational growth and reporting that demonstrates impact delivered. If you come from outside a support services background, you must demonstrate sound understanding of the regulatory and best practice requirements related to delivering support and/or healthcare services.

This role plays a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Individual Giving Fundraising. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for creating, developing and delivering a fundraising plan to grow existing and new support for Winston’s Wish across our online and offline channels. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
- Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
- Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.
Generating Individual Giving Income
- Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
- Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
- Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
- Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
- Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
- Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
- Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.

We’re on the lookout for a Direct Marketing Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including direct dialogue, direct mail, digital and telephone, helping fund research that will save and improve lives.
In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. What the job involves
We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and results-driven Solutions Manager to join an established development team at one of the most dynamic and fastest growing charities in the UK.
The Solutions Technology Team are dedicated to enhancing the delivery technology solutions we provide. Data underpins the insight that informs our decisions and shapes the way we build lasting relationships with our customers — from service users and fundraisers to campaigners and volunteers. As an organisation, we’re on a journey to transform our culture to be driven by data and insight, and this role will play a pivotal part in making that vision a reality.
With a focus on aligning technology solutions with business needs, the Solutions Manager will review requirements and turn them into clear, actionable project plans. You’ll oversee the full solution delivery process, including managing timelines, budget, resource allocation and risk mitigation. You’ll also manage the general maintenance of our bespoke in-house applications, which include bespoke ETL system, and front-end web applications.
You’ll be supporting the Head of Technology and Solutions with software architecture, databases support, network infrastructure, and relevant programming languages to a degree that enables you to grasp technical discussions and identify potential challenges. Our in-house development platforms are built using PHP and Microsoft SQL Server and leverage robotic automation tools such as Toca.io and Power Automate all hosted-on Azure cloud infrastructure.
Acting as line manager, you’ll oversee and coordinate the day-to-day work of our Solutions technology team, supporting two Developers, a Business Analyst and third-party developers to deliver projects on time and in line with business needs.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Solutions Manager with a strong understanding of the development lifecycle, business analysis, requirements gathering, database design, optimisation, and general programming. You’ll need to be comfortable overseeing and helping to shape the architecture of our bespoke in-house applications, while taking ownership of existing systems — understanding how they’re built, how they work, and the part they play within the organisation.
You’ll have proven experience in managing teams (both in-house and external) and providing coaching and development opportunities to help your team perform at their best. Experience with both Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) will be essential, as you lead the team to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.
Problem-solving and decision-making will be at the heart of your role, and your excellent communication skills will enable you to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, from technical teams to non-technical stakeholders.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Senior Content Manager to join our Marketing and Digital Team.

Hours: Full-time (as part of our 32-hour week pilot and may revert to 35 hours after July 2025)
Contract type: This is 12-month maternity cover post
This exciting Senior Content Manager role will lead on the Foundation’s content strategy and the delivery of high-quality content across all our channels in line with our strategic objectives and digital strategy.
What does the role involve?
- Lead on planning, creating and scheduling content
- Manage the relationship with our community management agency to ensure our online communities are kept engaged and supported.
- Setting the standard and ensuring the high quality of all content produced at the Foundation.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Experience of writing and delivering content and social media strategies.
- Significant experience of planning and delivering extensive social media campaigns for large audiences.
- Experience of writing, creating and deploying a range of content for different audiences across digital channels, including website, email and social media.
- Ability to convey complex information and stories simply and effectively.

What the job involves
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. As we embark on an exciting 3-year fundraising strategy, we’re looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This is a newly created role within the team which will oversee acquisition and new product development.
You’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. In this role you’ll take ownership of planning, implementing and reporting on fully integrated acquisition campaigns across a range of channels including DRTV, Digital, Telephone, SMS and OOH.
You’ll work closely with teams from across the organisation and our media agency to ensure a truly integrated, collaborative approach. Together with the team, you’ll identify opportunities, apply learnings from past campaigns, and enhance future performance.
You’ll also be integral to driving forward new product development to acquire new regular givers. Leading on testing across the Acquisition team, you’ll innovate to drive the lowest attrition, best ROI and strongest lifetime value. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights.
What we want from you
Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment managing fully integrated campaigns, you’ll also have strong digital campaign management experience, ideally gained from a fundraising environment. You’ll have experience in developing and implementing effective testing strategies and ideally also have experience in developing new marketing or fundraising products.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance.

As PMO Lead, you'll work closely with the Head of Strategy & Programme Management to embed consistent and effective practices across a central portfolio of projects and programmes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of consistent project and programme management tools and methods across the organisation
- Support, upskill and coach Sponsors, Business Change Managers and Project Managers to fulfil their roles effectively
- Collaborate with project leads to ensure clear project scopes, risk management and reporting processes
- Support and challenge Project Managers, Sponsors & Business Owners across the Association to ensure the benefits of projects/programmes are defined, measured and learning points shared.
- Establish and manage a central log of projects, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting
- Ensure project benefits are identified, measured and reviewed, and that learning is captured
- Shape a centrally managed change portfolio to help deliver the organisation's strategy
- Develop and maintain reporting processes across all organisational projects

- Support the identification of project interdependencies and escalate issues for resolution

About You:
- In-depth understanding of the core elements of a successful PMO
- Recognised qualification in project or programme management, ideally with a PMO-specific certification
- Demonstrable experience of setting up and running a PMO in a similar organisational context
- Experience managing projects or programmes, with sound knowledge of relevant methodologies
- Skilled in supporting others to use consistent project and programme approaches
- Proficient in project management software such as MS Project
- Confident working across teams and functions to embed tools and approaches
- Able to clearly communicate, influence and support decision making at senior levels

The Talent Set are partnering with a brilliant charity to recruit for a Senior Individual Giving & Legacies Manager, leading the retention programme and a team of 5 to generate significant income across Appeals, Regular Giving and Legacy income streams. This role has a flexible hybrid working environment, with 1-2 days per month working in their offices in East Anglia.
Key duties include:
- Oversee the development and implementation of Supporter Retention and Legacy strategies and budgets for the charity, including mid-value, gaming and in-memory programmes.
- Assist with the strategic development of the charity’s overall Individual Giving strategy to maximise voluntary income and support.
- Optimise donor engagement journeys across online and offline channels to increase the lifetime value of donors and legacy prospects.
- Manage and monitor a range of direct marketing campaigns, including direct mail, telemarketing, OOH and digital, ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure effective relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective delivery of the charity’s direct marketing programmes.
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience of leading a diverse range of direct marketing campaigns across online & offline channels, working to agreed budgets and targets.
- Demonstrable track record of developing supporter retention plans, including appeals, regular giving and mid-value campaigns.
- A strong eye for data and analytics, with the ability to enable insight-led development and measurement of strategies and campaigns.
- Experience of leading individual giving teams and raising income upwards of £1M.
