The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you will play a proactive, hands-on role in driving Business Launchpad’s fundraising activity. You will be responsible for building and qualifying a fundraising pipeline and securing income from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
The role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to craft compelling cases for support that demonstrate our impact. You will work closely with the Marketing and Impact & Evaluation teams to align messaging, evidence, and storytelling, ensuring funders clearly see the difference their support makes.
We are seeking a highly organised and conscientious individual with strong planning and project management skills, who thrives on taking initiative and seeing projects through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Build, qualify, and manage a fundraising pipeline and annual work plan.
- Research, develop, and submit high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
- Develop clear and persuasive cases for support that combine narrative and evidence.
- Contribute to the delivery of the annual fundraising event and community fundraising initiatives.
Relationship Management

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacies; retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraising team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundraising database.
The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to implement it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccurring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role could suit two types of candidates:
- A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;
- An experienced programme manager with strong public sector and/or charity sector experience, who is confident working with data and is relational and collaborative with colleagues and partners.
It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience of Family Group Decision Making, solution-focused practice, or the children’s social care sector.
Whilst this role is a managerial role, and not day-to-day family-facing we do make space for our Programme Managers to hold a limited number of referrals each year to nurture skills and practice experience. Full practitioner training is provided for all Daybreak employees.
The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. A successful candidate would also need to actively work in person with commissioners, external partners, and communities in and around Bromley and Hackney on a regular basis, depending on service needs. Willingness to travel to other areas, depending on service need and growth is needed.
What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?
No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:
Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims
- Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
- Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.
- Monitoring case records to make sure Family Group Conferences are progressing appropriately, and accurate records are being kept.
- Collating and analysing performance data (KPIs), using MS Excel and other tools.
- Writing quarterly reports for commissioners, analysing service delivery, providing narratives and identifying areas for development.
Working with your freelancer team of Coordinators
- Allocating new referrals to our team of freelance Independent Coordinators.
- Engaging Coordinators in best practice discussions, providing guidance to overcoming barriers or issues.

- Hosting in-person and online Practice Development Groups to share key messages and facilitate best practice discussions.

- Reviewing and signing off invoices from freelance Coordinators.
Working with external stakeholders and referrers
- Building relationships with referrers such as Social Workers, through consultations and attending team meetings.
- Promoting our services to commissioners and senior managers in children’s social care, ensuring referrals are high quality whilst also raising awareness of the value of FGCs and our service.
Contributing to the wider Charity aims
- Attending Programme Manager and staff team meetings.

DETAILS
- Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

We are Caxton Youth Organisation. We are a specialist youth club, creating community, breaking barriers and empowering learning disabled and autistic young people. Purpose of the role:
- To provide innovative, exciting and accessible youth work and youth projects to disabled young people aged 11-25 years old.
- To support the running of Girls Group aged 11 – 25 years, including accompanying minibus runs.
- To provide additional support to programme leads where your contribution can make the most meaningful difference. Our programmes are: Independence, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, Employment Support, Creating Communities and Opportunities (cultural experiences), Changemakers (social action), Health and Getting Active (health and fitness) and Greener Futures (environment).
- To support the delivery of our holiday programmes and residentials, providing overnight disturbance cover where you will be responsible for our female members.
Required skills, knowledge and qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years experience in the youth work sector.
- A minimum in Level 2 Youth Work or working towards a qualification.
- A highly motivated, passionate and creative youth worker.
- Strong empathy and a person centred approach.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of the principles of youth work as a distinctive practice of informal education and voluntary participation.
- An informed understanding of inclusive practice, with an enthusiasm to learn more and share your knowledge.
- Confident use of Microsoft packages.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Able to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
- Willing to work regular evening youth clubs, stay on overnight on residentials and work the (very) occassional weekend.
Desirable
- Experience of supporting learning disabled and autistic young people.
- Knowledge of Makaton or other communication aids.
- To have a driving licence
- Ability to drive a minibus (including a D1 licence and MIDAS qualification).
- First aid and/or mental health first aid training.

Abianda is a London-based charity that works with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and violence, and the professionals who support them. We exist to ensure young women are no longer hidden in our communities and can live free from harm and abuse. This entry-level role is open to 18-25-year-old young women* who have been affected by criminal exploitation and violence. These experiences could be direct or indirect through relationships or areas and places lived or spent time in. You may also be a young woman who has had experience with statutory systems such as criminal justice, policing, social services or the care system where some of your experiences may be related to what is typically known as ‘criminal exploitation and violence’.

Role Purpose
The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters. We play a vital role in demonstrating the impact of our work connecting data, qualitative insight, and lived experience to the policy agendas shaping communities across the UK. Through storytelling, analysis, and evidence, we make sure volunteering is recognised as a driving force for social change.
We are a small, hands-on team. You will be involved in every aspect of our work from desk-based research and writing briefings to organising external meetings and working directly in communities alongside our volunteers. This variety allows you to connect national policy with local realities and help volunteers share their voices where it matters most.
You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.
Key Duties Responsibilities
· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.
· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers.
· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.
· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.
· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.
· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.
· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.
· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.
· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups.
Essential Skills
· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.
· Understanding of policy, public affairs, or influencing, ideally within the voluntary or community sector.
· Confident communicator, able to engage with policymakers, sector partners, and community representatives.
· Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform narrative reporting and strategic insight.

The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. About the Role
BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. Some event and project management will be required, in particular supporting the delivery of seminars and training programmes, as well as community events.

Are you an experienced manager with a passion for delivering high quality services to people with learning disabilities? This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage.
