Myeloma UK is looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to join our growing Community and Events team.  You’ll be joining the team as we continue to refine and expand our mass participation events portfolio including London Paris Ride, Great North Run and 100 miles for myeloma. You will have experience in event delivery or project planning, delivering these activities within tight deadlines while successfully building effective relationships.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work remotely with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks and having an interest in sporting and mass participation fundraising events.

Previous experience or knowledge of digital marketing, virtual fundraising events and using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential. 

About the role

As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets.  You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.

The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made.  They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.

You will work with other teams, develop materials required to support all marketing and promotion of events, ensuring organisational brand, style and key messages are adopted and ensure maximum use of database and other technology to increase operational efficiency within event fundraising.

The Fundraising Executive, Treks and Challenges will support the delivery and growth of Grief Encounter’s national and international challenge events programme. This includes recruiting and stewarding participants, managing logistics, and ensuring all events are delivered to a high standard.

Working as part of a dynamic fundraising team, this role is ideal for someone with experience in Treks and Challenges, events, fundraising or supporter engagement, and who is enthusiastic about helping others take on personal challenges to raise money for a meaningful cause.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the delivery of a range of UK and overseas challenge events including the London Marathon, Royal Parks Half, London to Brighton Cycle, Ultra Walks and international treks.

The Fundraising Executive, Treks and Challenges supports the delivery and growth of Grief Encounter’s challenge events programme. This includes recruiting and stewarding participants, managing logistics, and ensuring all events are delivered to a high standard.

Help coordinate logistics with third-party providers and internal stakeholders.

Assist with registration and onboarding of participants, ensuring excellent stewardship.

Prepare and distribute fundraising packs and challenge materials.

Support event-day operations including attending challenge events where required.

Liaise with suppliers to organise merchandise, materials, and event assets.

Act as a main point of contact for challenge participants, offering guidance and motivation throughout their fundraising journey.

Help manage fundraising pages, track income and offer advice to maximise sponsorship.

Send timely and personalised communications to participants pre- and post-event.

Support the delivery of thank you processes and post-event engagement

Maintain accurate participant records using our CRM (E-tapestry).

Track fundraising totals and report on progress against targets.

Reconcile income and ensure donations are accurately processed and acknowledged.

Assist with compiling data and feedback for evaluation and future planning.

Work closely with other fundraising colleagues on integrated campaigns and initiatives.

Provide ad hoc support for other income streams (e.g. community events, corporate fundraisers and Grief Encounter events such as Gala dinners if needed).

Help contribute to the development of promotional materials and social content related to challenges.

We are looking for a Legacy Marketing Manager to join our Fundraising team.

Title: Legacy Marketing Manager

Salary: £43,260 - £46,350 per annum

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Job Summary

As a key role within the Fundraising Division, the Legacy Marketing Manager will work to achieve the essential long-term legacy income that helps Anthony Nolan to save the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.

You will do this by shaping and implementing our legacy marketing plans to achieve our long-term income goals. You will develop an audience-centric and insight-driven legacy marketing programme to attract and steward potential legators. You will also have line management responsibility and oversee our legacy administration work.
 

Key responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

• Develop and manage our legacy fundraising, setting and achieving agreed targets to help us to grow our long-term legacy income.

• Plan, develop and implement high impact, audience-centric legacy marketing campaigns to attract new legacy pledgers, considerers and enquirers. This includes activity across a range of channels from social media, digital, telemarketing, direct mail and events.

• Develop and implement compelling supporter journeys to effectively steward potential legators.

• Ensure that all legacy marketing campaigns are managed efficiently and effectively.
• Track, report and benchmark results to inform decision making for future activity.
• Overall management of our annual legacy income; management of our legacy administration, including overseeing the external legacy admin support.

• Build and maintain sustainable, constructive relationships with the team, colleagues and key external suppliers.

• Provide internal resources for learning about legacies, to aid awareness.
• Collaborate to ensure integrated planning for legacy marketing with the wider teams: Individual Giving, other fundraising teams, the register team, marketing and content along with other colleagues to identify sustainable ways to deliver our Fundraising strategic plan.

Essential attributes:

• Experience of creating and managing large scale, multi-channel, audience-centric and insight-led response-driving fundraising or marketing campaigns

• Demonstrable track record of achieving legacy fundraising success through integrated communications to individual supporters, with experience of effective supporter stewardship to drive loyalty

• A track record of developing and meeting targets within budget
• A working understanding of legacies and the legacy administration process and experience of working with solicitors and online will writing partners.

• Experience of producing financial analysis to improve lifetime value, including detailed income and expenditure budgets and reforecasts

• Experience of line management and coaching to achieve agreed goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
• Confident use of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Excel and First Class.
• Ability to understand, interpret and review plans based on complex information and situations

Job Summary

The People Administrator supports the effective delivery of all employee life cycle activities. With a focus on ensuring processes are followed accurately, efficiently, in line with audit and compliance standards and enabling a positive employee experience.

• Act as the first point of contact for People-related queries, providing support both face-to-face and electronically, ensuring professional and timely responses.

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of People, including data entry, booking & delivering inductions, photocopying, scanning, preparing contractual documentation, and general correspondence.

Meetings & Communication & Board Support

• Provide administrative support for employee relations casework and people-related projects, including scheduling, document preparation, and note-taking.

• Accurately take and distribute minutes for internal meetings, including Board, Committee, and annual staff meetings.

About The Role

The Programme Manager will form part of our European programme team, working closely with our functional leads to deliver impactful strategies that target emissions reductions from heavy emitting industries in the EU. This role will focus mainly on the issue of Chemicals Decarbonisation - where experience is preferable but not required - and take the lead on delivering EU-targeted activities and outputs. This role is initially set as a 12-month contract, with potential to extend, and will report into our Head of Policy and Research. 

What you will do

• Work with Climate Catalyst colleagues and partner organisations to develop policy options, positions and recommendations for European chemicals and to ensure effective engagement of business across different stages of our campaigns;

• Identify policy options and contribute to determining strategic policy positions and recommendations for decision-makers and those who influence them.

• Strengthen and build relationships of trust with key businesses, business NGOs, trade associations and other private sector actors

• Conduct stakeholder mapping, research, and analysis to identify strategies and tactics to effectively engage businesses and potentially investors in support of our policy objectives.

• Build knowledge in the field of decarbonising chemicals, with a specific focus on policy mechanisms such as the EU Emissions Trading System and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

• Lead strategies with partners for successfully targeting and engaging businesses to achieve goals and objectives to influence government policy

• In collaboration with partners, strategically engage C-suite executives and senior business leaders in support of campaign objectives, drawing on your network and the networks of other colleagues and partners as relevant

• Keep track of climate policy, technology, and economic trends pertaining to the private sector internationally, and specifically in Europe.

• Engage subject-matter experts, consultants, and researchers as necessary to support our strategies.

• Produce business-orientated outreach and policy advocacy materials – including memos, brief reports, letters of commitments, talking points, and speeches for business leaders.

• Produce scopes and terms of reference for targeted research on essential chemicals which will shed light on trade offs and influence our target audience. 

• Represent Climate Catalyst at relevant events and forums organised by partners and businesses associations.

What You Would Bring

1. At least five years of demonstrated experience in engaging businesses towards policy advocacy relating to climate change issues.

2. Experience engaging with EU policy-making processes

3. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on organisation-wide strategies.

4. Knowledge and understanding of the key issues pertaining to decarbonisation of the chemicals sector or other industrial decarbonisation policies and areas pertinent to Europe.

5. Strong initiative and an ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team.

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to distil complex issues for a lay audience.

7. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with the network of civil society organisations and progressive businesses.

8. Awareness of the potentially diverse opinions and voices of Climate Catalyst’s partners and ensure they are taken into account in our policy positions and recommendations.

9. Ability to adapt and respond positively in circumstances where priorities need to shift quickly, and be open to working on different issues over time.

Sutton Trust Online (STO) has grown into a key strand of the Trust’s programme strategy, serving thousands of students each year through content, events, and interactive learning. The Digital Programmes Officer is a vital operational role that ensures the platform’s day-to-day activities run smoothly. The post holder will provide logistical, technical, and communications support across the STO programme, becoming a first point of contact for student queries and responsible for maintaining clean and accurate engagement data.

Sutton Trust Online (STO) has grown into a core part of the Trust’s digital access strategy, supporting thousands of students annually through digital events and engaging content. This role is a key part of the team ensuring the platform runs smoothly and meets student needs. The Digital Programmes Officer will lead on platform logistics, technical support, and student communications, becoming a first point of contact for students and a steward of accurate data and high-quality content.

Main duties

Systems and Data

• Ensure data is clean, up-to-date and compliant with internal data architecture and GDPR standards
• Use Salesforce and associated dashboards to manage student data, track engagement and support targeting
• Support evaluation and contribute to analysis of student feedback and engagement data
• Test new features and functionalities
• Support with the utilisation of student feedback to inform platform improvements
• Maintain the STO platform's functionality, coordinating with external tech partners on technical issues

Content and Communications

• Liaise with the Digital Programmes Content and Events Manager to implement content updates, new features and improvements to the student experience
• Monitor and edit content for tone, accessibility, accuracy and relevance
• Be the first point of contact for student queries via the STO helpdesk inbox, providing timely and supportive responses
• Maintain and update the STO knowledge centre and help articles
• Schedule and support delivery of newsletters, email reminders, and event campaigns

Delivery Support

• Support with delivery of STO live events, including logistical and technical support
• Collaborate with partners on webinar delivery and student follow-up
• Support onboarding of students and ensure smooth user journeys across the platform
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Using digital platforms and systems (e.g. CRMs, CMS, comms tools)
• Detail-oriented, comfortable working with a variety of data-sets and writing clear, engaging content
• Proactive team player with strong communication skills
• Working within or an understanding of the not for profit sector;
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical skills
• High degree of initiative and the ability to take responsibility for a wide range of projects involve events, data, systems and content.
• Personable, flexible and discreet; able to fit in to a small team
• Experience in digital, education or youth-facing roles is desirable

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for leading and expanding the Trust's digital presence, ensuring our research, policy priorities, programmes, and alumni stories are shared in an impactful way with external audiences. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs, and working closely with one direct report, they will deliver a step change in digital communications activity, driving data-led improvements and developing new and compelling multimedia content for the Trust's website, social media channels and digital communications.

Main duties

Website and digital communications

• Oversee the management and strategic development of the Sutton Trust website and associated microsites.

• Ensure the main site delivers impactful communications showcasing the breadth of the Trust’s work, whilst being responsive to the needs of our key audiences: students, teachers, policymakers, academics and media.

• Lead on relationships with external web developers to drive forward improvements to the Trust’s websites, ensuring quality user experience and SEO optimisation.

• Use Google Analytics and other monitoring tools to evaluate website performance and inform improvements.

• Project manage the production of video content, and other similar projects.

• Format reports, design graphics and create digital assets, supported closely by the Senior Digital Communications Officer.

• Edit the Trust’s regular email newsletter, ensuring content is of the highest quality.

• Ensure the Trust’s brand identity is consistent across the digital space

Social media

• Oversee the development and delivery of the Trust’s strategy for growing its social media presence through Linkedin, Bluesky, X, Instagram and other emerging platforms as appropriate.
• Ensure the Trust’s priorities and mission are communicated consistently and powerfully across its social platforms.
• Develop and deliver strategies to maximise reach and engagement, including working with partners, alumni and influencers.
• Oversee the launch of the Trust’s new TikTok channel.

Person Specification
