Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and play a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.

With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity leave expected to begin in March, this 18-month fixed-term role exists to lead and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level, with immediate responsibility for the Blenheim Ball (April) –  the event Tatler refers to as “ society’s smartest ball “chaired by Lady Alexandra Spencer Churchill; and Newbury Race Day (May) – one of Starlight’s longest-standing and most successful supporter events, hosted by Nicky Henderson and his Committee.

This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running and immediately take ownership of two flagship events. Working closely with the Committees, you will bring leadership, strategic judgement and outstanding project management to ensure these events continue to excel in reputation, income and supporter experience.

Mind in Croydon is seeking to recruit a full time Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA)  to join our small, dedicated team of Independent Mental Health Advocates working to provide advocacy services to adults subjected to detention under the Mental Health Act in the London Borough of Croydon to ensure they understand, express and exercise their rights, and to enable them to access essential services. The advocacy team also provides Community Mental Health Advocacy for people who are informal patients in psychiatric hospital or living in the community and provides weekly advocacy service at two InMind Healthcare Group hospitals in Croydon.

This role is suitable for a fully qualified Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) with a proven ability to support people under the Mental Health Act. We are not considering trainee positions at this time.

In December 2024 the team was awarded the Quality Performance Mark in Advocacy, a testament to their quality of service providing safe and life-changing support.

The Director of Communications and Marketing will combine strategic leadership with a readiness to get hands-on where needed, building sustainable systems, processes, and team capacity that set Back Up to achieve long-term success.

* Line manage a team of five in total with direct line management responsibility for two Communications and Marketing Managers, ensuring clarity, accountability, and professional development.

About the role

Solace Women’s Aid is delighted to be the lead partner for this innovative cross-borough project, funded by MOPAC. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Psychologist to use their knowledge and skills in psychological theory and practice to support non-clinical advocates working with women experiencing VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage.

About you

You will have experience working as a clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist. Your role will include fostering trauma-informed practice in the project, providing clinical support to non-clinical advocates through conducting ongoing Reflective Practice and clinical supervision.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into Care.

About the EACR

The EACR is an international scientific membership organisation supporting cancer researchers through conferences, funding schemes and community-building. Following a recent consultancy review, the organisation is now ready to appoint its first dedicated Fundraising Manager to establish and grow its income-generation activity.

The Role

This brand-new position will lead trusts, foundations and corporate fundraising. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Management Team, you will:

• Build the first fundraising strategy, pipeline and targets
• Develop compelling proposals and cases for support
• Cultivate relationships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners
• Work closely with scientific, communications and membership colleagues
• Provide strategic oversight of fundraising plans, reporting and forecasting

The organisation understands that fundraising takes time: no major income is expected until 2027, and there is a healthy financial buffer, giving you space to develop a sustainable programme.

About You

We’re seeking a generalist fundraiser with strong trusts experience and confidence in corporate partnerships. You’ll be strategic, proactive, collaborative and comfortable shaping a new function from the ground up.

£43,000 – £50,000 | 0.8–1.0 FTE | 18-month Fixed Term Contract
Hybrid: A minimum of once per week in the Nottingham office (Wednesdays)

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Fundraising Officer in our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice.

We are looking for an experienced Events Fundraiser to join our small but dynamic fundraising team. The role will be responsible for promoting and managing a mix of third party challenge events and bespoke events whilst providing excellent stewardship to our event fundraisers. 

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will implement a 5-year action plan to increase income, develop effective stewardship journeys and deliver a varied and successful events calendar.

About you

You will need:

• Experience of managing challenge events for a Charity
• Experience of managing campaign/activity budgets of approx. £40k per year
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage workload to hit deadlines

We are currently looking for a Senior Service Manager to oversee safe houses  based in Liverpool, Manchester and Halton areas. This role is a chance to combine your leadership skills, compliance excellence and compassion.

In the role you will:

• Lead and Inspire: Manage and motivate a dedicated team, ensuring they receive high quality supervision, training, and support.
• Champion Safety & Quality: Take ownership of Health & Safety compliance, safeguarding standards, and quality assurance measures including CQC and internal audits.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee budgets, payroll, and service delivery with a focus on efficiency and high standards.
• Empower Survivors: Ensure service users receive the care and advocacy they need to rebuild their lives.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in team management and compliance within a care or support setting.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
• Experience in modern slavery support is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
