The Trusts and Foundations Manager will play a vital role in supporting New Horizon Youth Centre’s mission by managing and growing a portfolio of valued trusts, foundations and statutory supporters. Last year, the organisation raised £4.5million, with £1.7million secured from trusts and foundations and £1.8million from statutory funders. In this role, you will focus on deepening relationships to secure meaningful, long-term support for our vital work with young people facing homelessness.

The successful candidate will join our busy Governance team, reporting to the Head of Governance and working closely within a core team of two officers and two senior officers. 

As a Senior Governance Officer, you will provide high quality governance support to the senior executive, Board and Committees as well as other stakeholders across the Fund engaging pro-actively with other teams and stakeholders across the Fund.  You will have a good understanding of governance in the public or voluntary/charity sector and be able to quickly familiarise yourself with the Fund’s complex governance framework.  You will be expected to use your knowledge and judgment to provide prompt and high-quality advice and feedback. 

You will show leadership in identifying, implementing, and maintaining effective governance processes and best practice, bringing changes where needed. 

A team player you will take pride in your work and the work of the Governance team. 

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• You will work strategically, managing complex meeting schedules and governance processes. 
• You will be attentive to the needs of the business and be customer focussed.
• You will ensure Fund governance processes and procedures are proactively and effectively managed and supported.
• You will establish strong networks across the Fund to ensure you understand and respond to the needs of stakeholders.
• You will be able to write clear information and minutes in a prompt manner.
• You will be recognised across the Fund as a reliable resource on governance matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
• You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, work autonomously, and consistently deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• You will provide advice to Governance Officers and support their development.
  
  The ideal candidate:

• You will have experience of working in governance, or a governance-related position. 
• You will be reliable, highly responsive, flexible and maintain high attention to detail and pro-actively identify and address gaps.
• You will be able to manage multiple priorities, handling complex schedules, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• You will have excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to a range of customers including senior stakeholders.
• You will be experienced and skilled in writing quality meeting minutes promptly after meetings. 
• You will have the ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.

The role is hybrid and UK based. However you will be able to travel to London for team’s meetings and occasionally to other locations within the UK to support governance meetings when required.

The Development Manager supports the delivery of Worthing Theatres & Museum’s (WTM) fundraising strategy across a broad range of income streams, including trusts and foundations, public funding, individual giving and corporate sponsorship.

The postholder will help identify, research and pursue new funding opportunities, cultivate and steward donor relationships, and craft compelling narratives which communicate the impact of our work. Working closely with, and reporting to the Head of Development, the Development Manager plays a key role in securing funding that ensures WTM’s long-term financial sustainability, that supports our creative and community-focused work, and that enhances our capital assets.

The Spear Assistant Coach will work as part of the River Church staff team, alongside the Centre Manager to deliver the Spear Programme, equipping and empowering 16-24 year olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities 

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work.
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear trainees. This includes running application workshops with past trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics. 

Relationship Management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations.
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre.

Church Community

• The Assistant Coach is directly employed by River Church, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
• Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within River Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.

• An active Christian, able to personally represent the values and beliefs of Resurgo and River Church, Ipswich.
• Passion for social justice and for working as part of the church to transform communities, especially supporting young people in employment or education.

The Role

The Media Manager plays a central role at our charity, working closely with the Head of Media and Media Officer to manage the public relations function. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute national and regional media campaigns to help people better understand our mission and motivate support.

The role is a hybrid of office and home working, requiring occasional meetings in the midlands and/or London. The frequency and location of meetings can be flexible, depending on the location and preferences of the successful candidate.

Main duties include:

• Generate regular, positive, proactive and reactive media coverage for the charity

The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller - an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership across the Soil Association Group, comprising both charities and commercial companies, including a new digital start-up, all working to transform the way we eat, farm and care for our natural world.

About you

You will:

• Be a qualified accountant with experience of leading a finance function in a complex organisation and have significant post qualification experience working in the not for profit sector ideally in a charity and a solid understanding of the Charity SORP  .

• Be a strong leader able to communicate well with your peers and team members and have resilience to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands from internal and external stakeholders. Experience of transforming finance systems and processes is also highly desirable.

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience of leading and engaging with finance and other corporate functions to develop a mature and rounded service. You will demand high standards, whilst being an empathetic and supportive manager who works collaboratively with people of all levels

• Be financially and politically aware, bringing a high level of knowledge on the delivery of good financial control and financial governance ensuring that an effective service is delivered.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Development team. Responsibilities:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy to implement and refine the organisation's major giving strategy, with a focus on securing mid-to-high level gifts.
• Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, ensuring personalised cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
• Develop compelling fundraising proposals, working closely with Programmes colleagues to gather project and financial information.
• Support the Head of Philanthropy in securing major gifts for key fundraising campaigns.
• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for project-specific donations from existing members.
• Collaborate with the Philanthropy Officer to research and identify new major donor prospects, building and maintaining a pipeline of potential supporters.
• Ensure high-quality donor stewardship through bespoke engagement, reporting, and recognition opportunities.
• Maintain accurate donor records, tracking gifts and ensuring accurate acknowledgment in exhibition materials, reports, and event invitations.
• Play a role in planning and delivering key cultivation events, to ensure our supporters remain engaged and events meet agreed KPI's.
• Keep up to date with giving trends and philanthropic developments, sharing insights with the team to inform strategy.
• Attend the organisation's events as appropriate.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained through the CRM system.
• Ensure all personal details are managed in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
• Work with the Philanthropy team to ensure philanthropic partnerships do not carry financial or reputational risk to the organisation and are compliant with the organisation's ethical fundraising policy through active Due Diligence for Ethics Committee.
• Work closely with the Finance team to ensure donations are managed efficiently.

You will bring:

• Experience of cultivating, soliciting and closing 5 figure+ gifts from individuals.
• Previous experience of contributing to or participating in strategy development, devising and implementing plans for major gifts fundraising.
• Pro-active, resourceful and entrepreneurial approach to fundraising and ability to take initiative and work autonomously when required.
• A highly organised and flexible approach to work, able to plan and prioritise a varied and busy workload and deliver agreed outputs to tight deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into compelling narrative form.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider Development team and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Innovative and creative approach to research methodologies and identifying prospective supporters.
• Previous experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.
• Knowledge of data protection legislation.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and results-driven Solutions Manager to join an established development team at one of the most dynamic and fastest growing charities in the UK. 

The Solutions Technology Team are dedicated to enhancing the delivery technology solutions we provide. Data underpins the insight that informs our decisions and shapes the way we build lasting relationships with our customers — from service users and fundraisers to campaigners and volunteers. With a focus on aligning technology solutions with business needs, the Solutions Manager will review requirements and turn them into clear, actionable project plans. You’ll oversee the full solution delivery process, including managing timelines, budget, resource allocation and risk mitigation. You’ll also manage the general maintenance of our bespoke in-house applications, which include bespoke ETL system, and front-end web applications.

You’ll be supporting the Head of Technology and Solutions with software architecture, databases support, network infrastructure, and relevant programming languages to a degree that enables you to grasp technical discussions and identify potential challenges.  Our in-house development platforms are built using PHP and Microsoft SQL Server and leverage robotic automation tools such as Toca.io and Power Automate all hosted-on Azure cloud infrastructure. 

Acting as line manager, you’ll oversee and coordinate the day-to-day work of our Solutions technology team, supporting two Developers, a Business Analyst and third-party developers to deliver projects on time and in line with business needs.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Solutions Manager with a strong understanding of the development lifecycle, business analysis, requirements gathering, database design, optimisation, and general programming. You’ll need to be comfortable overseeing and helping to shape the architecture of our bespoke in-house applications, while taking ownership of existing systems — understanding how they’re built, how they work, and the part they play within the organisation.

You’ll have proven experience in managing teams (both in-house and external) and providing coaching and development opportunities to help your team perform at their best. Experience with both Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) will be essential, as you lead the team to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.

Problem-solving and decision-making will be at the heart of your role, and your excellent communication skills will enable you to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, from technical teams to non-technical stakeholders.

STEM Learning is seeking a dynamic and creative Community and Content Officer to join our innovative Marketing and Communications team. The STEM Ambassadors Community is an online community of practice for STEM Ambassador volunteers (STEM professionals who encourage young people to take up STEM subjects and careers) to share ideas, resources and support.

The Role

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining a vibrant online community that connects STEM Ambassadors, educators and partners. Working alongside the Community and Content Manager, you’ll:

• Create compelling content: Lead on the development of content, curate engaging campaigns and identify the best distribution channels that will bring STEM to life.
• Foster engagement: Lead initiatives like competitions and milestone celebrations, interact with community members and curate diverse content to increase engagement and keep the community buzzing with activity.
• Platform support: Facilitate the effective use of the online platform (Higher Logic Thrive) and provide guidance to members, educators and STEM Ambassadors.
• Build partnerships: Collaborate with key employers, educational institutions and volunteers to amplify the community’s impact.
• Shape the future: Take ownership of innovative projects and continuously improve how we engage and inspire our network.

• Programme Leadership: You will own and continuously evolve the structure, content, and delivery of the Incubator programme.

• Startup Support: You will work hands-on with leading startups in the food tech space, coaching and supporting them during and after the programme on strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market topics.

About the Role

The Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships across Northern Ireland. Reporting to the Northern Ireland Director, with a dotted line to the UK Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with national and regional objectives. They will also lead and support their direct report, ensuring a collaborative, high-performing fundraising team.

About You

You will have proven experience securing high-value philanthropic gifts from trusts, foundations, major donors, and corporate partners. You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate. You are strategic and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising targets. To succeed in this role, you will be experienced with team management and/or contributing to a high performing teams’ success. Finally, you will hold a full driving licence and have access to a car to be considered for this role.

About our office
 
Our Belfast office is based in a listed building in a busy area close to lots of useful local amenities.

Concern is currently trialling a hybrid model. Staff are expected to come into their base office once per week or the monthly equivalent i.e. 4 times per month. Staff are also able to flex their start and finish times between the hours of 7am to 7pm daily.
