Job description

Head of Communications and Digital Content - Permanent

Full Time (37.5hrs per week) / Salary c£55,000 pa

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Communications and Digital Content to join our Income Generation and Communications Team. You will be responsible for devising and implementing The Children’s Trust communications and digital content strategy as part of the charity’s new five-year strategy ‘Hope and Ambition’. This will involve building The Children’s Trust’s brand and awareness online and offline; and helping to deliver a transformation in our use of digital in service delivery, income generation and stakeholder engagement, including the development of new capabilities in our teams.

You will have responsibility for leading a high-performing team to deliver a work programme that includes developing and delivering a multi-channel communications strategy, providing greater access to information, support and expertise for the children, young people and their families, staff, supporters, volunteers, the public and medical professionals. This role will also support the development of new and existing online and offline services and fundraising products, by developing content that engages audiences and drives revenue as well as proactively building and managing the brand, improving understanding of what The Children’s Trust does and raising awareness of the issues around childhood brain injury.

You will be a natural and enthusiastic leader, able to support a high performing team. With experience of working in a complex environment, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail.  You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
