Key Skills

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and accelerate the growth of sustainable income from Public Fundraising within agreed expenditure budgets and maximise return on investment. Currently encompassing Individual Giving, Lottery and Events.
· Lead and motivate the Public Fundraising team, ensuring that objectives are embedded and team members have the tools and support needed to succeed.
· Lead the collaboration with marketing and communication teams to integrate fundraising with brand, marketing and digital activity and optimise impact.
· Establish digital fundraising resource, skills and activity within the programme, collaborating closely with the central digital team and leading relationships with external agencies
· Work with the Supporter Experience, Data and Insight team to maximise the effectiveness of supporter journeys across fundraising.
· Play an active part on the Fundraising Senior Leadership Team including developing fundraising strategy and plans.

The Role
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Strategic Financial Planning & Control is a pivotal position within the Cycling UK team. Working as part of the leadership team within Cycling UK, this is an important role in leading the finance team and working to enhance the organisation’s longer-term strategic vision.
- Line management of the finance team members (4 reports) including supporting the development of all direct reports;
- Leading the preparation and implementation of a multi-year plan and annual budget aligned with our business planning and programme management processes;
- Lead budget and forecast reviews at appropriate intervals in the financial year to ensure accurate and timely forecasts of income and expenditure;
- Collaborating with the Chief Operating Officer, Senior leadership team and Heads of department to develop and embed a robust finance strategy which supports the delivery of our organisational strategy and aligns with our growth aspirations;
- Develop and maintain an effective system of financial controls that ensure the safeguarding of charity assets and the reliability of the financial statements;
- Lead the preparation and production of the annual report and accounts;
- Oversight for all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and ledgers;

Your Background:

Your key responsibilities include:
Philanthropy and fundraising partnerships programme management

Your knowledge:

In this role, you will be accountable for:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and direction to the Partnership Management team, ensuring we remain leaders in impactful partnerships with the private sector.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of Partnership Managers, fostering growth and maximising the holistic value of partnerships.
- External Engagement: Represent Save the Children UK externally, driving our profile and networks with key organisations and stakeholders.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to maximize the value of Save the Children in our partnerships and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Operational Delivery: Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and strategic planning to achieve partnership objectives effectively.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven track record of leading seven-figure partnerships with global businesses.
- Experience influencing and delivering results cross-organisationally in a large complex organisation.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills at senior levels.

About the role:
As our National Youth Project and Campaigns Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the charity’s youth strategy, we are looking for someone who is well organised, passionate and has a range of skills to work on a diverse project. You will develop engaging, innovative and creative national campaigns reaching young people, parents/guardians and professionals across the UK. You will also be responsible for supporting our Regional Managers in the development of regional campaigns.
Key responsibilities of our National Youth Project and Campaigns Manager:
- Leading on the coordination, delivery and prioritisation of all Fearless activity, including successfully developing and managing the youth strategy and overseeing National and Regional plans to ensure activity is aligned, measurable, cost-effective and on brand
- Project managing the development of engaging and creative national campaigns, from project brief through to launch and evaluation
- Working with the Digital Content and Creative Assistant, develop and sign off social media content in accordance with our brand
- Maintaining, reviewing and developing the Fearless website
- Inspiring and engaging our volunteer Youth Panel. Managing the recruitment and retention of the panel, as well as supporting all projects generated by the group
- Maintaining and developing the suite of Fearless resources; including digital assets, national artwork and crime specific resource booklets
- Managing the Youth Projects Coordinator role, supporting them to deliver their objectives and ensuring their professional development.

You’ll be leading and broadening our commercial offer, helping us drive even greater impact in water efficiency, and the income to support it, across the UK. You’ll refine our proposition and pricing of existing services, seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing audiences, as well as broadening our reach, engaging with completely new audiences and developing and shaping new commercial services aligned to new customer needs. You will have strong experience at senior level in driving commercial impact for good, and everything this involves in terms of income, growth, commercial strategy and delivery, and risk management. As our Head of Brand and Health Engagement, you’ll be responsible for managing a team to produce sector-leading, highly effective, marketing campaigns and customer journeys, inspiring more people to engage with and support the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and its lifesaving work.
Every penny counts so each piece of activity needs to achieve demonstrable results, driving active support and engagement with the BHF aligned with our brand & marketing strategies. You’ll champion effectiveness within your own team and take a lead role in the development of integrated marketing communications.
Working with peers, this role will ensure the integration of activity across all the BHF’s marketing communications and challenge agencies and in-house teams to develop the most effective approach.

Working arrangements
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.
