We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Yorkshire and Durham areas, ideally based in the York area. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

We're looking for a talented Individual Giving Manager to join our small team. The role will be responsibile for the delivery of our excellent supporter stewardship, care and retention programmes, whilst driving fundraising growth. 

The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of Women for Refugee Women’s (WRW) individual giving fundraising strategy, including through a variety of income streams such as regular gifts, High Net Worth giving, corporate support, events, and legacies; to develop and deliver WRW’s support engagement journey in order to generate income from individual donors and to develop strong and long-lasting supporter relationships; to oversee and develop our stewardship retention programme; and to contribute to WRW’s overall fundraising strategy and income generation.

Role Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of the business centre. This includes oversight of facilities management, health & safety, lettings, team leadership, and budget management. The role ensures the business centre is well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and operational performance is continuously improved. Reporting to senior leadership, the Operations Manager contributes to strategic planning, drives efficiencies through systems and digital tools, and plays a vital role in sustaining high occupancy and tenant retention.

Role Responsibilities:

Centre Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and running smoothly.
• Ensure the lettings process is well-managed and aligned with policies.
• Implement and monitor operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise processes and services.
• Contribute to strategic operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges in collaboration with senior management.
• Report regularly on KPIs, occupancy, operational issues, and budget status to senior management.

Building Maintenance

• Oversee the upkeep and preventative maintenance of the property, ensuring high facility standards.
• Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers (e.g., cleaners, engineers).
• Monitor maintenance budgets and project timelines, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct regular building inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and waste reduction.
• · Maintain and develop use of CMMS (MaintainX) to manage and record all maintenance work.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with UK health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and fire safety.
• Develop and monitor health & safety procedures tailored to the site.
• Organise relevant training for staff and enforce contractor compliance.
• Maintain accurate H&S records, incident reports, and lead periodic audits.
• Support development and execution of emergency response and business continuity plans.
• Fire safety responsibility ( Fire Safety designated person))

Lettings and Lease Management

• Oversee the Assistant Lettings Manager and monitor the development and execution of the lettings process from enquiry to move-in, including viewings, negotiations, and onboarding and offboarding of tenants.
• Check we are maintaining up-to-date tenancy records,
• Draft lease documentation and ensure timely renewals and support the rollout of any rent reviews.
• Carry out twice-yearly audits of lease documentation.
• Maintain relationships with tenants to support retention and satisfaction.
• Monitor lease management by team, lease compliance and resolution of any lease-related issues.

Customer Service

• Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Foster strong relationships with tenants, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing tenants with the goal of maintaining high occupancy levels.

Financial Management

• Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and that projects are delivered within budget.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure cost-effective deals.
• Ensure tenant arrears are regularly monitored and managed.

Line Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the lettings and maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members as needed.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Project Management, or other relevant fields.
• At least 2 years’ experience in operations work.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Desire to drive operational excellence.
• Line management experience.
• Experience of managing a building, property or facilities beneficial.
• High comfort level with online tools such as MS Office, project management software,or similar.

This is an externally funded post which will be focused on opening new provision and supporting existing provision in order to reduce waiting lists within specific funding areas. You need to be able to coach, empower and inspire our volunteers and cadets, both in person and remotely, to grow the Sea Cadets.

• Promoting flexible volunteering and the volunteer strategy
• Assisting with running our social media accounts

The role and your key responsibilities
 

As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.

You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

• Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.

• Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and achieve a sky high resubscription rate.

• Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.

• Listen to teachers and students about how we can improve our customer service and the Unifrog platform.

• Attend conferences and run CPD events on behalf of Unifrog.

To achieve this, we are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Executive Assistant to be a supportive force to our Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership.  The post holder will have proven experience of supporting senior managers, including diary and inbox management, travel and event planning, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a responsive and details-oriented team player who demonstrates exceptional communication and organisational skills while also being able to work quite independently at times. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Executive support for GuildHE’s CEO;

• Diary support to the CEO, Director of Policy and Strategy, and Director of Operations and Membership;

• Secretariat duties for GuildHE’s Executive Board;

• Financial administration;

The School:

Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex.  The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. The Nursery, the Pre-Prep & the Prep cater for 370 boys, while the Senior School has over 960 pupils. The Senior School employs over 110 teachers and 160 Support staff across Merchant Taylors’ School.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.

· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.

· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.

· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.

· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.

 Stewardship

· Establishing and running a comprehensive benefactor stewardship programme that thanks and stewards donors at all levels, including legacy pledges, through regular communication and events.

Reporting

· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.

· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.

· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.

Safeguarding responsibilities:

It is the post holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact and to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy Statement at all times.  If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the School s/he must report any concerns to the Head Master.

What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;

Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allows shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. In just the last year, this campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools—supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Also shortlisted for a Business Charity Award, it is already a model for community-driven philanthropy.

Meanwhile, our All Dressed Up campaign—developed with World Book Day and Rubies Masquerade—confronted the often-overlooked issue of financial exclusion on key celebration days. More than 100,000 free dressing up costumes worth £1.34 million were delivered to children from low-income families.
